I tried it in-store and knew within two seconds it was my signature scent; I’ve smelled over 300 perfumes and nothing else in this category is as charming… But I told the saleswoman I’d come back to see how it evolved on my skin (basically just to be thorough, since I was already head over heels) … and oh surprise, she wasn’t lying. In 15 minutes, 85% of the scent was gone. Nothing from Eau de Fraîche to the original Aqua di Gio has ever been this fleeting… What a shame… sometimes you don’t understand why they make things so hard, and the final step that would catapult them, they just let slip away.

Smells good, but its longevity and projection are a joke. There are better options on the market at the same price, even from the same brand.

This is a great perfume in my collection; it smells very masculine and elegant. I like to wear it in cool climates, like in spring. To me, it’s very similar to Jimmy Choo Man, which I also own, about 95% to my liking. On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours, which is formidable. I give it 9.5/10. A great aroma, modern, elegant, and gentlemanly. Easy to like.

I tried it for the first time at a mall and liked the smell; shortly after I bought it, and while the scent didn’t fully convince me at first, I’ve received several compliments. That said, it lasts quite a bit: with about 10 sprays on clothes and skin, it lasts 9 to 10 hours.

I didn’t expect much since I bought a cheap tester, and honestly, I absolutely loved it. It easily lasts 6 hours on skin and 7-8 on clothes. Sometimes I can’t smell it, but every now and then it releases bursts of a clean scent that reminds me I’m wearing it. Totally worth it, and I got it for around $35.

Rich scent with a strong fruity and sweet touch. Ideal for summer, spring, and autumn days, or those hot beach nights. Some might find it fresh, but I think Halloween Rock On beats it in terms of freshness.

I started with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the smell. It’s an aquatic floral masculine opening, very rich in the first hour before turning fully aquatic, reminding me of Bvlgari Aqva. It does its job, is versatile, but I recommend using it in summer or warm climates. Lasts the normal amount for its price. In summary: Scent 8/10, Presentation 10/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10.

Coach for Men is delicious and versatile, perfect for daily wear, the office, or school. I’ve tried many perfumes, and this is one of my favorites, not because it’s spectacular, but because it’s well-constructed: not too wild, not like Dylan Blue, and not excessively fresh. It’s a safe bet when you don’t know what to wear. It doesn’t stand out for longevity (5-6 hours), but it feels good and has a rich, subtle yet noticeable sillage. My wife loved it and could still smell it after 7 hours. You don’t notice it much on the skin, but it shows when you move. It’s generic but of good quality; worth it on sale, though always test first. Hardly anyone will dislike it.

Blue fragrance, generic. It smells good but lacks distinctiveness. I wouldn’t recommend it as a signature scent. As a blue scent, it doesn’t even compete with market leaders like YSL Y, Sauvage, Dylan Blue, or Bleu de Chanel. If you’re looking for something blue, versatile, and characterful, go for Salvatore Ferragamo’s Acqua Essenziale Blu: cheaper and more reliable. This perfume should cost around $25.

It’s very much in the spirit of the original Cool Water, but brighter and more energizing. I didn’t dislike it at all—in fact, I didn’t, even though I’m not a huge fan of aquatic scents. A good option for summer, though we’ll have to see how it holds up in cooler temperatures or air-conditioned spaces.

I use it for work: easy and nice scent. Smells synthetic but it’s addictive. Effervescent fruity opening. When it dries down, compared to other fragrances, it’s a middle ground between Legend and Legend Red, meaning a Legend that’s a bit fruitier. Usable as long as there’s no extreme cold or heat. Better for day than night; if at night, only for very casual situations. Coach for Men’s longevity is low: 4 or 5 hours, and I struggle to find it close to the skin. It doesn’t have great projection, but I must say I really like its trail during those hours: every time I move, lift my arms, or walk, I feel it very present, a weak but subtle presence; at 4 hours, when I can’t smell it on my skin, it seems to activate with movement. Very ideal for the office. People will smell you, they’ll know it’s you, and you won’t bother or invade anyone. Don’t miss out on giving it a chance just because of its low performance: decant/perfume in the backpack, reapply mid-day, and that’s it. Not everything has to be beast mode. EDIT 2025: it’s not that big of a deal… still a solid 6/10, good perfume.

This fragrance smells very good, super versatile, and has good performance for being an EDT. It’s one of the few fragrances I’ve bought where I can actually detect the different faces of the olfactory pyramid of the notes that make it up. Upon spraying, I immediately detect the volatility of the citrus/fruity notes, very delicious, projecting quite a bit for approx 30 minutes before gradually transforming into a slightly smoky, mildly sweet scent, and finally lasting until the end with an ambroxan and vetiver scent very similar to Dior Sauvage. If this fragrance had much better performance, it would undoubtedly be a perfumery jewel, but for the price, it gives more than it asks for, without a doubt.

COACH FOR MEN has left me indifferent this fragrance from Coach. In general, it’s a fragrance that fulfills its purpose, smells good. I can even say it smells very good. It opens with a pear fruity note, accompanied by some citrus, which will lose prominence as the fragrance evolves. The pear accord stays present until its dry down, where an amber base comes to the forefront. I also detect cardamom and coriander in its heart phase. The issue is that for me, it lacks personality; I feel it’s somewhat generic, though not entirely bad. In fact, it reminds me of certain scents from the early 2000s. Its performance is average, between 7-8 hours; the first two with medium projection, then gradually dropping to close-to-skin, although always present at distances under a meter. It has its charm. I see it as versatile, for use in moderate climates, excluding extreme heat and cold. Suitable for informal and semi-formal wear. Appropriate for the office and casual outings. Good value for money. Generates compliments.

It reminds me more of 212 VIP, too sweet for my taste and a bit cloying; now in summer I prefer citrus scents, for winter we’ll have to see, or rather, try.

I’ve had this fragrance for almost a year and I’ve been able to try it in every season; the first thing I must say is that it’s a very versatile fragrance. You can wear it to the office, the supermarket, a party, a bar, a dinner, and it won’t look bad; it’s a rich fruity scent that turns slightly woody and masculine, but quite generic and very plain, as happens with many of the blue fragrances that have flooded the market. It opens rich and fruity, but at least on my skin, the longevity is barely 20 minutes for the woods to come out, and in less than an hour it becomes a very close-to-skin scent; sometimes I struggle to smell it. The longevity on my skin is barely 4 hours, which is very fatal for a fragrance that, theoretically, shouldn’t have suffered the 100 reformulations of Le Male or Aqua Di Giò to have such bad performance. My recommendation is to smell and try, as within its family there are better options (which is not a scent that is pleasant to me at all), but searching in perfumeries, websites, or apps, it ends up at a disadvantage because for less money you can acquire something of better quality and longevity, or with a bit more money, acquire something better constructed. (Approximate price in Mexico 1200-1700 Mexican pesos or in dollars between 50 and 80 tentatively). In my personal opinion, I use it because it was a birthday gift, but the bottle runs out and I never plan to see it again.
