I’ve used Vetiver Parfum Cologne by Roja Dove three times and always enjoyed the scent. The issue is that the longevity and projection on my skin aren’t acceptable for nearly three euros per milliliter. It’s linear: it starts citrusy and then doesn’t evolve much. The blend of citrus, vetiver, moss, cedar, and a touch of sweetening florals works well. The vetiver feels more green and woody than earthy. The citrus notes are bright and high-quality, not harsh or synthetic, and the moss is well-executed, reminiscent of Scandal but subtler. You could wear it in any weather or occasion (if you ignore the price). To me, the vetiver note makes it feel more masculine. The major drawback is performance: it projects strongly at first but fades quickly, lingering only as a skin scent that requires sniffing to detect, which isn’t acceptable at this price point. I love the smell, but it’s not worth it due to the cost and poor performance. Still, I recommend giving it a try to vetiver lovers; it might perform better on someone else’s skin.
This is Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver but 150€ more expensive. It smells great, but on my skin, the performance is non-existent. If I have to choose, I’ll stick with the Ford one.
It smells good, but for the price, it’s a bit of a stretch. It’s a rich, fresh vetiver, similar to Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford as others mention, but the price isn’t justified under any pretext. It smells good, natural, and is well-made… but there are similar options for 150€ less and even 200€ less. Scent: 8 Longevity: 7 Projection: 6 Value: 3 Versatility: 9 Originality: 5 Overall: 6.5

Pure elegance in vetiver. Roja Parfums definitely knows how to create classy fragrances; this is one of them. It’s for everyday wear, especially indoors, because the longevity is lacking. To my nose, it smells more green than woody (I don’t know why they list it that way in the pyramid), where vetiver smells very natural. Even though it’s expensive, there are other options. Don’t buy blindly. 8/10.
Pure and elegant vetiver. Roja knows how to make classy fragrances, and this is one of them. Perfect for daily wear, especially indoors, though its longevity leaves a bit to be desired. It smells elegant and distinguished… BUT the citrus takes center stage. I expected a more robust and earthy vetiver, and instead got a citrusy cologne with poor performance. It doesn’t smell bad; there’s quality in the ingredients, but I expected more.
Is this vetiver? 🤨 People have it all wrong; when they smell something dirty and earthy, they think it’s gone bad in the heat, but this is pure vetiver. ➡️ Vetiver Parfum Cologne is green, fresh, and citrusy at first without much development. It’s made to please the masses and fill ‘Uncle Roger’s’ wallet so he can buy more Franck Muller watches and gold slave girls. It’s unisex and versatile. The performance is just okay: it doesn’t last long, but it’s made to refresh in the heat. Does it smell bad? No, it’s well-made and friendly. But for over €300, it’s not worth it: it lacks personality (it doesn’t smell like real vetiver) and originality (like Frederic Malle or Creed). No thanks.
The quality is impeccable all around. The price is high, as you’d expect from this brand. In my opinion, the closest match is Guerlain’s Vetiver Parfum, though once it dries down, Roja keeps its citrus notes much livelier.
The quality is exceptional all around. The price is high, as is typical for this brand. The closest thing to it is Guerlain’s Vetiver Parfum, though as Roja’s dries down, it keeps the citrus notes much livelier.
There are two camps: those who see any Vetiver as a copy of Terre d’Hermès Intense, and those who believe only Dr. No gets it right. I’m a fan of the note in Roja; I own several bottles with different nuances and love its versatility. It can be serious or casual, dark or bright, ranging from earthy to fresh. The similarity to Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver is undeniable. Roja doesn’t win on originality, but the quality and skill of the blend are top-notch.
