It’s my favorite, right next to the EDT. Super long-lasting, feminine, with that spicy ginger kick and the softness of a red rose. I really love it.

  • It’s a beast of a perfume. My parents got it for me for the Kings’ Day, and every time I wear it, people ask what I’m wearing because it smells like another world. Very sensual and elegant, lasts forever. 10/10

I can’t handle this fragrance. It smells 200% like soap, specifically the ‘Rosa Venus’ from my country but amplified, and I don’t detect any vanilla. I tried it because I love Jean Paul Gaultier and Scandal is my favorite. But every time I wear it, I think of that soap and feel like an old lady in a temple. 🙁 The longevity and projection are amazing, but it’s not for me.

  • On my skin, it comes across as simplistic, compared to the rest of Jean Paul Gaultier’s fragrances where I detect countless nuances and shifts. For me, it’s just soap bar scent at first, then powdery and creamy rose. Nothing more. It’s not a bad perfume, but I thought it would be more special. I prefer the Classique EDT.

I can’t handle this fragrance. It smells like soap to me, specifically a bar from my country called ‘Rosa Venus,’ but amplified—I don’t detect any vanilla. I tried it, wanting to like it since I love Jean Paul Gaultier and Scandal is my favorite perfume. But I couldn’t; every time I use it, I think of that soap and feel like an old lady dressed up for church. That said, the longevity and sillage are amazing, but it’s just not for me.

Flat and simple perfume. I don’t know why they reformulate fragrances. Classique has been my go-to for years, so much so that friends and family identify me by that scent. This new version is simplistic, overly vanilla—not a Dior-style vanilla, but more like custard or vanilla ice cream. It gets heavy and nothing elegant. The opening is nice, it seems like it could have character, but it doesn’t. I think they made a serious mistake reformulating and losing the character. They just want to make sweet bombs that smell like street food. What a disappointment with this new version. Perfume purists will definitely not like it at all.

Flat and simple perfume. I don’t understand why they reformulate perfumes. The classic has been my scent for years, so much so that people identify me with it. This new version is basic, vanilla like custard or ice cream, nothing elegant. It gets heavy. I liked the opening; it seemed like it would have character, but it doesn’t. I think they made a grave mistake reformulating it; they just want to make sweet bombs that smell a mile away. What a disappointment with this version of the classic. Perfume purists definitely won’t like it at all.

  • I’m a collector and a huge fan of all JPG perfumes, but… hehe, I have to say I didn’t like this. I bought it two days ago because I tried it and loved the soap scent on the skin, but after three hours, that scent fades and turns into mothballs. I don’t know what country you’re from, but those are the little balls we used to put in our clothes when I was a kid to keep moths away. I hate that smell; it smells old to me. And while I’m 43, I wear fresher scents for men or women.

I love it; it’s a very sexy floral with a touch of vintage that makes it mysterious. It suits me perfectly and doesn’t overwhelm. I wear it in fall, winter, and spring, day and night. I get tons of compliments, which makes me like it even more.

I love it 💖, it’s a very sexy floral with a vintage touch that adds mystery. It wears perfectly on me without being overwhelming. I use it in autumn, winter, and spring, day and night. I get tons of compliments, and that’s what I like most 👍😉🤭

  • I can’t say much more than it’s wonderful. The opening is citrusy and dynamic, then it shifts to powdery roses and narcissus that give it an air of refinement. On me, the vanilla sweetness is present all the time. The trail is incredible; in spring, with just four sprays, it projects well and lasts about 7 hours. It’s my signature scent and one of my favorites. JPG has amazing fragrances.

I can’t say much more than it’s wonderful. It opens citrusy and dynamic, then moves to talcum-powdered roses and narcissus that add refinement, with sweet vanilla all the way through. The trail is incredible; in spring, 4 sprays project a lot and last about 7 hours. It’s my signature and one of my favorites. JPG has amazing fragrances.

Excellent perfume, great longevity and sillage. I’ve been using the entire Scandal line, which I love, and I bought this blindly thanks to a super deal at a parfumerie in Argentina. It feels full-bodied and has personality. I don’t detect the powdery note, just floral. It feels very vintage; I remember smelling it on a professor at law school, a super elegant lady. I don’t consider it only for older women, but I can’t imagine it on someone very young.

  • Floral with a vanilla twist and the JPG signature. I’d describe it as creamy floral with a hint of smoke, sweet rose petals, nothing synthetic, with a subtle mandarin and a narcissus blend that makes it unique. Dry down is vanilla and amber with those roses and narcissus; starts powdery but fades as it dries. The trail is fantastic, excellent longevity—over 9 hours on skin and uneraseable on clothes. It’s for special occasions, with that natural sweetness of JPG that no one can dislike. Even though it’s vintage, I find it iconic and timeless. I’m itching to try the whole Classique line. The bottle matches perfectly; it’s a work of art.

  • Honestly, I applied it and thought it was horribly intoxicating, so strong I assumed I wouldn’t like it. But after a few minutes, I discovered a sweeter, kinder, more sensual aroma. Now I definitely want it. I’m used to fragrances of innocence and calm, but this captivated me.

  • The note that never quite settled in the original version really takes off here—it sounds like something for an older person. I think it’s the orchid mixed with narcissus; very potent and floral. I tested it dry, maybe it changes on skin, but I still don’t like it. Perhaps with more time, but I wouldn’t choose it. If I had to pick one, I’d stick with the original and leave this for my great-aunt. I prefer other JPG scents if I must choose.

  • Call me crazy, but on my skin it smells like Lancôme’s Poême, just sweeter and sexier. It has a vintage vibe, so you have to love powdery rose. My skin drinks perfumes, so I’ll try it again to confirm the performance.

  • One of my top 5. Feminine, sensual, you can smell the rum and the roses. It’s a must-have in my collection ❤️.

  • Maybe it’s simple, but the rose with that spicy twist makes it extraordinarily feminine. I wear it at night and in winter, and although I don’t repeat perfumes, this is the first one that truly won me over.

It’s outrageous they call it a simple body mist. Pearls aren’t for pigs 🫤🤷🏻♀️.

It’s outrageous and ignorant to call this scent simple or a body mist. Without a doubt, pearls aren’t for pigs. 🫤🤷🏻♀️

  • Mr. Baskerville

Amidst all the political and social chaos, the great thing is that JPG doesn’t sell a cat for a fox. This 2017 Collector is modern and measured, with less baroque flair than the classic but the same DNA. It’s not flat, maintains femininity (though slightly more muted), and above all, delivers the longevity and projection that should be the standard.

  • This little sibling is subtler and less serious, much easier to wear and adaptable to any season. It’s not identical, but it shares the Classique DNA with that same familiarity.

  • It smells similar to Lancôme’s Poême in the morning, with a powdery touch, creamy rose, and that rum-vanilla in perfect balance; sweet but without falling into gourmand territory.

  • I’m obsessed because it moves away from the heavy gourmands flooding the market. What saves it is that rum note—it’s DIVINE and I’m drawn to it more every day.

  • It doesn’t hook me; it loses the floral balance of the EDT and becomes sharp. If you’re looking for something more night-time and intense, this is your pick, but for me, it smells like exhaustion compared to the harmony of the original.

  • For me, it’s a no. It smells like the EDT but loses the floral balance, with sharp and strong notes appearing. Yes, if the EDT’s intensity is too weak for you or you’re looking for something more nocturnal, it could be your option. Personally, I didn’t like it; it gets on my nerves to smell it, although the EDT feels more harmonious and interesting to me.
