Descripción
Les Delices de Nina by Nina Ricci is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by Marie Salamagne and Olivier Cresp. I received a sample a month ago. The name caught my attention; I thought it would be a sweet summer perfume, but it surprised me with a citrus, fresh, and clean scent. A bit disappointing for me, I expected something else.
I smelled a lot of vanilla and caramel, I loved it.
I was gifted this delicious fragrance, sweet and floral. I loved it even more than expected. Like all of Nina Ricci, it’s one of my favorites, along with L’Extase.
I absolutely love this perfume, highly recommended. It’s feminine and youthful, perfect for spring, just right for these days. Nina is a genius.
Very rich fragrance, pity it didn’t have good longevity or projection on my skin… although… I used it last summer and what a pleasant surprise to find a pashmina in the drawer and smell this perfume in all its glory despite the months. That reconciled me a bit with it: on my skin nothing lasted, but on clothes it was felt. It’s delicious, very suitable for everyday wear, and differs from the original by being both sweet and citrusy, leaving that irresistible caramel touch at the end.
Very rich fragrance, pity it didn’t have good longevity or projection on my skin… although… I used it last summer and what a pleasant surprise to find a pashmina at the bottom of the drawer and feel this fragrance in all its splendor despite the months. That made me reconcile a bit with this perfume: it seems that nothing lasted on my skin, but on clothes it was felt. The fragrance is rich, very for every day, and it differs from its original by being sweet yet citrusy at the same time, leaving for the end that irresistible caramel touch.
A delight! I love it so much.
Using gourmand notes is harder than it looks. Many big houses sometimes get it wrong. Nina Ricci is a special case: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. In Les Delices, with notes by Olivier Cresp, they use citrus at the start to prevent the sweets from overpowering. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Les Delices is more indulgent, fulfilling its mission to be a treat. It’s not eccentric; it seems like Nina’s answer to the success of Bonbon by Viktor&Rolf. I like it. It’s a simple blend of fresh and sweet fruits dancing over a heavily loaded gourmand base, with lemon and tangerine to avoid cloyingness. It’s a plural aroma, easy to find similar ones (it has reminiscences of Miss Dior Cherie, as if it were its daughter). It evokes a charming, hopeful, and friendly world, worthy of a fairy tale or a Barbie movie. It’s pure joy and an enthusiastic alternative. It has wide sillage and medium-low longevity, versatile for intermediate seasons, but shines best in spring when summer arrives. Despite being trendy and not innovative, it’s a respectable fragrance. In fact, it’s splendid on male skin (without testosterone); if it were me, I’d gift it to a teenager or wear it myself.
Using gourmand notes is more complicated than intended, and honestly, there are many designer houses whose audacity with this is reproachable (Yves Saint Laurent, Viktor&Rolf, and Lancôme have shown that sometimes they don’t know how to use them well). Recently, I read in an English forum that gourmand notes should be left to Thierry Mugler, Aqualina, and some celebrity brands (in some aspects, I agree). Nina Ricci is a particular case with gourmand notes; sometimes it uses them well and other times not. Seeing the notes of Les Delices de Nina, I noticed it was created by Olivier Cresp and uses the same strategy as the Nina line since 2006: a citrus opening to prevent the candies from saturating the fragrance (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t). Les Delices is much more indulgent; it allowed itself to use gourmand with honor and fulfill its mission: Be a delight! And since it’s not an eccentric fragrance (it seems like Nina Ricci’s answer to the success of Bonbon by Viktor&Rolf), I must affirm that I like it. It’s a simple mix of fresh fruits and sweets dancing around a calorie-charged gourmand cascade, with lemon and tangerine to avoid a cloying effect. To be honest, it’s a quite pluralized and simple scent where finding something similar is easy (it also has certain reminiscences of Miss Dior Cherie; in fact, it could well be the daughter between Cherie and Nina 2006). It evokes a charming, hopeful, detailed, and friendly world (worthy of a fairy tale or a Barbie movie). Les Delices is a fragrance overflowing with joy and a very enthusiastic alternative. With wide sillage and medium-low longevity, it positions itself as a versatile option for intermediate seasons, although it would stand out better in spring when summer begins to threaten. And despite mentioning it in my Nina (2006) review, I want to affirm that Les Delices is splendid on male skin (note, it contains nothing of testosterone); in fact, if it were up to me, I would use it as a gift for a teenager without hesitation (if I weren’t using it myself). Given that it’s quite trend-driven and not innovative, for me, it makes a quite respectable fragrance.
It’s a gourmand scent but on the light caramel side, like strawberry popsicles, lemon candies, and orange gummies. You can smell the strawberry and raspberry with jasmine, so it’s also floral. It’s a simple, watery, playful perfume, perfect for going out during the day to play or stroll. It’s light, with moderate longevity, and you don’t need to spray much; it’s noticeable easily. Suitable for young people at school or university; it’s like taking a break in a candy store.
It’s a gourmand scent but on the side of light caramel, like strawberry popsicles, tutsi pop, lemon candies, orange gummies, or candy sticks. You can perceive the strawberry and raspberry with a pronounced jasmine, so it also smells floral. Like any limited edition perfume, it was hard to find; in fact, I bought it in another country. I love its scent like all sweets, and I can perceive almost all its notes. It seems to come from a children’s story, like Hansel and Gretel or Alice in Wonderland. It takes me to a world of candies (and of course, Papabubble did its job), and it’s what I look for in a perfume: that it captures my scent, its packaging, its story… that it transports me. That I can smell it once and a thousand times without getting tired. Because not all perfumes accompany you on the ‘Girl to Woman’ journey. Not all can make you feel unique, beautiful, innocent, and mature at the same time. A point against: its longevity isn’t as durable as the classic Nina (which doesn’t annoy me because it’s not a perfume but an eau de Toilette).
It seems very similar to its older sister Nina, just with fruity and sugary touches that make it smell like a little cake. I tried it with a sample, I liked it, but I wouldn’t buy it.
It seems like a punch soda with sugar, very similar to the classic Nina but with that sugary touch. I like it. It has moderate sillage and good longevity.
I love this perfume with all my being; it has made me receive many compliments and it has a wonderful sillage. Personally, I find it cozy, sweet, and delicious; the citrus notes stand out, it’s sweeter and fruitier. I hope to find another one like it soon. I don’t want it to ever run out 🙂
I love this perfume with all my heart, it has made me receive many compliments and has a wonderful trail. It feels cozy, sweet, and delicious. The citrus stands out; it’s sweeter and fruitier. I hope to find another one like it soon. I don’t want it to ever run out.
Hi! I went by the reviews and bought it blind; since it’s a limited edition, there was nowhere to try it… I’m embarrassed to say it, but we didn’t fall in love on my skin; it feels like a masculine scent. I tried it on my mom’s skin, and it’s a different story. The bottle is a gem, and with that, I feel satisfied; I wanted to sell it, but my dog destroyed the box 😭.
I tried a decant I received as a gift, and the first impression was: it smells like flat champagne, but after 5 seconds, a sharp, sparkling apple explodes (here in southern Chile, there’s a yellow apple called ‘limona’ that smells exactly like this). After 5 minutes, that acidity fades and a sweetness with caramelized red berries emerges, reminding me of teenage memories of those 3 seconds before the first kiss with someone you like (I don’t know why, but when I smell my wrist, I think of that). Finally, about 3 hours later, almost no one notices it, but up close, I still feel a candy note for myself. It’s not long-lasting nor does it have a huge sillage; I’d wear it during the day when I want to smell good without invading anyone. It’s a very youthful scent. Since it’s a limited edition, I’d buy it just for that, not because I need it in my life.
I tested a decant that arrived as a gift. The first impression was like flat champagne, but within 5 seconds, a tart, sparkling apple came out (like the lemon apple from Chile). After 5 minutes, that sparkle fades, and I feel a sweetness with caramelized red fruits that evoke that teenage sensation of seconds before the first kiss with someone you like. At the end, about 3 hours later, it’s almost imperceptible to others, but up close I still feel a little piece of personal enjoyment. It’s not long-lasting nor does it have great sillage; I’d wear it during the day when I want to know I smell good without invading. I think it’s very jovial. Since it’s a limited edition, I’d buy it just for that, not because I need it.
