  • Mofeta Perfumada

What a disappointment. Smells like cheap vanilla with a menthol kick that, while not bad, sounds like a cocktail of clones: Invictus, Eros, or Le Male flankers. The bottle and name are the only things reminding me of the previous Luna Rossa Ocean EDT, which at least had that soapy, iris-y touch that gave it personality. For Prada to pull treasures like Infusion d’Homme or Luna Rossa Black and release this—a flanker of a flanker—says a lot about their future. With L’Oréal stepping in and Daniela Andrier leaving, this was predictable. No surprises.

  • Sofisticado

Tested with low expectations but accurate intuition. It’s a rehash of ideas forming a ‘schizophrenic’ perfume that’s hard to define. The opening might remind you of the original Ocean but develops into something plastic and creamy that told me little or nothing. Hard to define this launch. Without a doubt, I stick with the original Ocean and that striking mix of freshness, elegance, and sweetness. It’s rare for a Prada fragrance to leave me indifferent since I usually love them more than hate them, but this time they missed the mark. The flanker of the flanker that ends up nowhere.

  • juancar677

Prada went from Puig to L’Oréal (from Herod to Pilate), and since then, perfumer Daniela Andrier is no longer there. There were talks of lawsuits, but the point is she’s gone, so they moved to delisting and reformulating as a basic principle, and releasing new launches like this, a flanker of the previous Ocean. But now with new perfumers; the works we know from Prada are the product of a nose that no longer works for Prada. That’s all.

  • svazquez7

I like the opening with the EDP, although as it dries down, the ambroxan becomes quite unpleasant and on my skin it smells like disinfectant mixed with sweetness.

  • svazquez7

With the EDP, I like the opening, though the drydown is generic and the ambroxan comes alive in a not-so-pleasant way; on my skin, it smells like disinfectant with a sweet touch.

  • First impression after testing it in a perfumery: at first it smells like a mix of disinfectant or insecticide with plastic vanilla like that of a doll, until it settles into the typical woodsy note found in thousands of fragrances. It might seem like a turn-off… but not! Surprisingly, I liked it more than the EDT version (which retains faintest reminiscences, especially that ‘disinfectant’ aftertaste). It conveys a certain class to me, I don’t know why. What I don’t understand is the price and why Prada would discontinue gems like Amber Pour Homme to make way for these new ones that, while not entirely bad, don’t even come close to the soles of those shoes.

  • Menthol-balsamic at first with a citrus touch; after 5 minutes it turns sweet, similar to Armani Stronger. In the end, it smells like talcum powder. Unfortunately, it leaves no impression and fades away in 30 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price; the trail is poor and nothing groundbreaking. Scent 6, longevity 3, projection 3.

  • Smells great; let it macerate for a while and now it performs quite well in terms of longevity.

  • Smells great. I let it macerate for a week and now it works quite well in terms of performance.

  • Very low performance. Nothing compared to the quality of current Prada fragrances versus the Puig ones.

  • Jesses Perfumss

They say it’s true: the longevity isn’t what I expected and doesn’t compare to recent Prada releases, but the scent is exquisite to me—exactly as the name suggests, like a night gazing at the ocean with a red or pink moon resting on its surface. It’s rich and gives compliments (up close), but the only disappointing part is the weak projection and longevity.

  • I tried it today with 2 sprays on my wrist and was quite disappointed with the longevity and projection (knowing the price). The smell, well, it’s a delight; citrus at the start and then a sweetness reminiscent of a good vanilla dessert. The big problem is that you can only smell it close to the skin. I wouldn’t buy it for the price and poor performance. If it had good performance, it would be a must-have and a blind buy success.

  • I liked it; it’s not the most innovative, but it’s pleasant to wear. Elegant and modest. On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours, I think it’s the one that lasted the longest from Prada. No trail, everything is skin-only. But as a personal fragrance, I like the scent and how modest it is. Saying it’s bad or not worth it doesn’t seem sensible, considering Prada is a modest house in terms of scent and trail.

  • Luna Rossa Ocean EDP is aromatic, woody, and amber. The opening is sweet and fresh with marine and amber accents. Minutes later, a herbal, bitter, and balsamic accord rises, I suppose incense, leaving a pleasant woody base. After 20 minutes, it settles and doesn’t change anymore. Unlike the EDT, the EDP is more amber, balsamic, and woody, less ‘blue’, though it remains versatile for fresh days, spring nights, autumn, and winter, casual outings, or daily wear. Longevity is very good, over 10 hours on my skin with a curious trail: after 10 minutes it seemed gone, but then its light trail appeared. It seems to disappear and reappear. Prada has changed the elegant, musky, soapy formula of the Oceans, making them more ‘common’, and it seems sales are doing well, though for me it has lost its uniqueness. The scent isn’t bad, so try it and decide.

  • VICTORAFJP

Still using it as my go-to fragrance, daily or weekly. I use it where it’s less common, so the opposite sex gives me many compliments. Using it with a fixative for everyday wear is recommended, especially in temperate or cold climates.

  • I like woody and amber scents, and this perfume doesn’t disappoint. It starts with very light citrus but with the amber already present. The evolution is immediate, turning completely woody/ambery, thank god, far from its predecessor EAU de Toilette which is unbearable. I adopted it because it’s woody and amber from the start (with its mandatory citrus) and the evolution doesn’t matter; the scent you like at the beginning doesn’t change. If you want to smell that, you smell that all the time. I know purists will get angry about the lack of evolution, but I like knowing what I’m wearing without surprises at the two-hour mark. A very advisable mainstream fragrance.

  • Miquel E

If you like woody and amber scents, this won’t let you down. It starts with very soft citrus, but the amber is there from the get-go. The evolution is minimal; it quickly becomes a totally woody and amber scent, far from the previous EDT which I found unbearable. I wear it because it smells the same at the start as it does at the end, with no surprises after two hours. I know purists will complain that it doesn’t evolve, but I like knowing what I’m wearing all day. It’s a highly recommended mainstream fragrance.

  • Boticario13

Whenever a Prada fragrance launched, I was always excited, knowing I wouldn’t be indifferent. But Prada has messed up this proposal: it’s not Ocean, not blue, and lacks that exclusive touch. Does it smell bad? No, it smells good, but you’ve already smelled it before with variations. I don’t understand the sweet vanilla base that dominates the dry down; the transition from grapefruit and incense is super fast, and it’s skin-only in 10 minutes. I don’t get it, and it doesn’t perform. ‘This isn’t the Prada I know, they changed it.’ Cheers! If you like my reviews, follow my TikTok channel: Chuliá Parfum Reviews @chulia.my13parfums.

I don’t understand how it can smell so different depending on who wears it. That’s the case with this perfume: beyond the subjective, opinions on its longevity are almost unanimous. First, the scent: it’s a delight. At first, I didn’t get it, then it fascinated me. It’s not a simple fragrance, but now I understand it and I love it. It opens sharp and citrusy before turning sweet and dark with sublime incense. Ideal for dates, dinners, or evening events where you want to look your best. I see it more for intermediate climates or cool summer nights. Performance: it projects moderately, but in longevity it’s a beast. I wore it last night and it still smelled in the morning. I swam in the pool, came out, played with the kids, and it was still there. Maybe the chlorine boosts the longevity or I got the ‘gold master’ batch, but it sticks like a leech. I recommend it 100% for scent, originality, and longevity. Rating 8/10.

  • Bonophone

Sometimes a fragrance changes depending on who wears it, and this perfume is no exception. Beyond the scent, everyone agrees on its longevity. Let’s talk about that after the smell: it’s a delight. I didn’t get it at first, then I was fascinated by it. It’s not simple, but now I do, and I love it. It opens sharp and citrusy before turning sweet and dark with sublime incense. Ideal for dates, dinners, or evening events with nice outfits. It works well in moderate climates or cool summer nights. Projects moderately but lasts like a beast: yesterday morning I still smelled it after bathing in the pool with the kids. Maybe the chlorine helps or I got the ‘gold master’ batch, but it sticks to me like a leech. I recommend it 100% for scent, originality, and performance. Rating 8/10.

  • It’s blue, vanilla-ish, and talc-y from the first spray; the citrus and iris don’t dominate, ambroxan is there all the time. It’s a different aquatic from the commercial crowd. It lasts about 6 hours with few sprays. I’ve loved it and have gotten lots of compliments. It’s great for intermediate climates, though I tested it in summer and it held up well despite the sweetness (with fewer sprays).

  • It’s blue, vanilla-musked from the start; the citrus and iris don’t dominate, but the ambroxan is there forever. It’s a different aquatic from the commercial ones. Lasts about 6 hours with few sprays. It’s earned me many compliments. It works well in moderate climates, though in summer with fewer sprays it can handle the heat. Overall, I like it quite a bit.

  • adiccionperfumesdv

I bought it cheap and at first I didn’t click with its citrus opening, but since it doesn’t last long, I absolutely love it once it dries down. It’s my signature scent alongside Chanel Bleu EDP; I wear it daily and colleagues keep asking what it is. It performs well, lasting 7-8 hours with a trail afterward, making it ideal for dates or bars. I’ve used it in the heat and it works fine, though its ideal climate is moderate (autumn-spring). The projection isn’t beastly, but it has captivated me; I recommend it.

  • For the office, it has a potent citrus opening that drops off in 30 minutes and turns almost icy vanilla. The incense sticks to the skin, and from a distance, it smells like sweet musk with a woody touch. It lasts about 8 hours with poor projection and 12 hours close to the skin. It’s like a rich vanilla popsicle in a bottle—great for any weather except extreme heat, because then it gets cloying.

  • My office perfume. It opens with potent citrus, but after 30 minutes the projection drops and it turns into a scent almost identical to vanilla ice cream. The incense is noticeable up close, and from a distance it smells like a pleasant talc-y sweetness with a subtle wood. In terms of longevity, it lasts about 8 hours with light projection and 12 hours on the skin. It’s a rich bottle of vanilla ice cream, good for all climates except extreme heat, because in those cases I find it cloying.

  • One of the most versatile fragrances I’ve tried in a long time. Spectacular scent, great sillage, and above all, its longevity stands out: 12 hours on skin and several days on clothes. A true gem in perfumery.

Every nose is different; interpretations vary, which is the beauty of it. This ‘Ocean’ has nothing to do with ocean; on my nose, it’s super creamy, vanilla-heavy with a man-made base, balsamic touches, and I sense an iris note, super powdery. Maybe it’s the Amber Extreme that makes it sweet-powdery here instead of salty-marine. Honestly, I’m indifferent; it ends up being vanilla-sweet without conveying anything new to me. I acknowledge it smells good and might appeal to the public, but with several fragrances in my collection, I lean towards other options.

  • perfumaniac

A formal fragrance with a strong presence, well masculine but not stuffy elegant. The quality of the notes is incredible. Although not declared, there’s a faint suede leather touch and an almond note from the amber and vanilla. It reminded me of the early flankers of L’Homme Ideal EDT by Guerlain, which they reformulated. I wear it in autumn/winter, especially at night in cool temperatures, or on a somewhat cloudy autumn day. Versatile age-wise, but my nose suggests +25. I recommend spraying a little on the upper arm to feel the potency whenever you want, because it’s dangerously addictive. You’ll want to smell it up close all the time.

  • JohnLecter86

This perfume should come with a warning: ‘Only use if you’re single.’ It’s a compliment bomb, very sweet and sexy. It has a vibrant citrus opening that lasts about 30 minutes, then the woody notes kick in, with a sweet and slightly smoky blend. The base notes, vanilla and amber, are simply exquisite. Worth the investment. I recommend wearing it semi-formal or at night with a blue shirt and black pants for a mysterious touch. Blind buy guaranteed.

I bought it for my sister’s wedding, looking for something not too sweet, masculine, and elegant. After trying several, I settled on this. The scent was exactly what I was looking for: masculine, not too sweet, with an elegant touch for a suit. I was worried about the performance at first because I didn’t notice much projection in the large wedding venue and feared it wouldn’t be noticeable. I’ve worn it sparingly for the past 5 months, but for the last month, I’ve used it on dates and it charmed my girlfriend. It became my signature scent; she gave me compliments from our first date, and several family members did too. Not just because of the scent, but because of the performance; it stayed on my partner’s clothes. To be fair, the price seems a bit steep; I think it could be more reasonable.

  • One word: VANILLA. It’s pure vanilla, smells like vanilla all the way through, like fresh ice cream. It smells good, but it’s not my type. If you like the smell of vanilla, you will definitely love this perfume.

  • Maxito ay non

I’ve wanted this fragrance for over a year, I bought it today, and I loved it. The only issue is that the spray doesn’t work well and sprays to the sides. Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • It earned the title of my favorite fragrance of the year. As read below, it’s pure vanilla and so what. There’s almost no ocean to it; it’s very sweet. Good longevity and sillage (for the first few hours) for a modern designer. Very versatile if you want to smell elegant without looking dated, perfect for going out at night. I highly recommend it.

  • In a world where reviews are often vague definitions just to make reading easier, after almost three years, I’m writing this honest opinion. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum is peculiar yet simple: grapefruit, incense, vanilla, woods, and extreme amber in perfect harmony. Sweet, but in just the right measure. It’s not versatile, but it definitely earns compliments (especially from girls, this is the one I liked the most). Excellent projection and longevity. The price is justified. If you’re looking for something similar to the EDT, forget it; there’s nothing ‘Ocean’ about it. Blind buy? Absolutely. It’s rare for someone with their sanity intact not to like it. 9/10.

  • In a world where reviews are just ambiguous definitions of famous perfumes to make them easy to read, after nearly three years, I’m writing this honest opinion. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDP is a peculiar and simple fragrance by its notes. Grapefruit, incense, vanilla, woods, and extreme amber create total harmony. Sweet in just the right measure. It’s not versatile. It deserves many compliments, especially from girls (I collect perfumes and it’s the one that’s pleased all the women I’ve been with). It has excellent projection, performance, and longevity. The price is justified. Note: if you’re looking for something similar to the Ocean EDT, forget this one. Of ‘Ocean’, I have as much as a bishop. Blind buy? Absolutely. It would be rare for someone in their right mind not to like it. Rating 9/10.

  • So delicious! It brings back memories of the 2000s. The performance is top-notch; I tested it and my brother even asked about it. I didn’t buy it because I already have a lot of fragrances, but on my next trip, I won’t pass it up. Perfect for office days in cold climates.
