It’s truly exquisite. At first, the opening feels half-synthetic, like an affordable catalog perfume, but the heart and base mutate into something like Spicebomb and Bvlgary Man in Black. It has that same DNA but without the leather and feels sweeter. On my skin, it lasted about 24 hours. Being slightly more floral and sweet, it could work in spring, but it’s really for cold winters and autumns, day and night. I didn’t overdo it, but it’s a noticeable and beloved perfume, a lot! If you’re over 26, I think it could be your signature. 100% recommended.
This Hero by Burberry collection is interesting. Its longevity is very good. It’s not annoying or cloying; the opening is slightly intense but enjoyable. It’s a woody scent, and that’s what dominates. In the opening, you can appreciate the white cuaba flower with a slight cedar aroma (which makes it very rich), and as it dries down, it becomes quite woody. Its trail is good; I received compliments on my first outing. I recommend it only for winter. Regarding the opening, even more so if you wear it in the afternoon. It’s a very good and pleasant Parfum, not a youthful cologne. Something I noticed is that this perfume is easily overshadowed by others; up close, it gets lost among several. 4.7/5
A very simple and easy-to-understand perfume, but that doesn’t stop it from being beautiful. It’s exquisite quality. The only downside is an outrageous price for something so simple. You can’t charge 180 euros for a perfume with just 3 or 4 notes; it’s disrespectful to customers. This isn’t high perfumery; it’s just expensive perfume.
A very pleasant and easy-to-wear fragrance. It’s sweeter than the EDT and a bit darker. It doesn’t project much, but the longevity is acceptable. Regarding the notes, although not listed, I get a very present pepper freshness at the start that accompanies the entire development. As it dries down, that sweet wood appears with something that smells like coconut or cocoa shell… very rich. On the skin, the sweetness stays more vanilla-like with that hint of pepper. I see it as super versatile, nothing aggressive, and ideal for close quarters. I owned the EDT and tried the EDP, but this is the one I like the most. I recommend it for medium or low temperatures, though I don’t think it would be bad on slightly warmer nights. That said, I’ve seen it priced very high for what it is… Luckily, I caught a deal 😛
It’s dry and super woody. I didn’t like it.
It feels very dry and heavily woody. I didn’t like it.
Never trust compliments with this scent. It is, without a doubt, the woodiest perfume I’ve ever tried: it’s not amber or resinous; it smells straight like cedar. The opening is powerful, but after an hour the projection drops and it stays close to the skin. Based on the notes, the best time to wear it is in the afternoon during autumn. Even though it’s woody, it’s not cloying; it’s super versatile. I wouldn’t use it for special events, but rather as a personal signature.
My number 100 review: Hero in Parfum version. A masterpiece. Extremely woody fragrance with a beautiful earthy touch that turns it into a true elegant beast, pleasant and extremely distinguished in designer perfumery. The cedar is excellently crafted, ensuring it doesn’t fail to attract compliments and glances. It pleases and distinguishes the wearer in a positive way. Outstanding performance in longevity and projection, and a valid quality-to-price ratio. Highly recommended; I invite you to try it and marvel at this woody-earthy work of art.
Hero Parfum is woody and aromatic. The opening is slightly fresh wood, like with a citrus spice, plus there’s a herbal accord that makes the wood very aromatic. It seemed very linear to me, smelling almost the same from start to finish. It’s for daily use: office, casual outings, family time, meals, or dinners. Suitable for spring, fall, and winter. Lasted nearly 8 hours on me with a discreet trail. I liked it; it’s very pleasant, but I think it lacks something to be memorable, as it doesn’t create a good olfactory memory and I could confuse it with other fragrances.
I sense fresh wood, not heavy. One note gives me a minimal herbal vibe, perhaps due to the wood itself. There’s a nutmeg-like smell. Even leather, though it’s not in the ingredients. It smells fresh and elegant; reminded me of CK One Shock due to the cedar or wood note; it makes you get confused and feel like you’re wearing mature or dark leather and tobacco scents.
Hero Parfum is a woody and aromatic fragrance. The opening scent is slightly fresh wood, as if it carried a citrus spice, plus you can perceive some herbal accords that make the woody smell very aromatic. The scent seems very linear to me; it smells almost the same from start to finish. It’s a daily-use fragrance, perfect for office work, casual outings, family events, dinners, etc. As for the seasons, it could be used in spring, autumn, and winter. Its longevity on me was close to 8 hours, with a discreet trail. I liked the aroma; it’s very pleasant, however, I feel it’s missing something to be memorable, as the scent doesn’t leave a good olfactory memory; I could confuse it with other fragrances without knowing which one it resembles.
Rich perfume. I was given two 2ml decants of one I bought and used them today; it smells great. The scent isn’t complex, bordering on generic, but in one day it earned more compliments than other infinitely better perfumes. Ideal blind buy for a friend, partner, or father who isn’t a fragrance enthusiast and just wants to smell good.
The first cypriol fragrance I’ve loved. Nothing complex; simple, not simplistic. Light woody notes (I wouldn’t call it fresh) with a sweet amber base and a faint rose touch. Lasts a bit over 6 hours with moderate-to-low projection. The scent is linear from start to finish. It performs much better dry and I’ve noticed it for a week. Even dry, it smells more enchanting. I wished it had more sillage, but the aroma is delicious.
Although it looks strong at first glance, once you smell it, you can’t stop. It’s nothing heavy, very fresh, a soft scent with citrus-woody tones. I’d wear it for everyday use; it smells very personal and is quite distinctive.
A mix of the EDP and Intense, but this Parfum leans mature. Cederwood, slightly sweetened, with an elegant, nocturnal touch. It carries an unlisted balsamic note and a background cypriol that reminds me of softened suede. As it dries, it settles into a classic woody scent for elegant men over 30. Fans praise its cypriol and longevity. To me, it doesn’t feel very original; it smells like something I’ve encountered many times in perfumery. It lasts 8 hours without issues, but that should be the bare minimum for a designer fragrance; nowadays, most last a max of 5 hours, which feels mediocre.
Smells like the EDT base but with a more open vibe. It’s not bad, though it doesn’t reach the freshness of the EDT.
Incredible fragrance. Spectacular longevity: I sprayed it yesterday at 4 PM and could still smell it today at 1 AM. Now I’m just praying they don’t reformulate it.
A very good perfume. I’m not sure, but I sense a faint coconut scent beyond that creamy wood.
Noble wood. Although there are more notes, the perfume is 100% woody from start to finish. It becomes sweet and resinous over time, ending up similar to the sandalwood in Santal 33. Recommended for nights or cold autumn/winter days. EDIT AFTER 5 MONTHS: It’s the designer sleeper of the year; every time I use it, I like it more. After maceration, the potency multiplied and it lasts over 12 hours on clothes. Dry, 100% woody, and with that medicinal cypriol scent that takes it to another level. Highly recommended if you want to step out of the SWY and LME crowd. The Hero line is interesting; each flanker is different. The EDP is the most balanced, but for me, the best is the Parfum Intense, even though it’s less wearable than the Parfum.
Noble wood. Obviously, it has more notes than listed here, but the perfume is 100% woody from start to finish. It becomes sweet-resinous over time, ending up something similar to the sandalwood in Santal 33. Recommended for cold nights or days in autumn-winter. EDIT AFTER 5 MONTHS: for me, it’s the designer sleeper of the year; every time I use it, I like it more. Added to that, after macerating for a few months, its potency has multiplied and it lasts over 12 hours on clothes. Dry down: 100% woody and with the medicinal scent of cypriol that takes it to another level. Highly recommended if you want to step out of the SWY, LME, and other typical woods. Generally, the Hero line is very interesting. Each flanker offers something different, with the EdP being the most balanced of all. For me, the best is the Parfum Intense, but it’s much less usable than the Parfum.
Intense wood scent; if you over-spray, it knocks you out. As others say, it has coconut touches (and pineapple for me). It reminds me of Le Beau by JPG but with a rougher woodiness and a hint of Boss Bottled. I don’t dislike it, but I probably wouldn’t buy it.
Tested with two sprays on skin. It’s a very rich fragrance. I loved the EDP, and this Parfum is the same fragrance but less sweet and drier. The dry, intense woods are very noticeable, along with a sweet base that doesn’t cloy. Between the EDP and the Parfum, I wouldn’t say which is better. The EDP is sweeter and this one is drier, but both are very good.
Amazing scent, perfect for going out at night and formal occasions.
Tested with two sprays on skin, it’s very rich. I loved the EDP, and this Parfum is the same but less sweet and drier. You can notice the dry, intense woods and a sweet base that isn’t cloying. Between the two, I can’t decide: the EDP is sweeter, while this is drier, but both are top-tier.
Very formal. Smells vintage or old-school, elegant. Lots of leather and suede, like Boss Bottled Absolu or Carlisle. You can detect the powdery cypriol along with walnut, chestnut, and oak—plenty of wood but no cedar. It has a smoky touch and a faint sweet vanilla undertone. It doesn’t smell like the EDP; this is more elegant and lasts longer.
Incredible perfume. The opening is very masculine, then it turns creamy and fresh, making it quite versatile. On my skin, it lasts 6-7 hours, but on cotton clothes, it goes over 12.
It’s an incredible perfume; its opening note is very masculine and then transforms into a creamy and fresh fragrance, quite versatile. On my skin, it lasts 6-7 hours and on cotton clothes more than 12 hours.
This perfume doesn’t match the olfactory pyramid listed here. It’s not boring or distant wood; it has personality. It smells like fresh wood, slightly citrusy, and sweetened with resins. It’s warm, elegant, and very masculine, but watch out: it’s not the typical old man vibe; this is pure testosterone. It smells like maturity and strength, yet it embraces you with that warm, semi-sweet touch. It suits someone with a good presence, around 25 years old.
This is a super formal scent; I don’t wear it indoors because it’s too intense for that. It’s not cloying, but the cedar really stands out; to me, it smells like vanilla or coconut, even if they don’t list it. Don’t even think about wearing it in summer. It’s one of my favorites in the whole collection—I have a soft spot for it and it’s gotten me tons of compliments. EDIT: Note, let it macerate for 4 weeks in a dark, cool place to bring out those sweet vanilla notes.
It’s a very formal perfume; I wouldn’t advise wearing it in enclosed spaces; it’s not cloying, but it’s too intense for those types of places. Cedar is, in my opinion, the most characteristic note; for me, it has some vanilla or coconut opening notes even though they aren’t specified. I wouldn’t wear it in summer. In my opinion, it’s one of my favorites from my entire collection; I have great affection for it and it’s certainly one of the ones that has given me the most compliments. EDIT: I highly recommend letting it macerate in a dark, cool place for a minimum of 4 weeks to perceive those sweet vanilla notes.
If you’ve tried Gentleman Intense, this one sounds like a cousin: same family but without that powdery iris or dry herbal vibe. Dry wood takes the lead here—very masculine with a rooty touch. It’s nocturnal, elegant, and potent, with a commercial sweetness that makes it enjoyable. The evolution is minimal, but that works in its favor since the accord is exquisite. It’s not best mode; it lasts about 7-8 hours and projects well at the start. If you like hard woods, you’ll love it. And hey, I love the magnetic cap, lol.
