  • Exquisite fragrances. Unlike the Classique Eau de Toilette, in my opinion, this one is a bit sweeter, more vanilla-forward, and I even feel it’s gourmand, perhaps because the vanilla predominates. It lasts a very long time, a quality Gaultier has in his fragrances. I tend to wear it on autumn and winter nights; definitely an excellent perfume.

  • I agree with Alicia; this is sweeter than the Eau de Toilette version. I love it; it highlights a charming, sweet vanilla that’s soft but has great projection. You can sense a certain liquorish touch on the skin, but nothing invasive—extraordinarily pleasant. Any woman who takes pride in being a bit coquettish will enjoy this delight.

  • The Classique Eau de Parfum is the scent of sirens. It’s hypnotic, like their voice, overflowing with eroticism just as much as their femininity and beauty. It’s an exotic perfume, very suggestive, provocative, feminine, and bold. Let’s not forget it contains rum. The notes of rum, rose, orchid, and vanilla are perfectly crafted; the rum and vanilla are detected much more than the others, but they all work as a team. It’s a seduction perfume. Note: once you try the EDP, you never go back to the EDT; the EDP is much more intoxicating and complex.

  • I notice it’s very different from the Eau de Toilette; this one smells like soap, and not in a way I like. It’s like showering with an old floral soap that came in flowery boxes and left its scent everywhere. My husband doesn’t like it either, even though the Eau de Toilette is his favorite. The most interesting thing is that, even though I don’t like wearing it, I get tons of compliments when I do. It lasts longer than anything else, and the projection is huge; you can tell the quality of the perfume is excellent.

  • It’s a consistent scent and, as the name suggests, classic, with a very present powdery rose. I agree with Lilia that it smells like soap; to me, it reminds me of a collection of vintage miniature soaps from my grandmother—it smells exactly like that. Still, it’s very feminine, and the rose is totally present. Although its composition includes vanilla and tonka bean, I don’t perceive them as especially sweet, but rather as an enveloping floral with a vanilla base. It is definitely sweeter than its predecessor, the Eau de Toilette, and better too. It’s elegant, chic, and very feminine: a sure hit. But precisely because of that, it’s not risky; for me, it lacks that note that makes the difference. However, I like it and it deserves its good reputation, plus its longevity is excellent. If I were thinking of gifting a perfume to a woman, this would be one of the best candidates due to its easy adaptability to all olfactory preferences.

  • It’s really good, a true gem. Be careful with fakes; it’s not fair to judge a perfume if all you’ve smelled is a bad imitation.

I’m 21 and I’ve been wearing this for five years. Before, I used it sparingly because I loved it, but at 16, I couldn’t see myself with something this strong. Gradually, I started putting more and more on, and now I absolutely adore it. It’s classic and elegant; every time I put it on, people ask what I’m wearing. If you like strong, sweet perfumes, you’ll love this. I remember a guy approached me just to ask what perfume I was wearing.

Putting this on is a showstopper: it makes you stand out and cast a shadow over everyone else, but with innocent elegance. It’s an alcoholic vanilla that, paradoxically, turns out soft and delicate. It has a fascinating duality: it’s creamy and sensual, yet wherever it goes, it cuts through with gentleness. The bottle alone curves you in at the first spray; it’s pure femininity, a charm doll. Every time I wear it, I feel sexy; it exhales eroticism but in a playful way, like a girl who wants to stand out without being the party’s panther. It was one of the first I accepted with vanilla; no one had to tell me to try it. Right there in the perfumery, it stood slender and arrogant, calling out to you with its shape to make you feel sexy.

Wearing this perfume is an experience: you’re stunned and cast a shadow over others, but this time, you do it with delicacy and innocence. It’s an alcoholized vanilla that turns out soft, a fascinating duality: creamy and sensual, sweet but always making its presence known. The bottle already curves with charm at the first spray; it’s a feminine mannequin dressed in allure. It makes me feel very sexy; it exudes eroticism in a playful or innocent way, like a girl who wants to stand out without being the party’s panther. It was one of the first vanilla perfumes I accepted without anyone telling me to try it; over there in the store, it was slender and arrogant, calling to you with its shape and making you sexy just by being so.

I’m a man, but this is the best female perfume that could exist. Second place goes to Flower by Kenzo, third to Chanel N.5, and fourth to Paloma Picasso. Regarding the review, Classique is the most seductive fragrance my nose has ever known. I bought it for my husband, and when he wears it, just his scent seduces me! Att: ViktorNose. • I absolutely love it. When I first tried the eau de toilette, it won my heart, but the dry-down on my skin was disappointing; I’m not sure if it just doesn’t suit me or if my skin chemistry doesn’t play nice with it. The eau de parfum, however, is exactly what I was looking for and adds what the previous version lacked: much sweeter and more delicate. I like the opening, but it’s about fifteen minutes in when it truly drives me wild. The weird thing is that it smells different on skin versus clothes; on fabric, it’s floral and alcoholic without vanilla, but on my skin, it’s sweet, musky, creamy, and vanilla-forward, and I’m obsessed (I only wear it on skin). I detect lots of vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood with the florals in the background. It’s very sensual and sexy without being aggressive, with a subtle, playful, and elegant touch. I love florals and sweets, but if they go overboard, they get cloying, and this one is perfect.

  • I adore it. When I tried the Eau de Toilette version, I fell in love with it, but the dry-down on my skin was very disappointing; I don’t know if I just don’t like how it smells or if it doesn’t react well with my skin. The Eau de Parfum was absolutely what I was looking for and has what, for me, the Eau de Toilette lacks. I perceive it as much sweeter and more delicate. The initial spray smells great, but what really drives me crazy is after at least 15 minutes. It’s strange that it smells completely different on skin versus clothes, as if they were two entirely different perfumes. On clothes, it’s floral and alcoholic with zero vanilla, but on my skin, it’s sweet, powdery, creamy, and vanilla-infused—I love it (I only wear it on skin, that’s how I like it). I detect lots of vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood, with the flowers in the background. It’s very sensual and sexy without being aggressive, with a playful touch that isn’t too obvious or scandalous, very elegant. I love floral and sweet perfumes, but if they go overboard, they disgust me, and this one is perfect.

  • One of the most beautiful scents I’ve smelled recently. I fell in love with it. It has everything I look for in a fragrance: warmth, sensuality, sweetness, depth, mystery, tenderness, exoticism, and love… lots and lots of love. If it were just a tiny bit more unisex, I’d wear it everywhere; but I sense it’s feminine enough to avoid giving too much trouble. It’s a pity… I’ll have to enjoy it in my solitude, like an olfactory onanism, which happens with so many other perfumes that are too feminine for a society not yet ready to perceive them in a man. As a curious note, when I had to choose a CLASSIQUE for this review, I saw there are no less than 48 flankers of Classique on Fragantica! This hysteria over creating flankers reaches obsessive-compulsive disorder limits that even Elizabeth Taylor in ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ would envy. The opening is noticeably woody, sweet, and floral. WOODY: with the intoxicating oriental blend of sandalwood, vanilla, and rum. SWEET: thanks to the tonka bean and amber mix. FLORAL: deep florals from the roses, narcissus, and orchid. The difference from the EDT is the absence of musk and citrus notes. It’s more intoxicating, enveloping, and warm. More maternal, more sensual, and much more attractive to me. It’s close to some woody oriental male fragrances, though the narcissus and orchid give it a fairly feminine touch. It’s the kind of perfume I can’t stop smelling on my arm; it even makes me want to lick, eat, and savor it. As it develops, the blend of roses, tonka bean, and vanilla turns it into a paradisiacal aromatic dream that lulls me into a sort of olfactory trance. I’m reminded of the sweetness of the old LOULOU by Cacharel, a scent I was passionate about. Also of an OBSESSION and a sweeter SHALIMAR, but with that enveloping air like the loving arms of a smiling, maternal Venus. The curvy bottle (like beautiful Aphrodite), in terracotta colors (like Mother Earth) and covered in lace (like a voluptuous and classy lover) is a triumph by GAULTIER, only comparable to his sailors in LE MALE. To think that the first time I saw them, I thought they were vulgar! Now they’re like family.

Delicious masterpiece, an incredible trail. It doesn’t project well on me due to my pH, but on my mom, it’s an absolute bomb; it makes her feel like a beautiful, elegant woman.

  • Amazing perfume!! People always ask me what I’m wearing. I absolutely love it. I’m so glad I have it and wish it would always be in my collection. It’s like a mystery; I’m still trying to fully understand it.

  • Marita20leysi

Delicious bomb of a fragrance with an incredible trail. On me, it doesn’t project well due to my pH, but on my mom, it’s an absolute bomb and makes her feel like a beautiful, elegant woman.

  • While they don’t share many notes with the EDT, they feel very, very similar. In my opinion, though, the EDT is much richer. The EDT feels soapy, like a luxurious bath experience. This one, to me, smells more like disinfectant.

  • Cosmicgirl

This fragrance is so mysterious that I’ve had it for a long time without using it; I feel it deserves a very special occasion, not just any moment. I imagine this as a pinup in all its forms: the EDT is a sexy, clean, innocent girl with impeccable grooming, while the EDP is the same girl but after a drink of rum—nocturnal and intimate. Not a negative connotation, just two sides of the same coin. The EDT feels fresh and pure; the EDP is the same essence but darker, more private. It’s not for a clubbing party… two different facets of every woman, and maybe it depends on which side you feel more connected to when choosing. I like both, but I think there’s more to this story. Even without using it, I know I’ll keep waiting for the right moment; I can’t let it go.

  • A different perfume from what’s on the market—sexy, deep, special, and warm. Definitely for special occasions when you’re dressed to kill. On me, the vanilla and rum notes really shine, making it feel so cozy. The trail and longevity are brutal; it’s a scent that makes everyone turn to look. Perfect for cold weather or nights out.

  • LorenaLorelay

It’s been discontinued… the substitute is the Red Corset one, similar but less long-lasting and simpler. I have a little bit left and it’s a shame to use it up. Don’t confuse this with the new one because unfortunately, it’s not the same.

  • You can smell the rum immediately; it’s very elegant and becomes more avoirdupois with time. Girls of Chile (lotengoparavender) @jnayumiau_ instagram
