What an amazing floral explosion! At first, it smells fresh with a spicy touch, then it becomes creamy but stays 100% floral. The narcissus shines spectacularly—it’s elegant, feminine, musky, and very sexy. I bought the 7.5ml mini and loved it, but I wouldn’t pay the price for the full size. I have other narcissus scents that drive me crazy: Honour by Amouage (more refined), Alien by Mugler (more imposing), and Rouge Malachite by Armani Prive (pure perfection). For me, it’s unnecessary, but if you’re missing a good narcissus scent, it’s a great addition. Projection and sillage are a solid 10.
A while ago I considered buying Chanel Cristalle and hesitated when I saw it was marketed only for women. Then I realized 1947 is unisex, which made me think Cristalle would be for alpha males. To my nose, 1947 smells like florals with narcissus as the star, jasmine underneath, and a very soft touch of rose. Over time, it settles into a lighter, ethereal floral narcissus. It’s a refined and elegant fragrance. For a woman, it’s perfect for everyday wear; for a man, it’s only suitable for a slightly wild party.
