I grabbed this blindly a couple of years ago because the salesperson convinced me. I don’t dislike Coach fragrances, but this one didn’t click for me at 100%. I didn’t love it and couldn’t connect with the scent. It has poor projection but lasts well on the skin. What I didn’t like was the dry-down and that synthetic touch. It’s not bad, just not for me. Advice: if you catch it on sale and feel curious, buy it to clear your doubts.
Fresh, woody, and spicy, it timidly reminds me of the Boss line, specifically Bottled Elixir. Longevity is average and it doesn’t bring anything new. It’s masculine, clean, and woody. For the price, it’s not worth it. Poor performance: about 4 hours with less than an hour of moderate projection. Look for another option at this price point; that’s my advice.
It’s a scent that reminds me of D&G’s K, as they share at least six notes. K seems more suited for night or dates, a bit sexier; Coach is more masculine and clean, ideal for everyday wear. It smells great, so if you buy it, you won’t regret it. It’s generic, yes, but if you’ve smelled hundreds of perfumes sharing these notes, it is. Cheers.
A fresh and citrusy perfume for summer and spring. Perfect for daily use, reliable, and easy to please. It doesn’t reinvent anything; it’s very generic, but it smells good. I don’t see the resemblance to D&G’s K, let alone the EDP.
I tested this today on a strip and was pleasantly surprised by the top, heart, and dry-down notes. It’s been on the strip for almost 9 hours and is still intense and delicious. It’s a fresh and masculine scent. I’ll apply it to my skin, and if it passes the test, I’ll add it to my collection.
Coach Open Road is a woody, aquatic, and musky fragrance. The opening is fruity and citrusy, fresh and pleasant. Minutes later, you notice woody, aquatic notes with a very slight spicy touch, reminiscent of fragrances from the early 2000s. It’s not novel, but it’s easy to like. It simply adds musky elements; generally, it’s fruity, aquatic, and woody. It’s versatile, perfect for warm spring and summer days, casual outings with friends, or any daytime activity. It lasted between 5 and 6 hours with low projection; sometimes there were bursts in the first hour, but afterward, I had to bring it closer to my nose. As a scent, it’s simple and easy to enjoy, but it falls short on performance.
I’ve tried this new Coach launch a couple of times. I confess I didn’t have high expectations, but it has something. It’s not about the novelty of the scent but rather that it’s evocative. I feel typical masculine wood notes and aquatic notes that aren’t explicitly listed. The result is clean, fresh, and elegant (I expected something more casual and generic), and it delivers. I’d categorize it as a good wardrobe staple. It might be pricey for what it offers (a bit under 50 euros for 100ml), but I think it’s a good versatile daily fragrance with a fresh-out-of-the-shower vibe, ideal for those rare days we all have when nothing appeals to us.
