  • Zara only lists bergamot, ginger, and cedar, but the box says there’s tangerine, neroli, lotus, wood, and ambroxan. The opening is a sparkling ginger that lasts 5 minutes, then the tangerine adds a bit of sweetness. After 30 minutes, the neroli, lotus, and that ozony note I detect come out. The wood is in the base, and the ambroxan adds body. It’s unisex, for spring-summer and daytime only—nothing for night. To make it last 4-5 hours, you have to overapply. It reminds me of Zara’s Metallic Spirit. I guess the name ‘Leather’ is just for sales; nothing to do with the other fragrance.

  • I don’t get Zara’s strategy: they have the original Vibrant Leather, then release rebranded versions like ‘From NY to Paris,’ ‘Cologne,’ and now ‘Summer,’ which is the same thing. It seems like they want to retain customers by selling the same scent every year. The perfume smells great for the price, but there’s nothing new.

It’s literally the Vibrant Leather Cologne in a different bottle. It has a citrus opening I love; the bergamot reveals the ginger after 10 minutes, then it stays just like that, which isn’t bad. After 6 hours, it’s still right up against the skin. I spray it 8 to 10 times because it’s cheap ($17). Projection is average—you can smell it from a meter away. It’s 98% identical to Dior Homme but lasts a bit less. Very good, I’d repurchase.

I walked through the mall and spotted the Dior Homme Cologne Sport; surprise, it smells exactly like the Zara one. The Zara version projects stronger and lasts longer, costing 20€ versus the original’s 80€. They’re a 10/10 clone, but the only flaw is that it starts smelling like lemon disinfectant—it’s so intense it overwhelms your senses for 30 minutes before settling down.

It’s a pure citrus blast, like someone just sprayed lemon on you straight out of the bottle; it’s sharp and can be slightly irritating if overused. It has decent longevity but weak projection, though after 4 hours, the cedar emerges, making it pleasant and masculine. Perfect for hot days, the pool, or casual office wear. Nothing spectacular, but a solid decent offering from Zara’s best bottles.

I agree with the previous reviewer: my girlfriend gifted me the set, and when I tried the Summer, I was blown away by its resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne. On my skin, it lasted over 6 hours, and my partner could still smell it after I washed my hands. For under $23, you get something worth nearly $100, so I’m using it to alternate with the original and save money. An absolute steal! When I bought it again a month later, it was on sale for 350 pesos. I use it regularly and it never disappoints. My tip: spray a little on your shirt to make it last longer. It evolves very little, but I don’t mind. Great scent.

I just bought it, and it’s an intense, strong citrus at first—I only detect bergamot and ginger, the latter giving it a constant freshness. It’s simple and linear, but a work of art from Zara. I can still smell it on my wrist after 4 hours; I only sprayed it twice, yet many people asked about the scent. Some younger girls didn’t like it, so it’s more for mature people who know what they want.

My girlfriend gifted me a Zara set, and when I tried the Vibrant Leather Summer, I was blown away: it smells identical to Dior Homme Cologne. On my skin, it lasted over 6 hours, and even after washing my hands several times, my partner could still smell it. For under $23, you get something worth nearly $100, so I’m using it to alternate with the original and save money. An absolute steal!

  • An endless symphony of citrus from the very first spray. I used to wear CK One and thought it was one of the best citrus scents, but that was because I hadn’t tried this Zara one. It projects, lasts, and is more delicious than the CK version. It’s my faithful companion whenever the heat turns up. A wonder I can’t believe I lived without until now. And of course, this Vibrant Summer is the same as the Vibrant Cologne; Zara just changed the name, even the bottle is identical.

  • I’m currently using it and find it marvelous. The opening is a sharp lemon that smells more like citronella to me, mixed with the bitter, spicy kick of ginger for an hour, before giving way to a light, enveloping geranium and neroli blend where it softens but doesn’t disappear. After hours, the scent begins to fade into a subtle woody nuance of cedar. Undoubtedly a clean, crisp aroma, uncomplicated and always earning compliments without fail; I would buy it again. A vanilla base would have made it slightly more sophisticated. It has very good longevity and a perfect trail over a meter; if there’s wind and heat, you get little sparks of lemon.

  • It’s the same fragrance as VLC and, in turn, the same as From Paris To New York, which was truly Zara’s first with this scent. Back then I bought FPTNY and still have half a bottle left; testing them together, I notice perhaps a minimal difference, giving the impression of a stronger citrus opening in FPTNY and a fresher citrus in VLS. I’m not sure if it’s due to the age of the first version and the scent having changed slightly, or if they aren’t exactly the same; in any case, the differences are minimal if they exist at all. With this fragrance, Zara has hit the nail on the head again: a simple but completely addictive scent that is a must-have for spring and especially summer; for me, it’s a wardrobe staple. The opening is a mix of lemon and mandarin, both very present, quickly giving way to hints of ginger, a note I personally love, which together create a feeling of freshness, cleanliness, and pleasantness, as if recharging your energy, very revitalizing and what I think makes it addictive. As it dries down, you start to perceive some ambroxan and woods. Longevity is good; in my case, it reaches about 6 or 7 hours, obviously the last part without projection and closer to the skin. As advice, be careful with application zones; don’t overdo it on areas closer to the nose since the opening is so intense with citrus that it can be overwhelming in the first few minutes, turning a delight into something suffocating. Totally recommended fragrance for scent, longevity, and of course, price.

This fragrance exceeded my expectations. It’s simple and very reliable, featuring an almost bitter, acidic, slightly soapy lemon note that gives the sensation of freshly laundered clothes; it’s not annoying or intrusive at all. It doesn’t evolve much, but after 30 minutes the lemon acidity fades, leaving the ginger note clearer with the bitter citrus undertone. If you know Dior Homme Cologne, it serves as a perfect reference because it’s almost exactly the same. It evokes being in an air-conditioned office, making it perfect for that situation. I really like it; it was a blind buy.

I’ve tried VLC several times in-store and liked it. I was waiting for the heat and a possible sale to get it, but when it disappeared from the website and I saw this new Summer version with similar comments and a price drop, I went for it. In my opinion, it does resemble VLC, especially in the dry down, but it’s not 100% the same scent; the opening is less citrusy, still noticeable but not that strong lemon hit of the previous one, not quite as impactful. Last night I sprayed three times at home upon opening the box, and this morning at 9 AM I could still smell it, though very, very faint. I don’t know how it will perform outdoors in good weather, though I expect it will cut it. I got it for €12.99 and I’m happy with the purchase, although I miss some of the punch I mentioned before; it’s a matter of applying more, but it’s a great spring-summer option with a lovely scent, almost identical to DHC but much cheaper.

  • Chavez20@

I think it’s a great summer scent. It projects really well for the first two hours, then fades completely within a maximum of six hours if worn indoors. The price-to-quality ratio seems acceptable since I’ve had perfumes costing double or triple the price with worse performance. I wouldn’t buy it again because there are still so many perfumes I haven’t tried, but I have zero regrets owning it.

  • Like its siblings, Vibrant Leather Cologne or the original From Paris to New York. Identical to the reviews I’ve already written for those. HOWEVER…… I won’t forgive ZARA for, despite being identical in scent, lasting less than half as long on skin as its predecessors. I applied From Paris to one hand and this Summer to the other; after two hours, this one had vanished while the discontinued original lasted six hours. Unforgivable.

  • Just arrived. First impression is strong mandarin and ginger… a hint of wood in the dry down. Eventually, after several hours, only a subtle woody note remains close to the skin. Moderate longevity… will see as I use it more… Moderate projection (closer to light). Very rich scent. Fresh, that ginger touch… Incredible… Has personality, since unlike VL, it doesn’t resemble any other standout perfume. A good affordable option.

  • Very summery, I wear it with white or light-colored clothes, imagining myself under the sun strolling or enjoying a cold drink. It’s simple and linear, with that familiar Vibrant Leather touch but distinct enough not to be confused with the original. Bergamot takes the lead here; while I’m not usually a huge fan of it on its own, it shines in this fragrance, paired with ginger for a fresh, spicy kick. Lasting power on skin is excellent, and the projection is typical Zara… I grabbed the big bottle on sale for €12 and plan to use it a lot this summer, though I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase since I usually stick with the original Vibrant Leather when shopping at Zara.

  • oguhlegna

I liked it quite a bit and at a ridiculous price… I like that it’s not as sharp as the Cologne, for example. To grab it without hesitation, it’s a bit more than 12 euros for 120 ml. You can reapply without issues if it doesn’t last long enough; totally recommended.

  • Fanperfumero

Incredibly rich. For me, it’s Dior Homme Cologne in a different bottle: fresh, citrusy, and very long-lasting (almost 8 hours), which is hard to find in a Cologne. This perfume could cost $50, and I’d happily pay it; too bad it’s already out of stock.

  • Ozymandias

The opening has its quirks; it smells like those home air freshener sprays my housewives used to use in my childhood. An irritating and horrible smell. Zara calls it “bergamot.” Who knows. Then that artificial, irritating hysteria moderates, and only a nauseating smell of cheap cologne remains—the kind older ladies used to wear, which brings me memories of taking the bus to the pool or to the Retiro in the summer. The ginger isn’t there, or maybe only appears at the very end during the dry-down. I don’t even see it as unisex; for me, it’s a woman’s scent.

  • daniiecrowley

The first time I tried it, I was shocked; it smelled like a floor cleaner, those super citrusy ones. A day later, I had an outdoor summer event with 31 degrees and a heat index of 38, and what a surprise—it’s the best Zara fragrance I’ve tried so far. To be honest, it lasted 7 hours on my skin and was still projecting very weakly or at a personal bubble, yet I could still smell it. It’s crazy because I bought it at a mega discount for 248 Mexican pesos, about $10-11, so it’s excellent. Scent: 8, Longevity: 10, Sillage: 9, Price: 10, Final Rating: 9.2. Note: I later discovered why I had an initial rejection; I tested it right next to a pedestal fan, and it blasted the whole thing right in my face.

  • YES SIR!! This is the Vibrant Leather that goes with me. A super citrusy and revitalizing aroma that I love to wear during the hottest times of the year. It’s refined and elegant, yet extroverted, making you feel full of energy. They say it’s similar to Dior Homme Cologne and Zara Vibrant Leather Cologne; I don’t know either of them, but just so you know. It also performs very well, especially compared to the poor longevity of the original Vibrant Leather on my skin. Although it’s masculine, I recommend women try it because it seems 100% unisex to me. Basically, it’s a highly recommended fragrance that I suggest everyone try at least once, because knowing Zara, it’ll be on the discontinued list sooner or later. • Very citrusy aroma where ginger is also noticeable, very rich and revitalizing, well worth it especially considering the price this brand offers.

  • If you’re thinking of buying it, the first thing is that it has nothing to do with the classic VL; this flanker only has the name because of the hype, yet it manages to carve out its own spot without diminishing what it offers in summer. It opens with a sharp bitter note, like a freshly cut orange with juice, feeling strong for a few minutes before that sharpness fades, leaving a lighter scent that gives way to a more delicate but citrusy aroma. I’d say it feels a bit sour, but it doesn’t clash. Longevity is good and it’s noticeable up close; I don’t know the Dior cologne it’s compared to, but the Zara VL Summer is a rich and solid option. It even has a touch of Terre d’Hermès to me, feeling like a earthy citrus. If you like sharp citrus, this flanker (which isn’t really one) is a pretty and affordable option. Good for over-applying, preferably in climates of 28 degrees or higher.

  • Maître Venus

I’m writing about this fragrance again because I just made a discovery. While walking through a department store and approaching the Dior section, I noticed an almost perfect similarity to another Dior fragrance, not “Dior Homme Cologne,” but “Eau de Sauvage Cologne.” In fact, I find that “Vibrant Leather Summer” resembles this one more than Dior Homme Cologne. I want to share this because I always thought the Eau de Sauvage line was for older men, so I recommend young people try it. Cheers.

  • Fresh, fresh, fresh. It’s citrusy and very refreshing, ideal for hot days, like you just stepped out of the shower; it renews you and lifts your mood. For a summer scent, the longevity is excellent with a moderate sillage that garners compliments. Perfect for relaxing with friends, walking, shopping, being outdoors, or indoors. The notes are well-blended; it’s a soft, elegant, and attractive EDP. It’s masculine but also unisex. The price-to-quality ratio is great, so I recommend it. If you like summer citrus, buy it blind.

  • At first, it didn’t do anything for me, but then the compliments started rolling in and I learned to love it. Fresh and elegant, it’s my go-to for summer, the pool, the beach, or extreme heat. I recommend more than 6 sprays; it performs best on clothes.

  • BwFraganlover

With this fragrance, I thought I didn’t like the lemonade accord, until I discovered the spectacular Allure Elixir Blanche and realized what I didn’t like was this perfume. If this is how Dior Homme Cologne smells, then I don’t like it. God’s plan 🦉

  • Freddocardona

It’s pure lemon, but synthetic; honestly, it smells like Fabuloso, so I relegated it to the gym because for me, it smells like nothing else but floor cleaner…

  • Last year I ran out of this fragrance after trying it, and this year I grabbed the last bottle in the province. It’s citrus and more citrus; if you like lemon and the spicy acidity of ginger, it’s a great option for the price. I don’t detect the cedar; for me, it’s an ‘overdose of ginger’. Years ago they had something very similar, almost ginger + citrus. It’s a simple fragrance, not a simple one, ideal after the beach, the gym, a shower, or before bed. On my skin, it has strong initial projection and lasts 3-4 hours before fading to a pleasant skin scent. I understand those who say it smells like disinfectant or cleaner; the ginger can give that effect. At this price, it’s a must-have for summer. Edit: I took it off after a season because the ginger overdose made me nauseous…

  • 2021 batch made in A Coruña, a marvel at 8 euros for 120ml. Lasts like a rock; I left a shirt in a hotel and the next day, the scent was brutal. It’s potent, projects, and lasts. Smells like orange peel, bergamot, and ginger; it’s like sticking your nose in a well-chilled gin tonic with lemon and fizzy tonic, but amplified. It’s sharp, acute, and super citrusy, nothing sweet. It resembles Dior Homme Cologne but with major differences; it makes Acqua di Gio look weak in power and longevity. I made the mistake of over-spraying (thought it was the same as the regular ZVL) and got dizzy. I find it super refreshing for the gym, beach walks, tapas, or right after a shower (though it doesn’t smell like body wash). My 23-year-old girlfriend likes it more than the regular ZVL. 3-5 sprays are plenty.

  • What a gem! This is cleanliness and freshness in a bottle. Purely citrus with a slight woody touch. As for longevity and projection, in my case, it lasts over 8 hours.

  • To me, it smells like tangerine: a soft, sweet, non-pungent citrus. You can detect the ginger touch, but it’s subtle, and I don’t pick up on the wood. The formula is simple but doesn’t smell like cheap cologne. It lasts longer on me in warm weather: about 2 hours of projection, then 4-5 hours close to the skin (with the 2021 batch; I don’t know if they reformulated). It’s the typical summer cologne I wear with a linen shirt to the beach or for a short walk; it’s pleasant and gets good acceptance, though I wouldn’t use it at night. Lasts days on clothes. If you like the smell of tangerine, you’ll like this.

  • A perfectly executed clone of Dior Homme Cologne. It’s a joy to wear in summer, though I use it on any occasion, even in cold environments. From the start, there’s a sharp, energizing ginger note, then it transitions to a clean, musky aroma. Out of all I know, nothing gives that sense of cleanliness. I love spraying it on freshly made clean sheets. On my skin, it has more than acceptable longevity for its type. Too bad Zara discontinued it, though they’ll probably relaunch it under a new name; it wouldn’t be the first time.

  • Smells fresh and citrusy, leaning more towards tangerine. It’s a family-friendly scent for everyone. Notable performance, so it works for showering, working, or going out. In short, an orange version of Dior Homme Cologne.

  • It’s a beast of a performer that makes people ask what you’re wearing. Very similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but this one is punchier and I prefer it. Too bad they stopped selling it 😢. It has exquisite fresh notes: a citrus and cedar combo that work wonders, adding elegance that women love. 1000 x 1000 recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️
