Miss Dior Essence by Dior is a chypre floral fragrance for women. This creation, launched in 2025, is signed by nose Francis Kurkdjian. Upon opening, blackberry (black raspberry) and black elderberry take a fresh, fruity first step. The heart reveals the delicacy of sambac jasmine and jasmine, while the base settles on woody notes and oak, closing the composition with elegance.

  • I tried it this afternoon at a store in France and I was surprised… I thought it would be more floral, but for me it’s more woody (which I prefer) with a wild blackberry that’s noticeable from the opening all the way to the dry-down. Without a doubt, it’s a very beautiful and very different perfume from the previous Miss Diors; I’m definitely keeping it in my collection 🥰

  • I love the bottle with the black ribbon and the “peacock feather” texture all over the glass. The previous Parfum seemed very good to me; personally, I think that, aside from Sauvage Elixir, Francis Kurkdjian is doing quite a good job, although I must admit he still has a long way to go to truly understand the Dior house (everyone who attacked Demachy, an excellent perfumer with work for several brands, surely misses him now). Kurkdjian has another vision that reflects more in the Privée line, unfortunately not within reach of everyone; I think the current owners of the house are more to blame for the commercial launches. Still, J’adore L’Or and Miss Dior Parfum are good perfumes (even if not everyone likes them). I’m eagerly waiting to try and own this line because I love it. And for the purists, I don’t want to contradict myself, but although the first Miss Dior is a jewel, with reformulations and current tastes, it’s perfectly known that it has a more limited audience. In the end, brands need profitability; that’s precisely why the riskiest and most innovative launches are in the Privée line; the general public wants easy-to-wear and universally liked things, and yet many brands dare to take risks with compositions leaning towards niche. The “similar to” section, as always, is a reflection of toxic public behavior and bad acting, thinking that posting a bad review here can damage a brand like Dior. This is an informational page, and what they do is confuse those seeking information. I always give my honest opinion; tastes vary, not everyone can like the same thing, and even loving a brand, you acknowledge its flaws, but there’s no need to provide biased information out of stupidity and hate.

  • What a gorgeous fusion, with black raspberry jam as the protagonist. It brings back memories of the 2024 flanker, but with more depth and fire thanks to that woody base note that gives it class. It smells of quality, modernity, and joy. It’s super sweet and fruity, yet vibrant, as charming as a Señorita Dior should be. I’m obsessed with this launch; Kurkdjian is making history in the Miss Dior line, adapting it to the current era and forgetting about rose as the main note, because it was time to give it a twist and mix it with the magic of niche perfumery. The bottle is a marvel of elegance. It lasts more than 9 hours on skin and projects more than any MD since 2005; it doesn’t smell like a mass-produced product, it has density and substance, something that’s appreciated given the price. It’s a true blackberry, flower, and fine wood elixir. I love it! Total hit. Thanks, buddy! (if you read this, you get it) haha 🥰

  • A gorgeous fusion with black raspberry jam as the star note. This fragrance brings the previous flanker (2024) to mind, but with more depth and fire thanks to the crucial and spot-on woody base note. An aroma that screams quality, modernity, and joy. Very sweet, fruity, and floral, yet vibrant—charming and captivating just like a “Miss Dior” should be. I’m thrilled with this launch and believe master Kurkdjian is making history with the Miss Dior line, adapting the concepts to modern times and abolishing the idea of rose as the head note, because it was time to give this essence a twist and design it for our current era, coding it with the unique magic of niche perfumery. The bottle is a marvel exuding elegance and distinction. It lasts a ton, over 9 hours on skin, and projects more than any MD launched since 2005; it doesn’t smell like just another product, there’s substance and density, which is appreciated considering the high price we pay. It’s a true blackberry, flower, and fine wood elixir. I love it! Total hit! Thanks, buddy! (if you read this, you get it) haha 🥰

August 18, 2025. I saw it this morning at Primor in Vallsur. What does it smell like? Take Coco Mademoiselle, remove the citrus, and add blueberry jam. It’s very sweet. If you like Coco or La Vie Est Belle, this will probably suit you. Watch out, it doesn’t resemble either of those! I love the dry-down; it’s totally jammy.

  • I’ve tried it several times and it doesn’t seem like a good perfume. It has a nuclear trail, but the blackberry feels harvested too early and turned into jam. It smells like blackberry so sour and sweet that I absolutely don’t enjoy it.

  • I tried it last week, and the opening is way too fruity for my taste—it feels very generic and has nothing to do with the original Miss Dior. I wonder why they keep releasing perfumes with the same name that don’t even have a hint of the previous ones. Obviously, they don’t have to be similar, but they could be a totally independent line; I guess it’s just a marketing and money-making thing. Unfortunately, it seems that’s all brands care about nowadays; they aren’t making even a minimal effort to sell us quality. Another issue is the price… €200 for 80 ml? Excuse me, Mr. Kurkdjian, but with that kind of money, I could buy a niche masterpiece where you can tell there’s a bit more work and creativity behind it. Absolutely Blooming beats this new Miss Dior aberration hands down; the only thing I’d save from this one is the dry-down, which I actually liked. It’s a shame what they’re doing with designer perfumery lately, not just Dior but everyone. We’re not all that stupid to be dragged along by marketing; some maybe are, but not all of us.

  • I had high hopes that I’d like it. At first, the jam note smells very much like raspberry with a floral base, which I find pleasant. But in the dry-down… it smells powdery and reminds me of the typical perfume for an older lady, so it’s not for me. Still, it’s a nice perfume for someone older, feminine and powdery.

  • Aromadiccioness2

Starts with lots of mossy woods, with an almost imperceptible hint of mint or peppermint, a touch of honey, and intermingled jasmine. Suddenly, it smells like wet earth; it makes me think of planting a mint plant and breaking off a sprig. Much later, around 2 to 3 hours in, I catch that sweet, sugary fruity part, but it’s almost when the scent is fading. Don’t think it’s gourmand… it’s woody with a very late fruit blend. Not at all gourmand. It’s the woody base of BRE with other things added. Very elegant and leaning unisex. Perfect for cool nights. Smells cheap; I would have loved more projection and longevity.

  • I thought it was gorgeous. That red berry jelly opening is spot-on, almost like the jasmine is blended right into the jam. The dry-down of woods is one of the best I’ve tried: a noticeable, bold wood that’s sweet and super feminine. No violets, which makes it impossible to compare to LVEB L’Elixir (extremely sharp and poorly executed on my nose and skin). I’m not ruling it out once the hype fades and the price comes down to market levels. Thanks for reading.

  • I hate the opening, but the drydown and all-day sillage are luxurious. This is the boldest Miss Dior yet. It reminds me of the sweetness of Explosive Powder, and the jasmine blend creates a captivating drydown. Definitely going on my wishlist.

  • Context: I own over 300 perfumes, and my absolute favorite is the Miss Dior 2012. If I had to keep just one forever, it would be that, so I’m critical of later editions; none come close. That said, I really liked the Essence opening: it’s like a well-balanced red berry jam, not overly sweet. The drydown is another story… on my skin, it’s just average. Boring jasmine DNA with woods and a touch of sweetness. First impression after trying it once. The price is excessive. I’m not crazy enough to pay 300k pesos for this; with that money, you can buy a niche perfume that surpasses it in quality and originality. What a pity; the bottle is gorgeous, and I was hoping this would be the Miss Dior that re-loved me.

  • afortunada2000@gmail.com

There are so many opinions. I’m not a fan of the current Miss Diors; they seem calm, boring, and too sweet (the 2012-2014 versions were great). During a purchase, I got the Essence tester, and the opening was awful—it’s identical to Armani Code 2006, which I hate; it feels childish. I used it to perfume my little daughter’s hair, and when she came back, BOOM! It was like a bomb. It had a 24-hour smoky wood trail that I fell in love with. It has a niche-like evolution done right; the perfumer is a master.

  • Got this as a birthday gift and I absolutely love it: smells like blackberry jam with a mossy touch and a very soft woody base. The drydown is exquisite; on my skin, it turns into blackberry jam with jasmine. Perfect for cool days, great sillage, and long-lasting.

  • I don’t smell any berry jam or jelly; I detect a lot of honeysuckle, and the opening is a total miss. It’s not the sweet scent everyone claims; it’s floral and somewhat woody. I was disappointed; I expected to smell blackberry to give it that sweet touch. I’ll try it again, but the first impression isn’t sweet.

  • My experience with Dior is poor longevity, which makes me wonder why I bought this instead of a niche fragrance. At the opening, it reminded me a bit of Vie Est Belle Elixir. Wow, I’ll always prefer Lancôme since their longevity is eternal.

  • At first, the opening didn’t win me over, but I kept testing and ended up leaving the store. Suddenly, a sweet and citrusy scent hit me, I smelled it, and it was Dior Essence. I spent the whole afternoon sniffing my wrist where I had sprayed it; I felt bad washing it off because it was so pleasant. I could really smell the jam.

  • The perfect description would be ‘immaculate, delicate, and sweet’. It smells sweet and floral (the jasmine embraces the fruity opening phenomenally). The blackberry shines in an exquisite, delicate way. While writing this, I can’t stop sniffing the tester strip; although ‘sweet’ perfumes don’t usually drive me crazy, this surprised me. It smells like a very clean, impeccable sweet fruitiness. It’s not cloying; it’s like hugging the neatest, shiniest girl with a scent of blackberry jam and divine jasmine. There’s a minimal acidic touch that makes the sweet, jasminey aroma steal my attention even more. That sweet explosion with jasmine reminds me a lot of Britney Spears’ Curious, God what a great perfume!, FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING I REMEMBER THIS FROM! I’m crazy, two sprays on the strip saved in my pocket and I STILL SMELL IT, damn, so rich, I feel that sweet blackberry and jasmine note in my nostrils, this doesn’t look like it’s going to end. If you’re looking for something super sweet and cloying, this won’t deliver; it enchants but I don’t think it will drive everyone crazy. It’s a resounding yes if you want to smell sweet and feel tender.

  • I wasn’t a fan of its performance. The opening was quite overwhelming. Once it dried down, I could smell the raspberry, but then it turned very powdery on my skin. I didn’t like it.

  • I’m not sure what happened, but I’ve tested it twice and it turned out unpleasant. It smells like herbs to me, nothing delicate; I don’t even sense the jam, it’s more like berries soaked in wet herbs 😟 What a pity, I had high expectations.

  • Ufff, I loved it. It’s blackberry jam made into perfume; it smells sweet and super pretty. The longevity is a beast; after a long day when I shower… I still have the scent on my skin… I love it 🩷🎀

  • DaviniaTolkien

Well, I fell for it, and it’s my last acquisition of 2025. If you have Teflon skin and no perfume lasts on you, believe me, this is a bomb. It lasts a long time; I got so excited that I bought the largest version, a grave mistake—I should have bought the smaller one, as very little is more than enough. It’s a sweet, elegant, powerful scent.

  • Mile Rose Peony

So rich, smells like rose even though it’s not listed in the notes. The blend of jasmine, elderflower, and blackberry is pure magic. It’s now one of my favorites. I hope they don’t change it or take it off the market.

  • A lovely, cozy feminine scent: red berries with vanilla. When it dries down, I get a strong vanilla note from the woods and raspberry, while the jasmine provides just the right amount of freshness. It has good evolution, though it doesn’t project much; it’s more for personal enjoyment. I don’t see it as similar to Vie Est Belle Elixir or other Miss Dior scents. It’s original, sweet without being annoying, and very feminine. I’d wear it all year round and in any occasion. If you wear it at night, it’s very sensual. It would shine even more in cooler climates; today with 35 degrees, I’m enjoying it a lot. I think it suits all ages. I perceive it as feminine, though perfumes don’t have a gender, it could be unisex depending on taste.

  • DaviniaTolkien

Well, I gave in, and it’s my last purchase of 2025… If you have Teflon skin and no perfume lasts on you, believe me, this is a bomb. It lasts FOREVER; I got so excited I bought the largest version, a grave mistake—I should have grabbed the small one because a little goes a long way. It’s a sweet, elegant, and incredibly potent fragrance.

  • This year has been tough for perfumery; so many scents just don’t sit right with me. I wasn’t planning to try anything in the store; I was just there to pick up Sauvage for my husband, but the sales associate kept pushing. I refused, but later at home I saw the Miss Dior Essence samples in my bag. I tested it with my family and fell in love at the first spray. The fruity side isn’t cloying; it’s fresh and realistic, while the woods add elegance and mystery. I went back three days later, and the girl gave me a knowing smile: ‘I knew you’d like this.’ She didn’t fail. I wear it every day, people compliment me constantly, and most importantly, I genuinely enjoy it. It’s the first fragrance this year that has truly captivated me.

  • This is the second time I’m testing it on skin, and its longevity is insane. Two sprays on my arm at 4 PM, and it’s 1 AM now. After showering, I still have the woodiness deeply embedded (considering I put on a body splash and another perfume afterward, which is barely noticeable on the other arm in comparison). For several hours, I felt the sweet, sparkling purple fruits (my favorite accord). The floral notes accompany but don’t overpower, and finally, the base wood gives the fragrance its power. I understand those who say it reminds them of the classic CK Euphoria in the dry-down. I want it; will the price drop?

  • Beautiful. Reminds me of Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming but feels younger and perfect for spring/summer. I detect the blackberry and a fresh opening that smells like black elderflower. As it dries down, it becomes slightly powdery but not old; the base woods give it power and a youthful vibe. I loved it so much; the longevity is insane: it lasts all day on skin and weeks on clothes. Definitely not a blind buy under any circumstances.

  • I’m a man. A colleague at work lent it to me, and I tested it on my forearm. At first, I didn’t like it; it has a strong opening on the nose. It has a pleasant, feminine fruity side, but I don’t like the jasmine note (I’m not a fan of white florals); it reminds me of my grandmother’s perfume. The bottle is very chic, beautiful, small, with a bow/tie. I see it’s listed among the top 10 women’s perfumes of 2025. Anyway, I’m not very knowledgeable about women’s perfumes; my thing is men’s and unisex scents.

  • Mile Rose Peony

It’s delicious; I can smell a hint of rose, even though it’s not listed in the notes. The union of jasmine, hawthorn, and blackberries creates magic. It’s among my favorites right now. I hope they don’t reformulate or discontinue it.

  • I think we’re looking at the best Miss Dior since Absolutely Blooming. In fact, the day I went to get it, I tried the 2024 ‘Parfum,’ and this one completely outshines it in personality. It’s a sweet scent with some undeclared notes, like a smoky touch, which is why it slightly reminded me of Flowerbomb Néctar (which has gunpowder), but this Essence is much more elegant; it smells classy. It’s sweet due to the jam note, which used to be listed as such but isn’t anymore—I don’t know why. What you smell isn’t blackberry; it’s that jam, very sweet, very concentrated, and top quality, the kind that costs a fortune and comes with a handmade label. All of that accompanied by the flowers and the smoky touch I detect. A marvel… the longevity is amazing, and the trail is incredible for the first three hours, then it fades slowly but stays with you all day. Highly recommended, though expensive, like all Dior scents, especially new releases. I suppose I behaved well this year, which is why the Kings brought it to me.

  • I’ve never liked Miss Dior or its variations, but after one purchase, I got a tester of this and fell in love at first sniff. To me, it smells floral and fruity; the raspberry really stands out alongside the jasmine and woody notes, creating a very pleasant blend. I’m even thinking about buying it someday. It’s a charming perfume. The longevity is about six hours, and the projection is high for the first two hours.

  • What a great perfume! Exquisite, wonderful, with body, trail, and high-quality longevity, finally perfumes that are worth the quality are back. Its scent is a rich and sweet black raspberry jam, pure jasmine, white and red flowers, and oak, incredibly spectacular.

  • I liked it, I expected more, I liked it again, expecting more, and so on the whole time. In the dry down I feel very rich red fruits, but it’s not worth the price, they tell me it’s not but sometimes it reminds me of the sensation of Insolence EDT. I don’t feel it similar to LVB Intense, but it would be redundant to have both, I like LVB Intense more.

  • Well, quite a story with this perfume. I bought Hypnotic Poison blindly, luckily I smelled it before opening it and decided to switch, influenced by the salesperson at Juleriaque (who have less charm). I tried all the Miss Diors and this was the one that sat best on my skin. I bought it on the spot without knowing how it would behave. As soon as you spray it, you smell fermented fruit, red wine, but it must be the intensity of the juice since they say it’s concentrated essence (or maybe that’s what the salesperson told me to sell it to me). After a minute or two, all the red fruit scent is released. It’s sharp, not ugly, it’s pretty, but it has nothing to do with that transparent, naive bottle I longed for; I see it more in a red, burgundy, or even black bottle. It’s a ripe fruit and when you smell it deeply, you feel a clean, neat touch. I feel it’s modern, pretentious, that is, it tries to appeal to the masses without losing that Dior sophistication. For my personal taste, maybe if I hadn’t bought it in a hurry I wouldn’t have chosen it (I have in mind to buy Mon Guerlain or Mon Paris so you can see my tastes), however, I like it, so I’m going to use it even if I feel like having a glass of wine, maybe by the end of the night I’ll end up uncorking a red thinking it was my perfume.

  • Perfumadict

The opening is brutal, it left me breathless with those woody notes. Then it settles and lasts until the end like a red fruit jam, both acidic and sweet at the same time (sometimes it reminded me of raspberry jelly, but it never smells cheap or vulgar, it just brings me memories). I don’t think it’s worth paying what it costs. That said, you have to rub it into your skin to get it out, because it sticks to your skin a lot.

MY LOVE, PERSONALLY I’M NOT A HUGE FAN OF THE MISS DIOR LINE, EITHER BECAUSE I HAVE A COMPLEX ABOUT BEING UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT, BUT WHEN I WENT TO THE MALL AND THEY GAVE ME A SAMPLE, IT WAS DELICIOUS. A SWEET BLACKBERRY OPENING WITH A LOT OF SAPPY JASMINE, DELICIOUS, WITH A WOODY BUT POTENT BASE. I DIDN’T THINK I’D LIKE IT SINCE I NORMALLY DON’T LIKE THAT TYPE OF SCENT LIKE MISS DIOR BLOOMING BOUQUET (WHICH WAS THE ONLY ONE I’D SMELLED UNTIL THAT DAY) AND I LOVED IT. THE TRAIL IS A BIT LONG, LIKE 120 CM, DURATION APPROX 7 AND A HALF HOURS AND SO MANY COMPLIMENTS.
