Descripción

Nina Precious Gold by Nina Ricci is an oriental floral fragrance for women. This creation, launched in 2024, was designed by Olivier Cresp and Nicolas Bonneville. Its olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of tangerine, bergamot, and Sicilian lemon; a heart evoking orange blossom, almond, and pistachio; and a warm base composed of vanilla, cedar, ambroxan, and musk.

To me, it’s a vanilla orange blossom with a faint almond note. It’s very soft and has average longevity on my skin. Despite sharing notes with Girl of Now, I disagree with the similarity claim. In Precious Gold, the characteristic pistachio of the other isn’t felt, nor is it as sweet or powdery.

  • Well, well… I adore all of Nina’s apples, but something curious happened when I tried this. For the first two hours, it reminded me of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle (regular version). I don’t smell the pistachio or the orange. After that time, it’s similar to the Elie Saab, even more so than Hypnotic Poison, but creamier as they say. So I won’t buy it; it doesn’t seem original to me, it smells like many others. I’ll stick with their previous apples.

  • It smells similar to Elie Saab, but to me, this is creamier, it’s gourmand, and a delight. It has a good trail and longevity.

I bought it blind and loved it. Although Nina Ricci isn’t my favorite brand, it’s a rich, sweet, friendly, and easy-to-love perfume. I own the GON, and the first splash reminded me of it, but I don’t think they’re dupes. The Nina is a bit more ‘fresh’ than the Elie Saab one. It has an acceptable trail and good longevity; it lasts on clothes for days. The packaging is gorgeous.

  • I love it. It’s different from everything I own; I even bought the GON hoping for something similar, but it doesn’t have it. That rich touch of this Nina, that dance of sparkling sweets that come and go with that vanilla pistachio background, is unique. Should I let the GON macerate? I only feel a hint of that at first. This Nina lasts hours with that sweet, earthy, sparkling vanilla. Among the super-sweet ones, the closest is the GON, but this smells more ‘clear’ and the Nina like a dense ‘dark’ sweet. More than fresh, it’s acidic, but so dense that its acidic notes dance among the sweetness and deepen it like stitches in the vanilla. Conclusion: a delight, an absolute yes. It lasts on clothes indefinitely and puts me in a good mood to smell it on a garment; I run to smell it on the bottle. My best apple scent without a doubt. Sweet, bold, fun, enveloping, and addictive.

If it’s gourmand, don’t even try it. Why is sniffing like a cupcake in fashion? Our sense of smell has been ruined.
