What a pity, I bought it and on my skin it smells very sweet, like coffee with milk. Let’s see how it smells on other skin types.
The opening doesn’t work for me; it’s too fruity and the blend with coffee sounds off. Once it dries down, it smells like very sweet coffee, as a friend said, like a cappuccino.
Smells like an incredibly sexy coffee cocktail.
I didn’t enjoy the opening; it’s very fruity and citrusy, with prominent bergamot that I don’t like when paired with peach. Also, when the coffee note emerges, it feels uncohesive. After an hour, without the acidic notes, the perfume becomes more wearable. I expected an intense coffee scent, but on me, the woods stood out more; the coffee is present but doesn’t match the strength of the wood. Based on the opening, I don’t think it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a dominant coffee scent that’s unisex with good longevity, it might work, but overall, I didn’t like it. Overall: 6/10. Sillage: 6/10. Longevity: 3-4 hours.
My first disappointment with Mancera. I love the brand and all their perfumes, just like Montale’s, but I bought this expecting a coffee scent—nothing. Zero coffee. It smells like sweet anise; in my country, there are candies called Media Hora with that exact scent that I adore, but I bought this with a different idea in mind.
Smells like a coffee candy. Here they sell coffee candies that smell exactly like this, and when I smell the perfume, I get cravings to eat them. If you want that scent, buy the candies. It doesn’t last long, maybe 4 hours, and doesn’t project much, but it smells delicious. I didn’t buy it because I wasn’t sure when to wear it. In my opinion, Mancera has better options, but taste is subjective. What I do say is never buy a perfume from this house without testing it first. These are very particular scents and quite expensive. I can recommend Red Tobacco, Cedrat Boise, Hindu Kush, and Instant Crush. From now on, test before buying to avoid wasting money.
I love this perfume, even though I bought it for my husband, I absolutely adore wearing it myself; it’s totally unisex for me. It relaxes me, in fact, I even use it to sleep. It has a delicious coffee opening; here you can truly taste the coffee note without it being sweet or overwhelming like a coffee cocktail, but the sad news is the note lasts very little, seeming more like an opening than a heart. There are also slightly warm and spicy notes, but in the end, I smell like baby powder. The longevity on my skin is very good, about 8 hours. This combination seems delicious to me.
I love it. I bought it for my husband, but I adore wearing it too—it’s totally unisex. It’s so relaxing that I even use it to fall asleep. It has a delicious coffee note; here, you can really taste it without it being overly sweet or overwhelming like a café con leche. The downside is it doesn’t last long; it seems more like a top note than a heart. There’s also a warm spicy touch, but eventually, I smell baby powder and talcum. On my skin, the longevity is decent, around eight hours. This combination is just delicious.
It smells like a coffee candy. I bought some candies with that exact scent here, and when I sniff the perfume, I get cravings. If you’re looking for that vibe, go for it. It lasts about four hours and doesn’t project much, but it’s rich. I didn’t wear it because I wasn’t sure when to use it; Mancera has better options, but everyone has their own taste. Warning: never buy without testing first—these are niche, pricey scents. I’d recommend Red Tobacco, Cedrat Boise, Hindu Kush, and Instant Crush instead. From now on, always test before you spend.
The dry down is top-notch, but the coffee note isn’t strong for me—my wife definitely picks it up. On me, it smells fruity and sweet; on her, it’s woody and attractive. Longevity is typical Mancera.
It’s a coffee bonbon or cappuccino scent; it’s not the intense espresso coffee I was expecting, more like an anise-flavored latte or cappuccino. It’s a bit like Black Opium by YSL, but simpler and less sweet. A rich scent, but if you’re looking for a natural, energizing, and dark coffee smell, this isn’t it.
It smells like a coffee bonbon or a cappuccino; not a pure, intense espresso, but more like a latte or cappuccino with a hint of anise. It reminds me a bit of YSL’s Black Opium, but it’s simpler and less sweet. The scent is rich, though if you’re looking for something naturally coffee-like, energizing, and dark, this isn’t it.
I’m looking for an intense coffee fragrance for winter, and this isn’t it. That doesn’t mean the smell is super pleasant; it’s one you can’t stop sniffing. I’ll keep looking for something with more potent coffee, but Aoud Café seems like a good fragrance worth trying.
It smells exactly like a banana sweet from here in Colombia called ‘Coffee Delight’. I wish the coffee felt a bit stronger, but hey, it’s not bad, right? In the end, it comes across a bit more fruity, which isn’t bad either. Longevity is leaning towards low.
I’m really sorry, but to me, it smells like I forgot to turn off the stove and burned the coffee.
I don’t know why they don’t mention this beautiful perfume on YouTube. I’m a girl, and my boyfriend loves me wearing it in cold weather. The woody note stands out more with a background of creamy espresso coffee. Simply beautiful for me as a woman.
I don’t know why they don’t mention this beautiful perfume on YouTube… I’m a girl and my boyfriend loves me wearing it in the cold. It highlights the woody notes with a creamy espresso coffee base. Simply gorgeous for me as a woman.
Another great gem from Pierre Montale that truly deserves its place in niche perfumery, without being too expensive or pretentious. Aoud Café is one of my favorites: it has a delicious, very marked coffee trail, with that pleasant warmth and complexity that is beautifully rounded out by the amber and woody notes, which are never overlooked. Personally, it’s one of the best olfactory experiences I’ve had, surpassing more expensive and flashy brands. Highly recommended if you’re a coffee lover and want to attract attention with elegance and subtlety.
Another great classic by Pierre Montale, which truly deserves a spot in niche perfumery without being too expensive or pretentious. Aoud Café is one of my favorites, featuring a delicious and very noticeable coffee trail that adds warmth and a very pleasant olfactory complexity. It’s beautifully rounded out by amber and woody notes that don’t go unnoticed. Personally, it’s one of the best olfactory experiences I’ve had, surpassing more expensive and pompous brands. Highly recommended if you’re a coffee lover and want to turn heads with elegance and subtle sophistication.
Smells like a coffee candy with amber. After a few hours, it shifts to sweet notes I’ve never heard before; very different but exquisite. I bought it by mistake thinking it was Amore Caffé and got a tremendous surprise; it’s one of Pierre Montale’s best, without rose or violet, which is a relief for those wanting an aoud without them. Definitely 100% recommended.
I was looking for a caramelized coffee scent that was also elegant, and finally found it. It’s unisex, though I understand the dry-down highlights the masculine side with the musk; however, its level of sweetness and vanilla makes it very sexy on a woman (similar to what happens with Jardin Exclusif). The opening is strong coffee, very sweet and spiced, like a cappuccino, not grain coffee. I didn’t perceive any fruity notes. After a few hours, it settles into an aldehydic scent with aoud. I tried Amore Caffe but didn’t like it because it was linear and purely gourmand, like a body splash; in contrast, this has that caramel-like sweetness but develops with the oud and musk, making it elegant and refined. The longevity is very good, though the sillage is moderate.
Mancera’s Aoud Café is a masterpiece. The coffee note is executed perfectly and moves away from the gourmand genre, blending woods, sweetness, and flowers to create something rich and elegant—a hidden gem in the niche. I received it as a gift, and although the name suggests something like Amore Caffé, it was a huge surprise: it’s different and has a different goal. Its evolution is praiseworthy. It deserves more recognition as an excellent work by Pierre Montale. Elegant, serious, and distinguished, I recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and sophisticated.
Straight to the point: Is it worth it? Yes. Does it last? A long time. Does it project? A lot. But be warned, it’s not a typical scent; it smells like gourmet coffee, clean yet dark, with a floral touch. It’s quite mysterious. Definitely test it before buying.
