  • Pleasant but undeniably generic and not innovative at all. It smells like many other fragrances, in my humble opinion. It’s harmless and has a low sillage.

  • This fragrance is heavily criticized for several reasons: it lacks a strong sillage, being almost intimate; its cedar heart makes it similar to others, though it’s harmless. The quality is excellent, resulting in a wonderfully pleasant woody combination. It fits right into that cloud of aquatic fragrances that new niche brands often get a stomachache from. It’s very soft and contradicts its name; this ‘Hero’ has nothing of a rough man about it. Personally, I think it’s good, simple, and the antithesis of a BoyToy. You should enjoy it energetically, use it without fear—6 sprays are perfect and won’t scare anyone. The cedar is a delight, slightly sweet and refreshing. It’s an EDT that behaves like a cologne, so the price is steep, probably the reason for so many insults. It’s annoying that people criticize simple fragments just by following YouTubers like penguins.

  • It’s a fragrance that many criticize, and they’re right on two points: it doesn’t have a strong sillage, it’s almost intimate, and the cedar heart makes it sound similar to others. But watch out, the quality is top-notch and that woody blend is a delight. It fits perfectly into that cloud of aquatic fragrances that new niche brands often get a stomachache from. It’s super soft and contradicts its name; it doesn’t smell like a ‘rough hero’ at all. I see it as great, simple, and the antithesis of things like BoyToy. Use it with energy, without fear—6 sprays and you’re good, it won’t scare anyone. The cedar is slightly sweet and refreshing. It’s an EDT that acts like a cologne, so the price is high, which explains the insults, but trashing something so simple is annoying, like following the penguin flocks.

  • Burberry Hero smells like wood and spices with a fresh juniper opening; the citrus notes are barely noticeable, but there are definitely spices. Then comes the cedar base, which Fragrantica says consists of several types, though it’s not as woody as I expected. It resembles Terre, but Hermes’ wood notes are better crafted. Hero is more aromatic and cool, reminiscent of K EDP but without the sweetness of Dolce & Gabbana. I liked it, though not enough to buy a bottle yet; it’s pleasant and masculine. It works for casual or formal occasions, perfect for the office because it’s not intrusive. It lasted about 9 hours with regular to low projection. The bottle is beautiful, heavy, elegant, and has a magnetic cap; it looks good without extra adornments.

  • Burberry Hero is a woody and spicy fragrance. It has a fresh opening based on juniper berries; the citrus notes are barely perceptible, but you can detect some spices. Soon after, a woody base of cedar emerges, which Fragrantica lists as having up to three different types of cedar, though it’s not as woody as I imagined. It has a certain resemblance to Terre, but the woody notes are better crafted in the Hermes fragrance, whereas Hero is more aromatic and cool. In fact, it also reminds me quite a bit of K EDP, but without the sweet note found in the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance. Still, I liked it, though not enough to run out and buy a bottle immediately. It’s pleasant and masculine. Hero could be used in both casual and formal situations; in fact, it’s a great option for the office since it’s not invasive. Its longevity was about 9 hours, with regular to low projection. The bottle is beautiful, heavy, and elegant, and the magnetic cap looks nice to me without any adornments.

For me a perfume isn’t good based on how long it lasts or how far it projects; for that I’d use turpentine and my neighbor would know. A perfume is good if its craftsmanship and quality are up to it and here they are. It smells citrusy and green a classic barbershop aroma ideal after a shower for the office in spring-summer or to feel clean. The best part: you can get it for a laugh. It’s not turpentine but a delicious scent to prolong that post-shower feeling of cleanliness.

  • Hello I’m sharing my thoughts on this perfume which might not matter to those who don’t know it. With all due respect I hope I’m not offending but this reminded me of a cheap low-quality generic and poor perfume. The only redeeming quality is the opening; many catalog perfumes beat this one. I was disappointed by its terrible performance lasting no more than two hours. It’s worth trying before buying; fortunately I could try it and have decided against purchasing it. Cheers.

Got it as a gift and it’s perfect for the office: pleasant, not overpowering, and everyone likes it. The good thing is it smells like clean, harmonious wood, like freshly sawn cedar, which is ideal for people who don’t dive deep into perfumes. The downside is it doesn’t last long, maybe two hours, and you barely notice it from a meter away. If you want to wear it all day, you’ll need to reapply. It’s very linear, just cedar with a hint of sweetness, so if you reapply, no one will notice the change. Generic but enjoyable; from Burberry, I only remember London for Man. The house should make more original and bold scents. Cheers.

  • I’ve been on Fragrantica for years learning about this fascinating world. This is my first review and I’m not here to talk about the scent itself. I’m fed up with people like @SoundTotal. There’s always just one of them; you never need three. What’s the point of spewing hate and insults? If you don’t like something express your opinion with respect not rudeness. Are you afraid that 10 buyers trust Mr. Croxatto (in something you probably haven’t even touched)? Are you afraid of how rich he’s gotten selling a perfume he claims is perfect? That’s just a tantrum. Let’s be objective and wise. Your way of speaking says more about you than about the perfume. P.S.: I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard a lot about it. I’ll try it to form an objective opinion.

  • Just like the ANDRÉS CROXATTO scam at €110 in pre-sale and €140 now on his website when BURBERRY HERO Eau de Toilette (100ml) costs only €63 on Amazon. The scent is identical and both launched in 2021. Without a doubt this BURBERRY option is much better: it smells the same costs half as much and CROXATTO’s cap is ridiculous and mediocre fitting his campaign that played on the trust of 10 customers he refused to refund.

  • Charming opening heavily woody with a serious old-school vibe. The downside is it blends in with everyone else: it doesn’t last at all. If it had better longevity I’d buy it without hesitation but alas… we live in an era where perfumes feel like scams.

  • A woody, dry fragrance with a bright citrus sparkle of fresh grapefruit peel and a relaxing breeze of Virginia juniper. But the protagonist is black pepper, which takes over the composition. It’s dry, approachable, and serious—young yet formal, with cedar and more cedar. In short: a beautiful citrus opening, a heart of herbs and spices, and a deep woody dry-down. Ideal for work or formal situations, it generates authority and cleanliness. That’s why its projection is just right.

  • My brother bought it blind, and I wasn’t expecting anything fascinating. However, the sprays impressed me; my skin usually doesn’t agree with spicy scents, but this one I liked. It’s formal, perhaps for someone around 40 with an elegant, neat style. Longevity wasn’t bad, around 7 hours with medium-low sillage. Subjectively, I’m willing to buy it, even if the price isn’t cheap.

  • Simple, sober, masculine, and versatile. At first, it smells spicy with the roughness of bergamot, nothing shocking. In seconds, it becomes creamy. The juniper adds a bitter touch that leads to the star note: cedar. I can’t distinguish the three cedars, but the result is well-balanced. On the nose, it’s soft, pleasant, and fresh wood, which dries down with a sweet and musky touch. It’s not strong or dark like Encre Noir; it’s soft, neat, and easy to wear, denoting seriousness. It could be a good entry into the woody world without risks. Medium longevity, medium/low sillage. Edit: After weeks in the office, I like it more. It remains simple, but dries down sweeter. It doesn’t last forever, but on skin it reaches 6 to 8 hours, and on clothes easily until the next day.

  • Simple, sober, masculine, and versatile. It starts spicy with that sharpness of bergamot, but it’s not aggressive. It blends well and within seconds turns creamy. The juniper adds a bitter touch that gives way to the star: cedar. I can’t distinguish the three types of cedar it mentions, but the result is well-balanced. It smells like soft, fresh wood, drying down with a sweet, musky nuance. It’s not strong or dark like Encre Noir; it’s HERO—soft, neat, and serious, perfect for dipping your toes into the woody world without risks. LONGEVITY: Medium. Sillage: Medium/Low. Edit: After wearing it at the office for weeks, I like it more than at first. It remains simple but sweeter as it dries. Although it doesn’t last forever, it performs well: about 6 to 8 hours on skin and even until the next day on clothes.

  • Good perfume, average projection, and lasts about 4 hours on me. I bought it for $120 with the kit, and now I have to say that at that price, it’s a total rip-off.

  • Pepper and cedar… just a fleeting citrus note at the start that fades quickly. It’s simple, understated, and linear—no flashiness, which makes it perfect for any occasion. I think that’s its charm. Performance is moderate but acceptable, fitting this style perfectly. The best part: it has no rival. The downside: the pepper can be quite spicy depending on your skin, so test it first.

  • Quite pleasant scent, which you’ll surely love and the masses too. I don’t see anyone complaining about this perfume’s aroma. My girlfriend likes it a lot, as it’s a pleasant and masculine scent. However, it has very poor performance. It smells similar to Nautica Voyage Heritage, but of course, HERO is superior in quality, ingredients, and aroma. It’s a linear and uninteresting perfume. My recommendation: Skip this and buy something different instead.

  • Fantastic aroma, though with low performance. As a lover of the cedar note, I love this EDT. It has a bright, fresh, and slightly spicy opening where the woodiness gains prominence as it dries. It doesn’t deceive; the notes are clear and you perceive what you expect. I also have the EDP version, which improves in longevity and performance but loses, as expected, the more vibrant part. When dried on skin, the scents converge (but on blotting paper, the differences remain perceptible). For this spring, I’m giving this EDT a try and have set aside the EDP for autumn or night. My great regret is that it doesn’t accompany me through my workday, but I knew that when I bought it thanks to a tester. That’s why I bought the 150ml to not hesitate in reapplying. To those who criticize saying they’ve already smelled it, I’d be delighted to know which perfumes remind them of it to add to my repertoire. In my humble collection, I don’t have anything similar. It vaguely reminds me of Solo by Loewe Cedar, but the latter is much spicier, and the Issey Miyake one not beyond the woody touch. Its aroma doesn’t break the market, certainly, but it offers more than many gourmands.

  • Fantastic aroma, low performance. As a lover of cedar, I love this EDT. The opening is bright, fresh, and slightly spicy, where the woody notes gain strength as it dries. It doesn’t deceive; the notes are clear and you perceive what you expect. I have the EDP which improves longevity but loses the vibrant part. As it dries on skin, the aromas converge, though on paper the differences are noticeable. This spring I’ll use the EDT and save the EDP for autumn or night. My regret is that it doesn’t last the whole day, but I already knew that from the tester, so I bought the 150ml to reapply without hesitation. To those who say they’ve already heard it, I’d love to know what it resembles so I can add it to my list. I don’t have anything similar in my collection. It vaguely reminds me of Loewe Solo Cedar, but this one is spicier, and to Issey Miyake only in the woody touch. It doesn’t break the market, certainly, but it offers more than many gourmands.

  • I bought it blindly and can say I didn’t like it entirely. The opening smelled earthy to me at first, then my partner said it smelled like cosmetics, more like lipstick. Once dried down, the cedar is very prominent (which I loved), but I expected more from the perfume to be honest. I see it more as a daily office scent.

  • Gentil vagabond

Terrible longevity; the scent lasted me 30 minutes. It’s an innovative fragrance and an assault on your wallet, please refrain from buying it.

  • Olisqueando

At first, you notice that Dolce&Gabbana EDT ‘K’ aroma but much lighter. It becomes woody and elegant. It’s an interesting and masculine perfume. But it’s very weak; on my skin, I stop noticing it after two or three hours. It improves significantly on clothes.

  • A fragrance that deserves recognition. While many criticize it for its longevity, one must consider that it’s a fresh EDT and by nature softer than sweet or heavy scents. The aroma is spectacular; it’s simple and not overly complex, which makes it very pleasant for most. It doesn’t seek to draw too much attention but conquers with ease. I got it on sale at a very accessible price (similar to a Lacoste Blanc EDT). In that range, I definitely recommend it. At its regular price, it seems expensive, so I only consider it a good buy if you find a discount.

  • It deserves recognition. Although it’s criticized for its longevity, it’s a fresh EDT and by nature is softer than sweet or heavy scents. The scent is spectacular. • Great perfume; if it lasted a bit longer, it would be a real 10/10. Ideal for daily summer use; you’ll smell clean and it’ll change your mood. Scent: 8/10, not very conventional and a matter of taste. Longevity: 4/10, considering the price here in Argentina, it leaves much to be desired. Final score: 7/10; beyond its weak performance, it’s a perfume that doesn’t fail.

  • Soft, pleasant, and masculine fragrance. Bergamot stands out at the start, quickly blending with juniper and pepper, leaving the woody note as hours pass. An ‘office perfume’ profile, slightly more woody and different but without surprises. I wouldn’t recommend it for young people; it has a more mature vibe.

  • One of the least valued lines from Burberry’s ‘Hero’ collection. This is the first one, and the EDT boasts brilliant projection and longevity. Woody and clean scent; in my opinion, it’s versatile, though it might fall short in extreme cold, making the moderate seasons where it shines brightest. 8/10.

  • Lucianolococo

Lasts only 3 to 4 hours with weak trail and projection. Smells good, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
