Emporio Armani is a beast mode! For me, this is the best of the Stronger With You saga; that chestnut and leather combo is sublime. We’re used to the power of the original Stronger (not counting Freeze), and I’m already dying to try the new Absolutely.
Amazing perfume from Emporio Armani; for me, it’s the best of the Stronger With You saga. That combination of chestnut and leather is sublime, and being used to beast modes like the others (excluding the Freeze), I’m eager to try the new Absolutely.
Well, I expected something killer, however, I find it redundant with the Intensely and the original; it smells like candied chestnuts and a little bit of leather.
Honestly, I was expecting something ‘killer,’ but I find it redundant with Intensely and the original. It smells like candied chestnuts with a tiny bit of leather.
50% Stronger Intensely, 35% Stronger Absolutely (chestnut note), and 15% leather. That sums up this Leather: a missing link between the two previous ones, with a certain maturity without leaving the gourmand realm, but insufficient to compete with the beasts of Arab perfumery, not even against Lattafa. It would have good hype in Europe, but I doubt it will sell much in Arabia. The performance is the same as Absolutely.
I like it, and I think it was a marketing mistake to leave this only for the Arab market; it could have huge acceptance in Europe. It’s a classic that’s loved immediately, though it has to compete with beasts like Lattafa or Ard al Zaafaran. The advantage is that it’s Armani, a well-known brand. It tweaks the cinnamon, vanilla, and chestnut scheme with a slightly rough leather at first, but quickly softened by vanilla and woods. It’s a dark, savory, broody cake with character and hard to find. It reminds me of my 24 Gold, but with a slightly sweaty, animalic vanilla leather. I love potent, resinous leather from the start. The performance is notable, with a more mature vibe, but the price is high and it’s difficult to get.
This is my first review, and I chose this perfume at random. The Stronger saga has something addictive that pulls me out of my comfort zone, even though I’m not a gourmand fan. This line is sweet and striking but not cloying. The Leather follows the oud trail, though I think the excess medicinal notes don’t justify the price or the exclusivity for the Middle East. It’s redundant: it’s a Stronger with a persistent leather touch, but not enough to beat the Intense, which I consider more interesting.
I feel compelled to disagree with everyone else, but it’s the same formula as Givenchy’s Gentleman Reserve Privé. The opening is different because you can smell the leather, but eventually, it’s the usual Stronger. I’ve had my bottle on sale for months, and nobody wants it at a normal price. We get swept up in the hype without trying. If you have a Stronger from a potent batch, look elsewhere. It happened to me with the Amber, and I assume the new Tobacco will be the same: promised openings followed by absolute redundancy.
I bought it because I’m a leather lover and thought: wow! Stronger with leather. Yes, it has the same DNA with a hint of leather that I love, but I would have liked it to be more prominent. If you already own other Strongers and like them, this isn’t necessary. But if you’re looking for something sweet, very wearable, that gets compliments and has that chestnut note in the dry down, I recommend it.
I bought it because I’m a leather note fan; in my mind, it was ‘wow!’ SWY with leather… and yes, as everyone says, it’s the same DNA with just a pinch (watch out) of leather. Personally, I love it, but I wish they’d cranked it up a couple of notches. In my humble opinion, if it’s called ‘Leather,’ that note should be the protagonist, but it’s not. Sincerely, if you like the other SWY scents and already have them, I don’t see the need for this one. However, if you’re like me, drawn to the leather note but want something sweet, very wearable, compliment-getting, and with that chestnut dry-down that does it so well, I highly recommend this line.
Total flop. At first, it smells very subtly of leather, but after five or ten minutes, it smells exactly like the regular EDT version of Stronger. I bought a decant because of the hype and am very disappointed.
Discreet, masculine, and irresistible; this is a gem in the collection. It opens with that sweet, toasted, creamy note characteristic of the line, wrapped in warm spices that envelop without overwhelming. Lavender is key to balancing the sweetness and avoiding cloyingness. As it dries down, the leather emerges: smoky, with woods like guaiac and oud, but softened by vanilla so it’s not aggressive. It’s a warm, elegant leather, perfect for dates where you project elegance without shouting. I give it 9/10; it’s a treasure that deserves more recognition.
Discreet, masculine, and irresistible, Stronger With You Leather is a delight within the line. From the first spritz, you get that signature roasted, creamy sweetness of the collection, wrapped in warm, sweet spices that envelop without overwhelming. Lavender plays a key role: it balances the sweetness, keeps it from getting cloying, and lets every note shine clearly. It’s not a star lavender, but a structural one. As it dries, the expected note appears: leather. Yes, despite the controversy, there is leather. It’s not beastly or dominant like in niche scents, but it’s there, perceptible up close, with a smoky character from woods like guaiac and oud. The interesting part is how vanilla steps in: it softens the leather, wraps it, and prevents it from becoming dry or aggressive. The result is a warm, elegant leather, perfectly integrated into the formula. This fragrance isn’t playful or youthful. It’s mature, perfect for dates where you want to project elegance without shouting. It doesn’t scream, but it leaves a mark. I give it a 9/10. If you can get your hands on it, try it. It’s a discreet gem that deserves more recognition.
Hey, as Westerners, we end up paying too much here since this is exclusive to the Arab world. If you order from Dubai, it’s cheaper than in Europe—almost €100 with shipping—whereas a decant here costs €30. I’ve tried Arab clones, and the one from Fragrance World won me over: it’s identical to Stronger with a very well-executed synthetic leather touch. Even though I’m not a fan of sweet scents, this balance is perfect: intimate, elegant, and it fixes the current flaw of fragrances being too overpowering.
