I found it for sleeping in, and it’s my signature night scent; on its own, it feels a bit lacking, but it’s long-lasting and delicious. The trick is layering: it’s the perfect sweet floral note to soften woody and dark perfumes. My winning combos are with Man in Black, L’Eau d’Issey, Cedrat Boise Intense, and Gentleman EDP Reserve Privée. The result is incredible!
I’ve had it for six years and it’s a love. It’s black licorice with an amber that gets much sweeter on my skin over time. The longevity is top-notch, about 9 hours, though the projection drops to 2 hours. The trail is brutal. Just a heads-up, it seems reformulated and doesn’t perform quite like before.
Breakout pick: amber and black licorice, the classic tough guy. It evolves very little, but the changes that do happen are noticeable. I wish it lasted longer; the trail is strong for the first hour then fades. It sticks to the skin for about 4 or 5 hours before becoming very close-to-the-skin, but it persists. I wear it on late nights to go out; it’s very dark. I don’t recommend it for daytime or summer; it’s super warm. I’m not sure if I’d buy it again, but for now, I enjoy it.
