I bought this blind without testing it, and wow, the risk was worth it. Glad I got the small size because this stuff is potent. If you don’t absolutely crave jasmine and neroli (even though it’s not listed on the label, I’m pretty sure it’s there), don’t buy it. Ugh, the opening is a floral slap in the face that lingers almost forever. I had to layer it with Miss Dior Essence and Poison Girl to soften it, because on my skin it was suffocating. It’s all about personal taste. Everyone calls it a miracle here, but for me, it was extremely intense. Definitely try before you buy.

It reminded me of Alien, but it surprised me and I really liked it on my skin. Although the price gives me a heart attack, I’m not ruling out saving up to buy it someday.

  3. A modern floral and top pick for fresh days. The jasmine stands out, sweet, paired with an amber base. Rich essences for a rich fragrance. I see it as very feminine. The longevity is excellent and the sillage is moderate. I love jasmine perfumes, and here it is harmonious and nocturnal. I don’t smell the rose, but I do notice the amber reinforced with labdanum, giving it a sophisticated touch. Ideal for formal events, engagement dinners, or night outs. A waste for everyday wear (in my opinion). Perfect for gifting or for a confident woman who knows what she wants.

The first one my now-husband gave me; it’s a jewel. It lasts more than 15 hours with just two sprays—enough to dazzle at a gathering. It’s formal, elegant, a delight, and the packaging is gorgeous, shifting and evolving throughout the day; it’s enchanting. Exquisite.

Just a few drops are enough to enjoy this beautiful perfume. Thanks to the girls at the store who bathe me in it every time I go. Highly recommended for winter.

Delicious. It’s different from J’adore; I expected a boosted J’adore, but it’s something wonderful in its own right. It’s intense because it’s a pure essence, the crème de la crème, and I love that Dior lets us try it or buy it at a reasonable price. You can immediately detect the tonka bean, amber, and vanilla, then the rose, jasmine, and French labdanum appear. It evolves slowly, softening until it leaves a trail of vanilla and patchouli. In terms of longevity and sillage, it feels a bit short compared to expectations, but it’s good or superior to many. It lasted 5-7 hours with two sprays, which is enough. It’s a mature, refined, powdery aroma, suitable for women 30+ because it’s intimidating, it’s luxury, opulence, something special. In short, it’s an excellent scent, but given the price of the 40ml bottle and its longevity, maybe it’s not the best purchase.

They just gave me a sample of this magnificent perfume, and yes, it’s very pleasant, elegant, and subtle. It’s very penetrating, yet delicate. You can really smell the French labdanum. I recommend it.

  9. This is a masterpiece, with a capital M. So refined, with a quality superior to other J’Adores and it doesn’t resemble any of them. Nothing fresh, doesn’t smell like soap, not for summer heat (only for night). It’s a very sexy and addictive floral; the vanilla is warm and there is absolutely nothing synthetic, a miracle. You can tell it’s natural. It’s my second favorite (for now), lasts more than 12 hours on skin and more than a week on clothes. I just hope they don’t discontinue it. Magnificent floral with an oriental touch, a 10.

  10. This is a masterpiece, with a capital M. So refined, with a quality far superior to other J’Adores, and it doesn’t resemble any of them. It’s very distinct; it doesn’t smell like soap or anything fresh, and it’s not for hot summer days (only for evening). It’s a very sexy and addictive floral; the vanilla is warm, and there’s absolutely nothing synthetic about it—a marvel. You can tell it’s made with natural ingredients. I adore this perfume; it’s my second favorite (for now). It lasts way longer than 12 hours on the skin and over a week on clothes. I just hope they don’t stop making it. Magnificent floral with an oriental touch, a perfect 10/10.

  11. They say it’s made with high-quality raw materials and that the rose and jasmine petals are hand-picked, and you can tell when you smell it. For me, the original J’adore never worked; it was overwhelming, as they’d say in English: ‘too much’. However, L’Or is pure luxury, pure gold as its name suggests. It’s warm, and its amber is the typical Dior one, reminding me of the original old Dune, that creamy, powdery amber that decorates the bouquet of roses and jasmines. It’s simply delicious. My husband liked it quite a bit, and when I say quite a bit, I mean quite a bit. It’s not the typical romantic perfume; it’s feminine, yes, but on a different scale: wild, sensual, and sexy. It’s a dense scent (almost 80s) but not suffocating, it’s long-lasting, and not just for personal enjoyment, but for those around you, because it provokes, without causing scandals, but it provokes. Contrary to the ‘experts’, for me it’s the best of the J’Adore line. I’m happy to have it, and my husband is even happier.

I never liked the original J’Adore; it felt overwhelming, like the English would say, ‘Too much.’ But L’Or is pure luxury, pure gold as its name suggests. It’s warm, and its amber is the classic Dior kind—it reminds me of the original Dune, not the reformulated version: that creamy, talc-like amber that beautifully accents the bouquet of roses and jasmine. It’s simply delicious. My husband liked it quite a bit, and when I say ‘quite a bit,’ I mean quite a bit 😉 It’s not your typical romantic perfume; it’s feminine, yes, but on another level: wild, sensual, and sexy. It’s a dense scent (almost 80s vibes) but not suffocating, long-lasting, and enjoyable not just for yourself but for those around you because it provokes—without being scandalous, but it still provokes. In my opinion, and contrary to what some ‘experts’ might say, it’s the best of the J’Adore line. I’m thrilled to finally have it, and my husband is even happier.

  13. Light, with a pleasant amber note, warm without being overwhelming, good balance between flowers and fruits… can be used any time of year. It’s a very intimate and subtle scent. I would never dare to wear it, as it will always remind me of my mother.
