I tried it this noon at Zara Alicante, and it’s a clone of Stronger with You, though in a synthetic version.
A sweet but mature fragrance. It reminds me of a Christmas fruit punch, that mix of fruits in hot water served at parties. Notes of apple, cinnamon, piloncillo, guava, and orange. It smells like pure apple, citrus, and cinnamon over wood and lots of amber. It’s warm, long-lasting, and has a sillage of more than an arm, lasting about 6 hours. Perfect for cold weather, nothing for summer.
A sweet but mature fragrance. To me, it’s like a Christmas fruit punch: a mix of fruits in hot water, typical for parties. You can taste apple, cinnamon, piloncillo, guava, and orange. In Amber Ego, all of this comes through. What does it smell like exactly? Pure apple, a citrus touch, and cinnamon, over a base of wood and lots of amber. It’s warm, long-lasting, with a sillage of more than an arm and about 6 hours of longevity. Ideal for winter and fall, nothing for summer.
A ten-out-of-ten fragrance. Highly recommended.
Spectacular fragrance at a price that has no rival (under 10 euros). Smells like apple and cinnamon, amber, and a touch of iris. Sweet but not cloying, perfect for cold weather. Good longevity and sillage. A very smart purchase!
As a Zara perfume lover, I bought it a few hours ago. Barely out of the box, I sprayed one on my wrist. It’s a rich fragrance, not cloying at all, and everyone who tried it loved it without hesitation. Four hours later, I still smell it on my wrist and it projects—less intense, of course, but noticeable. Repeat: I only sprayed once.
If you like Armani’s Stronger With You Intensely, don’t waste your money on the original. This is practically identical and lasts just as long. Note: it’s for those who love sweet scents; it smells like nougat caramel with a hint of coconut. It’s so sugary it creates a warm sensation, so wear it in cold weather or spring. The longevity is brutal, so don’t over-spray. For under 10 euros, it’s worth every penny.
Addictive and super sweet scent. I don’t know how Stronger smells, but I like this Amber. Sometimes it slightly reminds me of 1 Million; the note I notice most is cinnamon, and it smells totally vanilla. Totally recommended for cold climates and nighttime.
With that coconut scent, wouldn’t anyone wear it on a summer night? I don’t see anything inappropriate about it for that moment. What do you think?
I jumped in based on the reviews and it’s similar to Stronger With You. I compared them and that’s right. Saving for the fact that Zara is more synthetic, it doesn’t disappoint. Longevity and intensity pleasantly surprised me—6-7 hours on skin and clothes. Intensity is moderate-to-good; it doesn’t project strongly but creates a warm, sweet aura. It’s sweet, better for cold days. The price is another huge plus; I got it for under €10.
I love Amber Ego. While others talk of spices and cinnamon, to me it smells only of exquisite apple and the sweetness of iris; I don’t detect cedar. The sweetness isn’t exaggerated or overwhelming. It’s warm, perfect for nights or rainy afternoons with coffee or dinner. Very pleasant for women due to its warmth and fruity notes. I wish it had more projection at Zara, but it’s one of my best.
Anyone who says this is the same as Stronger With You Intensely is crazy. It does remind you of it, but if you spray one on each arm, the comparison is: Stronger is mineral water and Zara is a bottle left in the sun. It’s a rich, long-lasting scent at a ridiculous price. Perfect for that ‘vibe,’ but softer and simpler for everyday wear. Even though YouTubers say they’re identical, I disagree—I’m sharing my experience.
I already owned Versace Eros and it didn’t come to mind until I saw Zara’s notes: lemon, apple, and vanilla—ingredients Eros also has. Once I knew that, I compared them and Amber Ego smells very similar to Eros 2020. Try it with Eros in mind and you’ll understand what I mean.
I bought it to compare with Stronger With You Intensely, but then I tried the EDT and this one is closer to that. It smells great, though it’s more synthetic than the EDT for obvious reasons. Longevity and projection are very good, and the price is a laugh. One of Zara’s best.
I bought it blind and it’s excellent for winter and fall. It reminds me of my Zara Tobacco Rich-Warm-Addictive line. Highly recommended. 12 hours on the skin—amazing!
I bought it blindly because I first tried Stronger with You Intensely and loved it. But they don’t compare in terms of scent quality. The Zara one isn’t just about price; the Armani felt too sweet and intense for me at first. Seeing that this one was less invasive, I decided to go for it. The Zara scent is very similar to the Armani once it dries down, but you can tell the difference in quality and nuances. Zara is more synthetic, with a base that sometimes gets tiring. In terms of nuances, apple stands out in Zara, while in Armani it’s the vanilla, caramel, and sweet tobacco. They share the same DNA, but they are two different worlds. Zara’s price is unbeatable, and the value for money is undeniable. Worth every cent. Scent: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection: 8/10, Sillage: 8/10, Value for money: 10/10. Blind buy: 8/10. Season: fall/winter.
I bought it blindly because I first encountered the Stronger with You Intensely, which I thought was phenomenal. But they don’t compare in terms of scent quality. I bought the Zara one not just for the value, but because the Stronger seemed too sweet and intense at first. Reading reviews, they said it was a less sweet and invasive option, so I decided on it. Although the Zara scent resembles the Armani one in the drydown, they differ enormously in quality and nuances. In quality, Zara is more synthetic, with a base that sometimes tires me out. In nuances, the Zara version highlights the apple more, while the Stronger features vanilla, caramel, and sweet tobacco. Both are similar because they share the same DNA, but it’s clear they are two different worlds. Zara’s price is unbeatable; the price-to-quality ratio is undeniable. Worth every penny. Scent: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 8/10, Projection: 8/10, Value: 10/10, Blind Buy: 8/10. Season: Fall/Winter.
I always buy blind and this is a coconut and vanilla bomb—super sweet with great projection and longevity. The price is ridiculous and the quality is a 10/10. I’d buy it again without hesitation; it smells delicious.
I AGREE WITH JOMA: anyone who says it’s similar to the SWY Intensely is crazy. I hate to say it, but it’s way too similar to Armani Code Absolu Gold. It has the same apple note in the opening and the drydown. Yes, obviously it’s similar to the Stronger, but remember that the Stronger has melon, not apple. Also, everyone says it’s similar to the Stronger (which has some similarity), but it’s a rip-off of the Absolu Gold.
It doesn’t remind me of the Stronger with You Intensely; it’s less sweet, maybe more like the regular one. The longevity is good, especially considering it’s only 5€ right now.
I was desperate to get it; when I bought it, I loved it, but soon I got bored. I use it from time to time because I like it in itself, but not for everyday wear. If it’s similar to the Armani one.
I was desperate to get it, and when I finally did, I loved it, but soon I got bored with it. I use it from time to time because I like it, but not for everyday wear. If it’s similar to the Armani one.
Excellent dupe of the Stronger with You at a great price. Smells good, moderate performance. Both the SWY and this one have that wet cardboard scent that I like, basically coconut and amber. Great value for money. God’s plan 🦉.
Zara Amber Ego. My story starts when the community commented that it bears a great resemblance to Armani’s Stronger with You. I hadn’t tried the original yet, but seeing Zara’s price, I didn’t hesitate. Let me tell you, I LOVE it. It’s a fragrance that begins with a very well-executed green apple accord. Fresh, fruity, and slightly mentholated is the first thing you notice. Soon enough, its true essence appears, an extremely sweet scent (not as much as the Armani) where coconut, vanilla, and amber stand out. What surprises me is that even though it gets very sweet, it doesn’t lose its initial mentholated facet. It fades away, but if you pay attention, it remains present. The fragrance performs amazingly: 10 hours of longevity, projecting for 3 to 4 hours with a heavy sillage at the start that drops to something moderate. Ideal for wearing at night in cold weather. Perfect for going out partying or grabbing a drink, nothing too formal. Regarding the unisex aspect, yes, but leaning heavily towards the masculine side. A fragrance where Zara does things right and has made me interested in the Armani collection. 100% recommended to everyone. Zara Amber Ego. I started because people said it was similar to Armani’s Stronger with You. I hadn’t tried it yet, but at Zara’s price, I took the plunge. I love it! It starts with a very well-executed green apple accord: fresh, fruity, and slightly mentholated. Soon its essence emerges: a super sweet scent (less than the Armani) where coconut, vanilla, and amber stand out. What surprises me is that, although it’s sweet, it doesn’t lose that initial mentholated facet. It dilutes, but if you pay attention, it’s still there. It performs amazingly: 10 hours of longevity. It projects strongly for the first 3-4 hours with a heavy trail that drops to something moderate. Ideal for night out in cold weather. Perfect for going out partying or having a drink, nothing too formal. It’s unisex but leans masculine. Zara did a good job and it made me want to try Armani’s Stronger with You collection. 100% recommended. If you want more content, check out my YouTube channel: Perfúmate Con JL.
I tried it today, and while I usually don’t throw perfumes under the bus, for my nose it was a resounding no. The opening was awful; I wanted to wash it off my arm immediately. It smelled like Stronger with You Intensely but done terribly, with an ultra-synthetic, piercing smoky note that I really disliked. The drydown didn’t change much, just lowered the volume of that piercing tone, but I still don’t like it. Just to clarify, I love the SWY line, and yes, it does resemble Stronger with You, specifically the Intensely version, but I don’t think it’s a good option. It fails to capture the gourmand vibe that defines the line, so it’s only useful for getting an idea of where they’re heading. As a standalone fragrance, in my personal opinion, it’s a failure. The longevity is excellent though; I washed my wrist three times and it was still there (and it’s still going after five hours). If you like the SWY line, you probably won’t like this one; you’ll notice the huge difference between the two (and I understand the price disparity, but they could have kept the simplicity of the SWY scents and left out that piercing smoky touch that, in my opinion, ruins everything).
I tried it today. I don’t throw hate around for free; in the end, every nose has its verdict. For me, a resounding NO. The opening was awful; I wanted to wash it off my arm. It seemed like a poorly made version of the Stronger with You Intensely base: smoky, synthetic, and loud. The drydown toned down the loudness, but I still don’t like it. I love the SWY line. Does it resemble the Stronger with You? Yes, the Intensely. But it’s not a good option. It doesn’t give that typical gourmand sensation of the line. As a standalone perfume, in my opinion, it’s a failure. It lasts forever; I washed my wrist three times and it was still there (still at 5 hours). If you like the SWY line, you won’t like this; there’s an abyssal difference. I understand the price, but they could have kept it simple and not added that smoky touch that ruins everything.
Wow! I was fascinated by it; what a shame it’s discontinued 😢. It smells very similar to Zara’s Tie and Dye, which is also out of stock 😢😢. The notes say amber and coconut, and you can definitely smell them, especially the amber. In cold, it smells like exquisite sweet clove. A divine scent 😍🕉️. A gem of perfumery, 1000x recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️.
It’s an almost exact clone of the Stronger with You EDT, nothing like the Intensely version.
I’m not usually a fan of coconut in other perfumes, but it works wonders here. It doesn’t last forever, but it’s far from bad.
