The opening is sweet, dry, and ambered, very pleasant. It has that note of opening a bag of fine tobacco, with that strong, spicy touch of shade-cured leaves. It’s interesting, though it ends up being a bit linear.
Disappointed. I bought it blindly based on the good reviews. On me, it’s neither intense, nor dark, nor exclusive. It smells good, but nothing special. I prefer its adopted brother. I’ll use it, but when it runs out, I won’t be buying it again.
Today with fresh weather in Buenos Aires and testing it out, I have to say it smells great. The opening is citrusy, dry, and a bit sweet. Someone said it smells like opening a bag of fine tobacco, and they’re right. As a pipe smoker, it’s very similar to black Virginia tobacco… rich, sweet, and with a smoky sensation (even though I don’t declare it). It’s like when you open a pouch of tobacco and the aroma fills the house like an air freshener. Manly and delicious. Good perfume and excellent price, with moderate to lasting longevity and a moderate trail.
The dry-down reminds me a lot of Armani Code Profumo, though with a tobacco accord and slightly less intensity. It seems like a good perfume for its price. Scent 9, longevity 8, trail 6, value 10, overall impression 8.
Similar to Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP, but be careful, it’s not the same. You can really smell the tobacco. Longevity doesn’t pass two hours; it’s meant to be worn and reapplied at least twice a day.
If you’re looking for something similar to 212 VIP without a doubt, Natura Amò is the most faithful. It’s the clone at an unbeatable price. Either you buy the 100ml 212 VIP, or for the same money, you get five 75ml bottles of Natura Amò. Excellent option.
This is the fragrance that has brought me the most compliments. The price is unbeatable and super affordable. I’d buy it a thousand times; it will always have a spot in my collection. I’m giving it a 10 across the board.
Super rich. Smells like Carolina Herrera 212 VIP but with a juicier, more elegant opening. Once it dries down, it’s 98% identical to the original. The trail and longevity are similar, maybe just a tiny bit shorter. Like everything from Zara, the price is an absolute steal, though it’s not eternal. For about $18, it’s worth it if you can’t quite afford the real deal. Verdict: Scent 9.5/10, trail 7/10, longevity 7/10, price 10/10. Final score 8.3. If 212 VIP is too pricey, this is the best option.
The first time I tried it, I wrote a really bad review of this Zara fragrance, deleted it, and now I’m back to share my experience. Honestly, the first time I didn’t like it much; it didn’t smell bad, but it wasn’t the delight the videos claimed. Well, friends, as I kept using it, I started to like it more and more. It doesn’t drive me crazy, but it no longer disgusts me. I smell it as brightened with tobacco notes and something sweet without being cloying. They say it’s the clone of Carolina Herrera 212 VIP, but I’ve never tried the other one, so I don’t know. To get a moderate trail, you need to be generous with the sprays; I apply 6-8 and it lasts 4-6 hours, projecting for the first hour and a half at most one arm’s length. Should I recommend it? Yes, but I always say try it in a Zara store first and see how it goes. It’s affordable and you can’t expect it to perform like a €40 fragrance, but yes, it’s worth it. My advice is to buy it in a pack with the other one; it comes to about €17.95.
The first time I tried it, I wrote a very bad review and deleted it, but I’m ready to describe it again. The truth is I didn’t like it much at first; it didn’t smell bad, but with videos saying it was a delight, I kept using it and it’s grown on me more and more. It doesn’t drive me crazy, but I no longer dislike it. I feel it’s aldehydic with tobacco notes and something sweet without being cloying. I’ve already received several compliments with this fragrance; it was a blind buy due to the good comments on Zara’s Tobacco collection. On my skin, it had excellent performance. It’s very similar to 212 VIP, but as it dries down, I feel it’s more mature, dark, and less youthful. PS: I think I’ll buy another bottle before they discontinue it or alter its composition (Zara are specialists in this).
I bought it yesterday; it was a blind purchase based on the reviews circulating on social media lately. The first impression is good, it has a nice opening, and it reminds me a lot of Jesús del Pozo’s Halloween Man. In the end, after two hours on my skin, it leaves a faint resemblance to CH’s 212 VIP. If your expectations are high regarding longevity and projection, keep in mind that it’s not there. However, in terms of value for money, this perfume delivers on the three B’s: good, beautiful, and cheap.
I picked it up yesterday, buying blindly based on the reviews circulating on social media. The first impression is good, it has a nice opening, and it reminds me a lot of Halloween Man by Jesús del Pozo. In the end, after 2 hours on skin, it leaves a slight resemblance to CH’s 212 VIP. If you’re expecting beastly duration and projection, count on it not being so. But in terms of price-performance, it delivers on the 3 Bs: Good, Beautiful, and Cheap.
I bought the pack with this fragrance and the Rich Warm Addictive from 2016 yesterday. Let me tell you, the Intense Dark Exclusive smells identical to Joop Wild Homme, which also carries rum. The only thing I can confirm is that Joop Wild lasts longer and is more potent.
Lately, I’ve been trying low-cost fragrances, and honestly, they haven’t failed me; some have even caught me off guard. With this Zara Tobacco Intense Dark Exclusive, it smells good, though it’s not a rocket ship in projection, you can tell. You have to reapply every 2 or 3 hours because the trail is very faint. It reminds me of 212 VIP, but this one hooks me more… they aren’t identical, they follow the same line. It would be great if it were more potent and long-lasting, and for the price, it’s a mistake not to have it. I’ll buy another because I liked it, and since it runs out quickly due to reapplications, I think they designed it that way so you keep buying it. Scent: 8.0, Projection: 4.0, Longevity: 6-8h max (4-5h on skin).
It smells like some dry herb I can’t quite identify, I think it’s marjoram. It’s pleasant and strange, not a typical perfume. At first, it’s more masculine, but as it dries down, it becomes totally unisex. Pity that in the end, it gives me a headache.
It caught me off guard: I wore it with Roch Warm Addictive (a total disappointment) and I loved this one. It’s very masculine, fresh, and woody, with nothing outdated. The fixations and trail could be better, but for the price, it’s worth it.
It doesn’t reach the level of its sister, RWA, but it’s a pleasant fragrance that makes you grateful to wear it, very close to 212 VIP in scent and performance. Projects well for the first 6 hours. What stands out most is the apple with tonka bean and a touch of tobacco, which accompany without stealing the spotlight. It feels more youthful than adult, ideal for fresh days and nights, spring and autumn. Good purchase, though a bit generic.
It doesn’t smell exactly like 212 Vip, but it’s incredibly close; a top-tier option at an absurd price, especially since it comes as a duo with RWA, which is Zara’s king for me. Average performance. The 212 Vip scent is already very well-known, so its ubiquity is obvious, and in my opinion, it loses freshness over the years; it’s not timeless like Versace Pour Homme, for example. Totally worth it for the quality-price ratio. God’s plan 🦉
At first, it didn’t impress me, but once I put it on, I was hooked. I absolutely love the tobacco note. The only downside is that on my skin, it fades in three hours.
These are first impressions, not a full review. In my country, it’s spring with 30-degree heat, so I won’t test it thoroughly, but I’ve used it on nights after a shower. What I perceive most is the tobacco and a fresh fruity note, which I assume is the apple, sustained by a non-invasive vanilla (I appreciate it, even though it’s not one of my favorite notes). In the initial, mid, and final phases, what stands out is the tobacco and vanilla, making it hard to distinguish other notes, though a very attenuated fresh touch remains. I think it’s a good option for winter, intermediate seasons, and summer nights below 25 degrees; that fresh touch makes it more versatile. It lasted about 6 hours with 3 or 4 sprays and projected moderately for at least 1 or 2 hours. I’ll test it more to properly evaluate performance, but given the price and the mentioned performance, I’m satisfied. I liked it a lot from the first spray, and that initial fresh touch gives it a plus that I adored.
I own many Zara perfumes, and the Tobacco collection is my favorite.
It’s simply very good, tobacco/apple.
For the price, you can’t ask for more: it’s dispensable but pleasant. You need to spray 15-20 times on skin and clothes to get any trail, though it projects no more than a meter. With that, after half an hour, it sits close to the skin. I insist, for the price you can’t expect more, so you’ll need to reapply every hour or two. The scent is very good: tobacco, apple, and a hint of mint. Final rating: 7/10.
For the price, you can’t expect more. In two words: dispensable yet pleasant. You need to spray 15-20 times on skin and clothes to generate a trail, but it projects no more than a meter. With that, after 30 minutes, it’s skin scent. I insist, for the price, you can’t ask for more; you’ll need to reapply every 1-2 hours. The aroma is very good: tobacco, apple, and a hint of mint. Final note: 7/10
Fresh and masculine fragrance from the start, with green apple and pepper as the stars. As it dries down, its herbal character of freshly cut green tobacco emerges with a slight sweet undertone. Performance is average; it lasted me over 8 hours with good intensity, though its weak point is the projection. In my opinion, it’s a daily scent and very enjoyable in any weather. I was gifted it, and it’s now at the top of my collection…
Aroma practically identical to Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP. Like all Zara perfumes, quality goes hand-in-hand with the low price, but they offer good taste.
It doesn’t resemble 212 VIP at all.
Rich aroma with good longevity of 5 to 6 hours, but it has become very similar to CH 212 VIP MEN, lacking the passionfruit note.
It tries to copy 212 VIP MEN with distinct nuances but remains very similar. Smells rich, masculine, and for the price, you can’t ask for more. Low projection makes it less invasive than the original, which can be overwhelming. It’s softer; up close, it surprises with its character depending on your skin (I only noticed it at very close range). I give it an 8 for the price and scent. It’s a very well-executed replica with slight differences that aren’t bad. The only downside is the projection. It’s a daily winter scent.
It’s a clone of Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP MEN, or at least it hits the same DNA. Smells great for winter with a subtle trail. Notes of green apple and tobacco. A cheap option for the cold. 7/10
