Have you worn Tobacco Collection Intense Dark Exclusive 2021?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. The scent is pretty average, with mediocre projection and almost non-existent longevity—barely lasts two hours. To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason, though it might work for some if you don’t mind reapplying every couple of hours. I get why someone would buy it for the ‘unique’ vibe, but it’s not for everyone. Personally, I didn’t like it (and I’ve stopped wearing it); it smells like fresh vanilla on the skin and comes across as a bit unpleasant, although it could suit someone else.

After letting it mature for over a year and a half and testing it thoroughly, I confirm: it doesn’t last at all. It’s a waste of money, no matter how cheap it is. Same philosophy as Zara: tempting you with a flood of products at low prices but lacking quality and durability. Good if you want to collect little scents, bad if you’re trying to wear perfume and make a conscious purchase.

I had it, and it absolutely doesn’t last. The scent is nice, but it’s not worth buying given its poor longevity.

Yes, I have it because it came in the pack with Rich Warm Addictive. It’s an almost imperceptible apple note with a sweet base that doesn’t last long. It projects for an hour with a weak sillage, after which you have to get right up close to smell it. In winter, it does nothing, despite being sweet. It feels more like a daytime scent than an evening one. I don’t think it’s worth buying on its own.

TOBACCO COLLECTION INTENSE DARK EXCLUSIVE ZARA: A good fragrance from Zara, with a youthful-adult-sexy party vibe that plays decently with Carolina Herrera 212 VIP. The only downside is its weak projection; it lacks punch… (the ‘Intense’ is just in the name). It smells fresh, vanilla-scented, sexy, fun, pleasant, and suggestive. It’s a great option for dates, though you need to overapply to get the performance you expect. Suitable for late day and night use; I think night is its best time. Even though it doesn’t project much, you can still smell it up close for about two hours, and then it lingers on the skin for another six hours. Given the pleasant aroma, it might be worth it, but the performance is disappointing. Cost-performance ratio: acceptable. Scent: 10/10. Projection: 3/10. Longevity: max 6 hours. Recommended.

  6. I wouldn’t say it’s bad. Maybe its weak point is performance, something that rarely stands out in most Zara scents. It has a soft and rich aroma. It’s a good pair with Rich Warm Addictive, although the latter stands out much more.

  7. Maurilloo

Well, I think many of us have this because it comes in the pack with Rich Warm Addictive. Compared to that, the Intense Dark Exclusive has no presence and doesn’t last at all on the skin. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch or if it’s always like this. It’s way too faint. I can spray it 20 times and it’s gone in minutes, which doesn’t happen with Rich Warm Addictive; with 12 or 15 sprays, it lasts three hours or more and stays on clothes for days. It’s curious they say it’s for winter, but given the lack of staying power, I feel it’s more for summer. In conclusion, you have to choose your Zara perfumes wisely, as some last hours and smell incredible, while others are very weak. I also have Sand Desert at Sunset EDT, and that one projects a lot for hours.

  8. A fragrance very similar to CH 212 VIP MAN, but much weaker and with poor fixation. You have to overapply every two hours.

  9. Cocofranel

So, it’s basically a clone of Enrique del Pozo’s Halloween Man X for much less money. The interesting thing is that in the first listing it lists coffee notes, while Zara lists tobacco notes.

  10. Josué González Céspedes

A four-season fragrance, smells delicious, and despite being so cheap, it’s a wonder of perfumery.

This fragrance is so rich I wondered if it’s a clone of 212 VIP Men for better longevity. I haven’t tried the VIP, but I notice the apple here is strong, whereas VIP features passionfruit. It’s a cheerful, complete scent: the crispness of apple paired with tonka bean and pepper gives it a serious edge. Too bad it doesn’t last long—about 3 hours with weak projection. If it weren’t for that, it would be my go-to for any day, just not for special events. If there were a premium version with better longevity, I’d buy it without hesitation; it smells very unique.

I was looking for cheap winter scents and saw Zara’s rankings where Rich Warm Addictive is top-rated, but reviews for this one are mixed. The good: it opens with delicious apple and pepper, and dries down to sweet tonka bean and leather (even though it’s not listed). It’s one of my favorites. The bad: many complain they can’t detect the tobacco, which doesn’t bother me, but others do. Without that note, the dry-down is generic, and everyone smells the same on the subway. Cons: the apple fades after two hours, leaving just soft leather. If you buy the kit, it’s worth it for the price; if buying just this one, not so much.

It’s decent. I bought it because it came in a combo with the other, which is amazing, though this one lacks longevity and the scent doesn’t fully compensate for that shortness.

Between the two in the pack, I choose this one. It has few notes and seems simpler, but it’s incredibly rich, sweet, and addictive from the first moment.

  16. According to others, the longevity and projection are poor, and I confirm that I arrived late. I bought the pack in 2024 and both smell faint and last nothing. For €22, I expected it to be worth it, but it was throwing money away. Another hype disappointment, and my fault for not testing it properly beforehand.

  17. Such a rich scent 😍. The opening is a bit strong, but once it dries down, it becomes amazing. It keeps sweet notes with a green touch. Lasts over 8 hours. 100% recommended.

  18. I bought this one first, but I was looking for something darker for winter, so I went for its sister, the Rich Warm Exclusive. I even returned it, thinking the other one was enough for cold weather. I didn’t forget its scent; it had something that hooked me, even though I said I only wanted something dark. After months of being happy with the other, I couldn’t wait and grabbed the two-pack. For the price, it’s the best option. This one has light apple, spices, and tonka bean, super addictive and modern. It’s fresh, but only for winter, not for heat. It smells delicious and has character, maybe not for everyone, especially if you only like citrus. Without a doubt, the best Zara collection; the pack makes a lot of sense because they complement each other. Lasts 8 hours on skin, but projection is weak, staying close to the skin for two hours. Scent: the strong point, delicious. If I recommend them, yes, absolutely!

There’s not much to add about the scent, but yes about the longevity: on my skin, it easily lasts over 8 hours and you can tell. Really surprised by the performance of this low-cost fragrance.

Didn’t work for me. I bought it with Rich Warm Addictive, which has great performance, is sweet and spicy. I don’t know 212 VIP, but it reminds me of One Million, which I also don’t like. I just can’t handle it.

I’ve had this fragrance for months and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. I bought it in a set with Rich Warm Addictive and paid a bit more than buying them individually, but it’s worth it. It’s pleasant, simple, and linear; what I notice from start to finish is the crisp, slightly acidic, and not-too-sweet green apple. Its trail is contained and lasts about 5 hours on my skin. I’d use it for personal enjoyment or casual daytime events, even for sports. It’s not excessively fresh or warm, so it’s versatile, though I lean toward using it in heat because it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The only thing I don’t like is the name, because the scent doesn’t seem dark, intense, or exclusive. In short, it’s friendly and pleasant, without many surprises, but for the price, especially in a set, it’s recommended. A hug from Argentina.

  24. Concluding my reviews on this iconic Zara collection (in my opinion, Tobacco is the best this house has ever had), this variation is, as already said, the opposite of Rich Warm. There’s a delicate sweetness accompanying the structure, but it’s light and fleeting; it’s the pepper and tonka bean that give it its personality. It’s not a novel chord structure, as it also reminds of other legends, but it’s very well executed and truly worth buying both Tobacco versions for the price, although I personally prefer Rich Warm. I don’t consider it more versatile than Rich Warm, but rather it’s the type of fragrance you’d use at the office or a formal meeting, while the first is more unstructured, delicious, sexual, and open to different types of occasions.

It’s the one they’re selling in stores right now. It feels very close to Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP, keeping in mind performance differences, but the scent is spot-on; the opening is almost impossible to distinguish from the original. Great value for the price. Totally recommended.

Exquisite fresh and slightly sweet perfume. The Tobacco Collection Intense-Dark-Exclusive is the opposite of Rich Warm, which is super creamy and sweet. This one is fresh with sweet notes, perfect for hot weather. The longevity is wow: perfumes usually don’t last on me due to my pH, but I sprayed it at 6 am for work and felt bursts of the scent all day. It lasts so well that I could still smell it right on my skin at 10 pm when I went to bed. Truly a Zara bomb. This pack must be in your collection; I think both have projection and longevity far superior to other Zara scents. As a side note, I tested Till 3am and Till 8pm in the store in the morning, and by night I could still smell them right on my skin, which didn’t happen with the Vibrant Leather line.

Smells really good. If it had better longevity or projection, it would be up there with Zara’s top tier, but as it stands, it’s good but feels a bit half-baked. I imagine many people try it just because it comes in a pack with Rich Warm.
