I had it between 2007 and 2008, I loved it; it’s fresh but cleaner than Prada L’Homme. It has more elegance and is one of the best for the office, a simple but well-executed blend of powdery and floral notes. Could be unisex, but I prefer it on men. Lasts 5-6 hours, around 7 if you overapply. Soft/moderate trail. My favorite Prada so far; Intense looks interesting, I should try it.
Smells like floor cleaner, but projects nothing. A scam.
Prada Amber is undoubtedly a clean aroma, opening citrusy and fresh; as it dries, it smells like talc, powdery, like baby powder or one of those that comes in a box with a pom-pom. Smells like good-quality talc, but I don’t like walking around smelling like talc, so I had to get rid of it. You can tell it’s high quality and very versatile, nothing sexy, simply meant to smell good. Not for me.
Very good perfume, watch out: if its goal is just to smell good, here you get bar soap at 4 hours, and then on the skin, it leaves something that smells like saffron wrapped in a slight amber, the best part of all. Lasts 8 hours on my skin, projects nothing, it’s very personal, the perfect fragrance for Home Office.
A jewel!!! Lasts more than 9 hours and you can feel the change as it dries. You sense the opening, but with a quick movement, you catch that elegant citrus halo. A must-have that leads many clean-scent fragrances, distinguishing itself from Prada L’Homme and Prada L’Eau… Amber is kinder and more versatile for the office and cool or temperate climates, not for hot summers… Prada is now in L’Oréal’s hands, try to get Puig versions before the formula changes. Amber deserves a spot in your collection. 😎
A forgotten jewel from the past. If there’s a clean scent, this takes the crown. It’s in my top 5 of all time. That soapy touch and the longevity win me over. The opening is confusing, with amber, neroli, and strong citrus. After 10 minutes, as the alcohol evaporates, the spicy (cardamom and saffron) and resinous part emerges. All of that makes it very seductive, until it settles and the clean part with geranium and vetiver appears. Then comes the leather, cardamom, and labdanum, giving it a masculine touch, though it could work for women too. Woody finish, somewhat generic but maintains the identity. Lasts longer than normal (easily 10 hours) and projects moderately or strongly depending on sprays. Verdict: perfumes from the 2000s marked a revolution, and this is part of that golden era of designers, where they innovated until in 2008 everything became ‘too common,’ and with the release of Invictus in 2015, what remained was extinguished. Plus, the bottle is spectacular; you’d want to apply it just to see it. Prada Amber Pour Homme, fantastic ❤️
Smells like good body gel, a perfectly clean scent for everyday wear. Warm, better for cool days. Lasts and projects well; two or four sprays are enough, though I like it, I don’t want it to be too noticeable. It’s not for grabbing attention at a party; there are better ones for that. But it’s quality and won’t go out of style.
To the point: if you’re looking for the smell of fine soap mixed with talc, this is it. A total hit, I love it.
Prada Amber Pour Homme is pure class, ideal for personal use. Warm, with a soapy touch and a bit of talc. Refined and elegant scent. Moderate trail and longevity. 7/10
I’m back to this perfume and it never fails. Smells like quality soap and leaves an impeccable trail.
I bought a decant because of the ‘hype’ (for millennials ‘hype’) from YouTube videos about its possible discontinuation. The opening is a bit rushed, I notice it’s citrus-floral leaning synthetic but pleasant. As it dries down, a strong smell of hand cream or body lotion dominates, the kind my grandmother used; yes, pleasant but pure floral cosmetic, creamy and slightly musky. On my skin it lasted two hours making a statement, then it stayed very close to the skin. By the fourth hour, dead. Overall it’s a pleasant perfume, especially for spring and summer, ideal for the day after a shower. Perfume for personal enjoyment, office, and feeling good taking a morning walk. I wouldn’t have it in my collection, for me there are better options.
The opening smells like women’s cosmetics (that’s how I perceive it), after an hour it becomes soapy, creamy, pleasant… This isn’t to show off, it’s to feel good, clean, neat; if you add impeccable hygiene and care to that, you won’t bother anyone, quite the opposite.
It’s a PERFUMAZO, one of those if I had to choose 10 for life, this would slip in without effort. It was my signature for a couple of years and I’ve finished several bottles. When I discovered it I didn’t have much knowledge and today I still consider it a great purchase, especially in these times when everything smells the same. It’s used for everything and looks good, maybe in extreme heat it’s not the best, but I haven’t had a chance to try that. In my case, good projection and very good longevity. It’s not ‘seductive’, but it reflects neatness (in the PRADA style) and refinement. Ideal for offices. I’ve heard they want to discontinue it, a tragedy… An absolute 10/10.
I bought it blindly based on reviews and rumors of discontinuation… totally disappointed, especially paying more than it’s worth. I recognize its high quality and complexity, I understand why it’s a masterpiece, but simply it’s not for me. I don’t feel comfortable wearing it, it smells like a bathroom and I don’t like that oriental touch. I used it many times to convince myself but it didn’t work. I read that everyone likes it, but in my experience it wasn’t the case, I let about 8 people try it and they all said ‘it’s weird’. I don’t think it has the mass appeal they claim. Huge longevity, about eight hours. Very short projection, less than arm’s length. My advice: don’t rush to buy any perfume. Try it and if you like it, then buy it. Cheers.
Let me summarize: Mustela. It reminds me a lot of baby gel, on the other hand, I really like it.
I tried it again after years without seeing it. Seems they haven’t discontinued it, but it’s not what it used to be. I used it by the liter when it came out and have good memories, but it seems like, as always, it’s a shadow of what it once was.
I don’t own the perfume, but my father does (it was a gift). I’ve heard it many times and always ask him to let me try it. How would I define it? When it hits my nose, it creates a feeling, a mood that forms a clear mental image: a mature, classy man just out of the shower, who after drying off put on white flower creams and a foamy after-shave. I can’t define it any other way. It has something special. It’s a simple scent at first glance that hides tremendous complexity (I see it in its delicious evolution over hours). It’s perfect for intermediate seasons, its ideal moment is spring. Lasts about 6 hours on my skin with moderate projection or a personal bubble. What it does have is a trail; for the first 2 hours it releases rich bursts. In my opinion, it’s clean/floral for almost anything: work, dates, interviews, walks (not for parties or the gym). If you add a white shirt and are neat… 10/10. As for whether it’s very feminine or unisex… at first it smells like women’s creams, but as it evolves it leans masculine (evoking a man who takes great care of his image: beard, cosmetics…). In conclusion, I hate not having a bottle because this is a PERFUMAZO.
A masterpiece by Daniela Andrier that disproves the idea that clean and soapy scents are simple. One of the most beautiful aromas, even among niche perfumes, where neroli doesn’t smell like baby cologne, cardamomo doesn’t dress up to force elegance, and tonka bean doesn’t scare off those who dislike sweetness. Because here, every accord seeks a result: beauty without stereotypes, elegance in cleanliness. The art of perfume. Performance better than its siblings Prada L’Homme and total versatility for all seasons.
It sounds like Versace The Dreamer but unisex, like a baby cologne with an added acidic touch. It’s clean and floral.
Prada Amber Pour Homme is an elegant, warm fragrance that projects a very refined masculinity. Its blend of woods and spices with amber and leather creates a magnetic effect. Perfect for formal events or for those who want to stand out with a distinctive, sophisticated scent. It leaves a trail and conveys confidence and power. I tested it on a 10ml decant from Decanty.com and I’m dying to use it.
Currently owned, 2023 batch. This fragrance stands out. The aroma is a spectacle; there’s not much more to say. For a clean scent, it has excellent performance, very good longevity, and is easily noticeable for over 6 hours.
The opening is baby cologne. The dry-down is baby powder, soap, and vanilla. Summed up, it’s rare, but I love it; it’s an excellent fragrance for daily wear. 10/10.
SUBlime. One of the best perfumes in history. It conveys elegance, simplicity, cleanliness, and sobriety unmatched. In an era where sweet perfumes reign and 80% smell the same, this plays in another league: elegance, the one that doesn’t need to call attention, the one that knows it’s secure and winning. That’s Prada Amber. The fact that they supposedly discontinued their best perfume, lightyears ahead of L’Homme or Luna Rossa, is an aberration. It’s not just for smelling like a god; it’s so addictive I could spray it on bed sheets, cushions, all my clothes, and even bathe in it. The best iris combined with the best expensive soap scent offers this. They broke the mold.
Damn, it smells amazing. Brief citrus opening, then cardamom and saffron with a quality soap scent leaving a persistent vanilla hint—meaning 100% cleanliness. One of the best saffron perfumes I know without diving into ouds, resins, incense, or leather. Here, it goes for a soapy scent with a charming vanilla touch, not overly sweet. Totally unisex with absolute versatility. A Prada gem, a guarantee of quality. If you spot it in a small or large perfumery, by chance, at an outlet, or lost among the cheap ones, grab it blindfolded; take my word for it. La Roche proved she’s a top-tier perfumer. Elegant, stylish, a perfume that wins hearts forever.
The best Prada perfume. Better than L’Homme, Luna Rossa, or Infusion. Excellent longevity for its scent type, good projection, and totally versatile. The quality is sublime and the aroma unique: clean but with the Prada signature. The only downside is that being so neutral, it lacks personality and leans unisex. It doesn’t smell feminine or masculine, though some women find it masculine. Don’t get fooled by reformulations: the 2020 batch is still spectacular, just like the old version with the differently colored liquid.
Yes, it smells clean, but nothing masculine or memorable, with performance that feels like a body mist for a designer perfume at this price. It reminds me of baby wipes, which doesn’t help. The Prada L’homme line keeps that clean scent but with more personality, so you don’t have to press your nose to smell it. My rating is based on a 2023 batch, in case older versions performed worse.
@DanE: If you can, grab this at El Corte Inglés, no problem.
More than unisex, it’s universal: anyone who wants to smell clean and fresh can wear it, without lemon or bergamot. It’s timeless, sophisticated, and discreetly elegant. The longevity is incredible; it clings to clothes and even the place where you store it. I know it because I gifted it to a boyfriend (and regretted it); I loved smelling it on him. It smells as clean as expensive soap, talcum-like, with musks that make me close my eyes like with Chanel. It has tenderness; even kids could wear it. I don’t think it suits a guy trying to charm someone over the weekend—it’s for daily use, not ultra-sexy, though tastes are subjective. I feel seduced by that fresh-out-of-the-shower vibe. Every time I smelled it, I thought I should save it for myself (lol), and now that we’re not together, I regret it more because it’s discontinued. If anyone knows a similar dupe, I’d appreciate it.
It’s a clean, great daytime fragrance. For whatever marketing reasons, you can only find it at El Corte Inglés for nearly €100. To me, it has real magic—not for humid summers or harsh winters, unless you want a crisp impression. I associate that magic with its flanker Intense (which is discontinued), but I’d say this is like a better Nenuco cologne: higher, more sensual tones without losing freshness or naturalness. Perfect for daily wear; it says a lot without saying anything, and will please lovers of clean scents. The price is high and distribution exclusive, so it depends on how much you value it. Plus, what smells like this today won’t smell the same tomorrow.
A masterpiece of perfumery. Clean, distinguished, sober, and classy. It radiates elegance and leaves you looking sharp. Its beauty lies in its simplicity; it’s not common. I can’t think of anything more sober than this. When you wear it, you feel an incredible white aura; it’s crazy. 10/10, definitely in the top 3 of Prada.
I didn’t like it at all. I had high expectations and it was a disappointment. It smells like blue soap, then softens with something sweet but still retains that soapy vibe. It’s clean like Luna Rossa or similar, but not quite. It’s clean and fresh, but a bad experience: 5/10.
Prada Amber Pour Home is my second favorite perfume; it has me hooked. The Neroli, Musk, and Patchouli trio creates a clean, elegant, and exquisite scent on my skin. It’s like a bath soap and talcum powder that lasts all day; I enjoy it on any occasion.
What a luxury. Prada is synonymous with luxury. Wearing a fragrance of this caliber speaks of good taste. This is no exception: it smells like a visit to a high-end barbershop where they go all out with tonics and foam, a scent for a man with character. It feels like Old School style brought into the 21st century, as if the grandfathers from the movie Grasse smelled like this in their youth. Crazy, but for personal enjoyment, it’s a 10/10.
I have the new version (the L’Oréal reformulation), so I’m asking Fragrantica to update their database, just like they did with Luna Rossa EDT. Otherwise, the perfume is just very, very good.
They say some perfumes smell like river soap, but this smells like fabric softener, very pleasant. It’s similar to Prada L’Homme EDT, but softer and less aggressive. I keep using it because it smells clean; it’s the definition of that. If Prada felt too sweet or annoying to you, this version is much more wearable.
Prada smells like soap and classic barbershop. Most of their perfumes have that base, and this is a perfect example of it.
A soapy, talc-like, and amber scent that I only use for special events; so far, I haven’t found anything similar in other fragrances.
If this perfume needed an update, it didn’t deserve one. Prada respects its formulas, but I don’t think anyone would complain about a modernization. Changing the name while keeping the essence is fine, but the cardamom and saffron make it too bitter nowadays. Boosting the orange blossom and vanilla or adding some sweetness would help that initial freshness last longer. An ideal cologne version with more citrus over the new base would be great. In short: it’s very bitter, the heavy base doesn’t match the fresh top notes, and it’s hard to wear.
Prada is quality, elegance, and pure cleanliness. This smells like soap + sunscreen + baby cologne at the highest level, something Arab clones can’t match. I love the Pour Homme line (all of them except the Absolut version, which is discontinued). PS: Avoid Paradigm, it’s for teenagers. The rest is my favorite house; don’t change anything.
