Fame by Rabanne

My summer perfume, super fresh. It’s the only one I wear in this heat and humidity. On my skin, the mango disappears, leaving just the jasmine and vanilla, which is… synthetic, powdery. As a gourmand consumer, I’d dare say it doesn’t smell like ‘mmm delicious,’ which is why jasmine with a touch of sweetness (but not much) dominates on me. The bottle is gorgeous, like a dressed-up bottle, but the style doesn’t match the content; it should smell stronger, almost cocktail or evening vibes. Very meh 😐. I remember smelling it in a freeshop and thinking it was delicious; when gifted to me months later, it still smelled good but wasn’t the same. I never felt that first sensation again. It’s an ambivalent relationship for me; some days I want it, others I ignore it in my collection 😅. It’s for summer and daytime, or blended on the skin. The sillage is good, but longevity isn’t great, about 2 hours, which is its trail. It’s a good perfume, nothing more.

I can only say that as a perfume… it has a striking bottle and that’s it.

Sweet and creamy, Fame is a fragrance that feels and is perceived like a celebrity, even from its launch. After a few minutes, the mango is there; maybe it’s not the most realistic, but it perfectly accompanies a subtle citrus note that refuses to disappear. However, the true protagonists are its floral and creamy notes. The jasmine feels very opulent, while the vanilla’s sweetness breaks through to sweeten the heart. But what makes it delicious and special is the base, where frankincense and sandalwood give it that creamy, sensual touch that makes it so attractive. Due to its warmth and sensuality, Fame is ideal for a party or date. It’s not for daily wear, but for special occasions where you want to stand out. Although it leans heavily floral due to the jasmine, it’s worth it. 7.5/10

It’s an imposing perfume. I have the problem that perfumes don’t last for me, but this definitely saves the day; it lasts many hours on the skin and leaves your clothes with the scent. You can smell the jasmine and vanilla notes; it’s not cloying and has a sexy touch. I feel it projects much more in summer.

If there’s anything to say, it’s that it’s DELICIOUS. If you like sweet perfumes but not too cloying, it’s a huge yes!! I adore it too much. Anyway, I have to admit it’s not very long-lasting on the skin and doesn’t have much sillage for what it costs, but without a doubt, its scent conquered me!!

Finally, I finished the 80ml of FAME. It was a blind buy that seemed nice at first but turned MEH from day one. It’s just another generic perfume: jasmine, mango, and vanilla. The longevity is poor, and the sillage is non-existent. It’ll remain a memory as one of my worst blind buys.

It smells like a delicious mango and vanilla gummy. I’ll never get tired of smelling it, unlike the men’s version.

I liked it a lot from the start, and everyone tells me it smells great. It feels targeted at young women (around 18-25) for partying. It has a vibrant, cheerful mango opening that, in my opinion, could last a bit longer. Then a sweet, soft vanilla base that accompanies it from start to finish. In fact, that’s what remains after several hours: a subtle, sugary vanilla. Beyond being cheerful and sweet, it has a touch of sophistication thanks to the jasmine and incense, but not too much. It evokes festive and/or elegant attire, dark colors, jewelry, fun, and excitement. I’m a bit older and don’t party much, so I’m wearing it during the day in autumn to go out for drinks, shopping, or a walk. It lifts my mood and makes me feel coquettish. I wouldn’t wear it in enclosed spaces like an office, gym, or library.

It doesn’t smell like anything particular. I don’t know, it just doesn’t catch my attention. I don’t feel like it’s a perfume you wear and people say, ‘Aww, you’re wearing Fame.’ The same goes for the Parfum and Elixir versions; they all smell the same, and none stand out in any way.

I absolutely love how it smells. It has a sweet, smoky touch from the incense that’s super sexy and elegant. If it’s true that WOW isn’t super innovative, outside the ordinary, or unusual for demanding enthusiasts, then for me, as a beginner nose, I like it a lot. It’s linear, sweet, and slightly smoky. That said, it doesn’t last long on me—about 3 hours—but I boost it with the matching body cream and oil, and then it lasts much longer. Obviously, for the price you pay, you need a combo to make it last longer, maybe something you don’t like, but I don’t mind; I use it and get compliments.

The jasmine dominates everything, followed by vanilla and sandalwood. It sounds generic; maybe a young girl would wear it for going out or to work.

Pure tropical goodness… it smells like juicy, sexy mango with balanced bergamot and a smoky vanilla at the end, finishing with a hint of incense that adds class, plus a soft, fine jasmine. I love the mango, and it really shines here. I want it; it’s wonderful. The bottle isn’t ugly, but the packaging could be prettier.

It didn’t win me over. I wanted to believe it smelled like real mango, but it settles into a sticky, one-note sweet tropical scent without nuances. The longevity is poor, and the bottle is both ugly and uncomfortable. If you’re looking for something authentic to mango, try the Sexy Rio de Janeiro by MK.

This perfume is spectacular. Its fruity sweetness with a sophisticated touch creates a unique sensory experience. As a Paco Rabanne fan, it hasn’t disappointed me at all. Every time I wear it, I feel wrapped in elegance and charm. It’s an exceptional addition to my collection.

The bottle is gorgeous, but the perfume feels very common—nothing stands out or grabs attention. I wouldn’t buy it again. 7/10.
