Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze by Zara is a leather fragrance for men. This creation, launched by Zara in 2025, is presented as a new addition to the brand's catalog. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of lemon, sour lime, bergamot, and ginger. The heart of the composition reveals the elegance of black tea, neroli, and jasmine, while the base notes land on a woody foundation with tonka bean.

I loved it, it’s a faithful successor to Zara Summer Cologne: not as good but with the same vibe. Super fresh and energetic, with a tiny touch of sweet tonka vanilla that reminds me of Allure Homme. Smells like lime-lemon with great projection and longevity for a fresh scent. The bottle is pretty, with an unexpected spray from Zara (most of them are just a mess) and a magnetic cap. A pleasant surprise, perfect for this summer. I wore it to the gym yesterday and people kept complimenting it.
I absolutely loved it; I’d say it’s a faithful successor to the Zara Summer Cologne, not as good and very similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but it has the vibe. Super fresh, revitalizing, and energetic, it has that sweet pinch of tonka bean that reminds me of Allure Homme. To me, it smells like a rosy Lima-Lemon scent with great projection and longevity for a fresh perfume. The bottle is nice with a frosty finish, it has a sprayer you wouldn’t expect from Zara (most are just ‘squirters’ as I say), and it has a magnetic cap. I wore it at the gym yesterday and kept getting compliments while sweating. Something unexpected; a perfume for this summer.
I can’t compare it to anything because I haven’t tried another that resembles it, only Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, and they don’t match. You can detect a faint background of that Sunrise. At first, it’s an intense fresh citrus but not sweet, like lemonade with a floral touch. As it settles, it smells like orange Tic Tac candies, not like orange itself. The predominant citrus reminds me of a Cartier Declaration from years ago. On my skin, it lasts 4-5 hours, losing intensity after the first hour. I walked into Zara without intending to buy it because I don’t like Vibrant Leather, but I ended up taking it. It’s fresh, youthful, and energetic. Perfect for summer at 20€.
I’m sorry to say, but I didn’t like a single thing about it… Another summer floor-waxer from Zara…
Super refreshing and revitalizing, it bubbles like a lemon soda, perfect for summer. It’s unisex. Lasts 4-5 hours on skin and up to the next day on clothes; I was surprised by the longevity for a citrus summer scent. The spray nozzle is wide, I love taking a shower in it after a bath without hurting my wallet. To me, it reminds me of a glass of Sprite with ice and a slice of lemon.
Good revitalizing fragrance; not the usual sweet citrus, but acidic and even almost bitter. It recalls several legendary scents like Dior Homme Cologne, especially in the dry-down where it softens and sweetens a bit, much like DHC. Insisting that they don’t resemble each other indicates bias. DHC has been compared to many, but this one is 10 times more similar than Adolfo Domínguez. To me, at first, it reminds me of Eau Sauvage Cologne for its acidity and bitterness; I can almost smell the white part of the lemon and lime, though it lacks that green-herbal touch. It evolves and softens into a white musky base that reveals its tiny sweetness to balance things out. It’s very similar to DHC here, but this one holds up better in this phase, staying less sweet and more intact. DHC lasted longer but was barely noticeable; this lasts fewer hours but with more presence. Perfect for summer to escape cloying smells. Good longevity for a citrus at this price.
No hard feelings, but here at Fragántica we tread carefully with perfumes and their similarities. I see many YouTube channels, but not critically, and with this Summer, I’ve been really annoyed by how it’s been analyzed by some. Let everyone try this Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze and draw their own conclusions… if it works for you, enjoy it and buy a refill. But the supposed resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne is way off in my opinion; linking any citrus to Dior is too easy and recurrent. Quick in-store test reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, including mine. Just enjoy this flanker.
The free marketing around this Summer Breeze, at the expense of Dior Homme Cologne, via rushed YouTube reviews, will be studied in the future. It’s based on the idea that previous flankers resembled ‘something’ of the low-quality DHC, its discontinuation was romanticized, and now it’s inferred that this new Summer is the dupe to smell ‘practically the same’ as DHC but cheap. I’m sorry to say it’s false. There are low-quality dupes that reference the original, but this isn’t one of them. It doesn’t draw inspiration from DHC nor evoke anything like DHC; it’s on a different path. It’s similar in that it’s a citrus perfume, that’s it. If we’re going to present it as a dupe, why not compare it to Reinassence or Aqua di Parma? Dior Homme Cologne has been set as the benchmark, and every cheap citrus is automatically presented as its dupe. The opening of this Summer Breeze is aggressive and synthetic; it’s impossible for it to resemble DHC, which is luminous and exquisite. This Zara is a sharp, bitter citrus explosion, leaning toward rough lime with pomegranate and ugly lemon highlighted with ginger. It softens later and evolves into something creamy and slightly sweet, but barely, with short longevity of 4-5 hours. In its final phase, it resembles Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, which has better quality and evolution. I can understand forgiving it for the price being loud, but you CANNOT DECEIVE people by saying it smells like Dior Homme Cologne when they don’t share chords or aura. Dior is fine and pristine; this starts rough and smells cheap, sweetens with tonka bean, and fixes with woods, lacking a defined personality. Dior’s Calabria Bergamot has nothing to do with the lime and lemon of the Makro product in this Summer. Okay, it’s 20 euros, but avoiding these bad purchases, you get the Dior or better, one from a major house. If it weren’t for the hype of its false resemblance, it would pass without a trace. ‘They smell the same in the air,’ some say, well, it’s a matter of taste…
Tested this afternoon, it has an undeniable resemblance to EAU SAVAGE COLOGNE; the DNA is the same as the classic Dior one. Only tested in-store, the performance seems average, typical for Zara. Be careful comparing it to DHC; that’s not what it’s about, and you’ll be disappointed—it’s not even 50% similar. If you’re looking for something similar to Dior Homme Cologne but cheaper, go for Adolfo Dominguez Citrus Cedro instead.
Revitalizing! A burst of lemon at first that makes you want to bathe in it. I’m going to be heartbroken when Zara discontinues it; I’ve fallen in love. The longevity is regular, about 3 hours on skin and until the next day on clothes. Projection is good for the first hour, then fades, but it’s excellent for the gym or the office in the heat. I think this is a Zara gem that would explode in popularity if people talked about it more.
The free marketing of this Summer Breeze at the expense of Dior Homme Cologne will be studied in the future. They romanticize that the previous ones were similar to DHC and now present this as the new cheap dupe. False. It doesn’t draw inspiration from DHC nor evoke anything of it; they just share the bottle and citrus notes. If they want to call it a dupe, they should compare it to Xerjoff or Aqua di Parma. Dior is refined, bubbly, and clean; this Zara is a sharp, bitter citrus explosion with rough lime, grapefruit, and ugly lemon with ginger. It softens to become creamy and sweetish after a while, but it doesn’t last long (4-5 hours). In the end, it reminds me of Sunrise, but of much lower quality. You can’t fool people by saying it smells like Dior when they don’t share any chords. Dior defines with Calabria bergamot; this uses supermarket lime and lemon. It’s worth €20, but avoid blind buys. Without the hype, it would pass without making or breaking anything. Salu2
I have to say, I didn’t like anything about it… Another of Zara’s summer floor cleaners.
I can’t compare it to anything except Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, and they’re not alike. You can detect a faint background of Sunrise. At first, it’s an intense but not sweet citrus, like a floral lemonade. As it settles, it smells like orange Tic Tacs, not orange. The citrus reminds me of an old Cartier Declaration. On my skin, it lasts 4-5 hours, losing intensity after the first hour. I walked in without intending to buy it while browsing Vibrant Leather, but I ended up taking it. It’s fresh, youthful, energetic, and perfect for summer for €20.
I absolutely love it—super refreshing and energizing, it smells like the perfect fizzy lemonade, ideal for summer. It’s unisex, and I’m surprised it lasts 4-5 hours on skin and even until the next day on clothes; that’s rare for a citrus scent. The sprayer is generous, so it’s totally worth diving in given the price. To me, it reminds me of a glass of Sprite with ice and lemon.
In the opening, it smells totally like a bathroom/floor cleaning product, a very artificial lemon that I don’t think anyone can enjoy. Later, after 30 minutes, that smell fades significantly and leaves a clean and floral scent that is indeed pleasant. You have to get within less than 1 meter for others to smell it, but it’s a very good and summery scent. This is the aroma that remains until it disappears after about 3 to 4 hours. I haven’t heard the Vibrant Leather, but if it smelled like this but without that artificial and annoying lemon opening, it would be my choice over this. I can’t fathom how anyone could enjoy the opening of this perfume. I’m not sure if it’s worth 20€; for the rest, it’s not entirely bad. 6.5/10
Well gentlemen, this smells like Dior Homme Cologne like an egg to a chestnut. The opening gives me, along with the synthetic citrus, a cloying sweetness similar to peaches in syrup that radically distances it from the incredibly fresh and well-executed DHC lemons and limes just taken out of ice water. Perhaps Zara Vibrant Leather Cologne would resemble DHC; this one does not. By the dry-down at 4 hours, there isn’t such a big difference, but when held in two hands, both already close to the skin, DHC remains much more refreshing. Do you like DHC? Save up and buy it; it’s the only one that naturally simulates lemon and lime and incorporates neroli, petit grain, and the white flowers of 4711 to resemble DHC. Don’t look for alternatives that disappoint FOR NOW.
I hardly do reviews anymore, but I’ll summarize quickly: 75% Imagination and 25% Dior Homme Cologne. Regarding performance, about 5 hours, a bit more on clothes. For that price? I think it’s a huge hit for warm weather.
I almost don’t write reviews anymore (parenthood, laziness, and other things), but I’ll summarize quickly based on my subjectivity: 75% Imagination and 25% Dior Homme Cologne, just to give you an idea. Regarding performance, about 5 hours. Spraying on clothes lasts a bit longer, obviously, but I haven’t invented anything Chanel hasn’t. For that price? I think it’s a tremendous success for warm weather.
I must confess that this perfume surprised me in a good way. It has an effervescent opening, though not as much as Vetiver Pamplemousse, with a slightly synthetic start. However, after a few seconds, it gives way to a scent that, while not the most natural, isn’t excessively artificial either. Plus, it evolves. That purely citrusy and lemonade-like first impression gradually gives way to green nuances and a subtle touch of tangerine that adds warmth and rounds out the composition. It could seem like a typical cologne without longevity, but it surprises: it lasts quite well, especially considering the type of fragrance. In summary: a citrus cologne with quality and performance that far exceed its price. It sins a bit by being synthetic, but if you are aware of the style, it can be a blind buy.
Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze has nothing to do with Dior Homme Cologne. This one smells like a cleaning product or bug spray, while Dior Homme smells like real natural lemon.
It’s very similar to CK One Essence but with the sweetness of tonka bean, which makes it very pleasant and bright. I love it; it has a slightly synthetic opening like that powdered lemon candy, which disappears in 15 minutes and sweetens, making it very balanced. It lasts well; you can still feel it at the sixth hour.
Dior Homme Cologne and Imagination L.V. had a fling, got confused, and months later gave birth to this unrecognized daughter who ended up being adopted by Mr. Zara, who, like a good Pygmalion, turned her into a masterpiece for the heat and, to laugh at her biological parents’ expense, priced her at 19.90€. My ten points to Mr. Zara. TOP✓
Dior Homme Cologne and Imagination L.V. got mixed up and gave birth to this unrecognized daughter, adopted by Mr. Zara. Like a good Pygmalion, he turned her into a summer masterpiece, pricing it at €19.90, which makes the biological parents laugh. My ten stars to Mr. Zara. TOP✓
Starts very fresh and citrusy, with a chilled sensation and a smell of sweet, freshly squeezed lemon. After a few minutes, ginger appears, giving it a spicy and peppery twist. I couldn’t agree more with those who call it lemonade, but not the cheap supermarket kind, but the one served on a terrace or in a classy bar. As it dries down, it moves away from that lemonade, focusing on warmer notes; you can detect the amber and the tea drying out with a certain bitterness and sweetness. Regarding comparisons with Dior Homme Cologne, I don’t understand the reviews saying they are different; in my opinion, they are very similar, especially in the first hour. I have a decant of DHC, and although there are tiny differences, the scent is practically the same. After that first hour, it drifts further apart (though it still retains some similarity with DHC) and resembles the dry-down of Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes INTENSE (note: the Intense version, not the original) much more than Imagination as often claimed; the tea in Imagination is much fresher than in Summer Breeze, which leans warm and sweet. The longevity works well for me, about 8 hours on skin projecting for the first hour, then fading but still lingering on the skin. I tried it for the first time at 7:30 PM at Zara, and when I woke up the next day at 8:30 AM, it was still detectable if I brought my nose to my wrist. Rating: 8.5/10.
At first, the lemon sounded synthetic, and I didn’t understand why it was called Vibrant Leather, since the line is usually different. But applying it on skin at 39 degrees, I finally understood how great it is. It’s an excellent twist on the classic Vibrant Leather, as if they added 65% Acqua di Gio EDT (minus the marine notes) with tea and ginger, keeping the classic base in the background. It feels like an elegant citrus, though the longevity is disappointing: 3 to 4 hours with moderate projection (I guess the tea and ginger kick in right after spraying). It’s a hidden gem for hot days that will surprise more than one person.
Smells great and lasts, but it’s not good.
