Descripción
Coach Platinum by Coach is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, the nose behind this composition is Bruno Jovanovic. The top notes unfold with pineapple, black pepper, and juniper berries; the heart reveals cashmere, sage, and geranium; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with vanilla, leather, sandalwood, and patchouli.

Coach Platinum smells fresh, woody, with a spicy and sweet touch that sometimes leans smoky. At first, everything happens at once, but later the vanilla, musky, and creamy tones in the dry down stand out more without losing the spice. Black pepper is there, not aggressive (though it sometimes fades). Longevity on my skin is weak, performance is medium-low with average projection; the sprayer is disappointing. It’s a pleasant, easy-to-wear scent, but after months of use, the projection is very poor and I have to reapply a lot, wasting product. No one comments on it, perhaps because it doesn’t add much: while it’s not a clone of Dior Sauvage, it seems inspired by it. I like the aroma, but the poor performance disappoints me.
Coach Platinum smells fresh, woody, and spicy-sweet; it starts with noticeable smoky notes before evolving into a vanilla, musky, and creamy base without losing its kick. Black pepper is present, though sometimes it goes unnoticed. The longevity on my skin is weak, performance is medium-low with average projection, and the sprayer is disappointing. It’s a pleasant, easy-to-wear scent, but after several months of use, the projection is insufficient and I end up reapplying constantly, wasting product. No one has commented on it yet, perhaps because in the end it doesn’t add much: while it’s not an exact clone of Dior Sauvage, it seems inspired by it. I like the aroma, but its poor performance disappoints me.
As Charlieq08 said, it seems inspired by Dior Sauvage, and that was the first thing I thought when I tried it. For a good price, it’s great for the office or work with air conditioning. It lasts 6 hours, not bad. Strong projection for the first 2-3 hours, then it becomes more intimate. I think it’s a good mid-to-high-range option. Rating: 8/10, because it manages to remind me of Sauvage, which is my favorite. Oh, yes!

Good morning, I bought it a couple of weeks ago and here’s how it goes: right out of the bottle, it smells like a fruity ginger-type scent I’ve tried before. After about 2 or 3 hours, something very recognizable kicks in… wow! It turns into Dior Sauvage. In the end, it sticks close to the skin, leaving traces of black pepper, a touch of leather, and sandalwood. LONGEVITY: 8 hours close to the skin. PROJECTION: MEDIUM. SCENT: 7/10. WAKE: MODERATE. All of this in Bogotá, at 2,600 meters above sea level, with temperatures between 9 and 20 degrees. You be the judge! Thanks.
It’s a disappointing perfume in every sense because it lacks authenticity, identity, and originality, mainly because it’s a shameless, vulgar copy of the overused, disreputable, and mass-market Dior Sauvage. Honestly, I expected something better from Coach Platinum; unfortunately, it’s a waste of a mediocre, nonsensical perfume.
It’s a disappointing perfume in every way because it lacks authenticity, identity, and originality, mainly due to being a blatant, vulgar, and crude copy of Sauvage, which is already overused, trite, discredited, and massively overhyped. Honestly, I expected something better from Coach Platinum. What a shame; it’s a waste of mediocre, nonsensical perfume.
Good day, I bought it a few weeks ago and my first impressions are: at first, you notice a fruity touch similar to the Jaguar I’ve tried before. Then, after about 2 or 3 hours, I start sensing something very familiar… boom! A transition similar to Dior Sauvage. In its dry down and close to the skin, you can detect hints of black pepper, a touch of leather, and some sandalwood. LONGEVITY: 8 hours close to the skin. PROJECTILE: MEDIUM. SCENT: 7/10. TRAIL: MODERATE. This taking into account that I live in Bogotá, at 2,600 meters above sea level, with temperatures between 9°C and 20°C. Judge for yourselves. Thanks a lot.
Are you Dior Sauvage Pirate? The fact that this fragrance tries to copy or imitate Sauvage explains why the current men’s perfumery scene is so messed up, especially seeing how dubious brands make clones of Sauvage, One Million, Invictus, or Creed Aventus—fragrances that are quite overused, burned out, and disreputable. Seriously, there’s not much to say about Coach Platinum: it lacks authenticity, identity, originality, charisma, and personality; it’s simply infamous.
Is this Dior Sauvage’s pirate twin? The fact that this fragrance tries to copy or imitate Sauvage explains why the current men’s perfume market is so messed up. Plus, seeing how other dubious brands clone Sauvage or other low-quality fragrances like One Million, Invictus, or Creed Aventus—which are already overused, burned out, and discredited—there’s not much to say about Coach Platinum. It simply lacks authenticity, identity, originality, charisma, and personality. It’s infamous.
I’ve been a collector for a while now, already own 11 fragrances, and this is my second. It smells rich, sweet, and masculine without being overpowering. I’d recommend it blindly because it never disappoints; every time I wear it, it leaves me feeling great and happy.
Sweet but not convincing. The scent is rich and sweet, especially the vanilla and pineapple notes, but it sounds synthetic, weak, and doesn’t project much. It smells better on clothes than on skin; you have to apply a lot to get acceptable performance.
It smells good, but it’s generic. I feel like I’ve smelled it countless times in perfumes that cost way less.
It smells good, but it feels very generic. I feel like I’ve already smelled similar notes in perfumes that cost much less.
Hi… I recently bought this fragrance almost blindly because it was on sale. Honestly, I don’t like it; I’ve worn it several times and it just doesn’t convince me. We’re in summer here in my city, so I’m not sure if that’s affecting it. I’ll give it another shot in the fall and winter to see if it changes, but for now, I don’t like its scent at all.
I bought it blind, and upon testing, it smells like fried pineapple with cinnamon from the rodizio to me. It feels very masculine and geared toward a more mature crowd. It’s all-rounder, suitable for any weather and occasion. I gifted it to my dad because it’s more his style. I own Luna Rossa Carbon and have smelled Sauvage several times, and I can’t find anything similar to these two fragrances.
First Coach fragrance I’m trying: Coach Platinum. Wishing you all a successful 2026. Upon application, it smells like spicy vanilla with pepper that lasts a while before turning slightly creamy. It doesn’t stand out in longevity: projects for half an hour and lasts about three hours. It’s versatile, works for formal or casual wear. I like it more in autumn and spring; it’s ideal for day or afternoon, not for night due to its low projection. It has its charm, but there are millions of similar options in the market. In summary: spicy vanilla, medium longevity and projection, for formal or informal use. Cheers.
First Coach fragrance I tried: Coach Platinum. Wishing you all the success in 2026. Upon opening, it smells of spiced vanilla with a hint of pepper that lingers before turning slightly creamy. The performance is low: about half an hour of projection and three hours of longevity. It’s versatile, works for both formal and casual wear, and shines in autumn and spring. Perfect for daytime or afternoon, but not for night due to its weak sillage. It has its charm, but there are millions like it on the market. In short: vanilla and spices with average longevity and projection, suitable for any occasion. Cheers.
