Descripción
The One Mysterious Night by Dolce&Gabbana is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition features a structured three-stage olfactory pyramid: the top notes unfold with saffron and grapefruit; the heart reveals a harmony of rose, oud wood, and heliotrope; while the base settles on amber, precious woods, labdanum, and tonka bean, signed by the Italian fashion house.

Oriental fragrance with a rose and saffron opening. To my nose, it’s not that typical ‘metallic’ rose; the grapefruit lightens it up. The oud is imperceptible; I know it’s synthetic, but not in a bad way. In the drydown, the woods don’t dominate; tonka is the queen. It’s rich, balanced, unisex, and intimate. It doesn’t project much: on my skin, it creates a one-meter bubble for the first two hours, then stays skin-close by hour four. It didn’t surprise me, but it’s also not normal. There are few designer fragrances with this style. I liked it.
Incredible quality fragrance; anyone would think it’s niche. You can tell from the first second: it starts with very soft saffron, then moves to the rose, VERY prominent and long-lasting. It has a great trail, although if you’re not careful, it invades a bit. Just one detail: the rose is so present it gives it a more feminine touch, so for my nose and my partner’s, it’s totally unisex. I got lucky with the luxury 10ml set. Try it if you can find it. Quality 10/10, Scent 9/10, Projection 8/10. Lasts about 9-10 hours on skin and over 24 on clothes.
I hated it. I expected something bolder. It turns out to be an extremely feminine unisex scent, made for ladies over 60. If the ingredients explode, it smells like new baby diapers mixed with a cinnamon candle. Seriously, the packaging is very misleading.
So happy, what a shame D&G didn’t release this here. They tire us out with replicas that last a mere breath just to take our money. Tremendous perfume: rose and oud with saffron, all very well blended and top quality. The oud is soft and adds class. As it dries, the rose oxidizes, leaving a smoky, amber base where it lingers. It’s not quite the original The One, though the drydown has its charms, it’s quite different. Very elegant, lasts a long time, and projects strongly for the first hour. The bottle is gorgeous. It resembles Carolina Herrera Insignia more than Toy Boy. The only flaw is the price and difficulty finding it, though it is available at duty-free in the Orient, and the 100ml size makes it very appealing.
Great perfume. It’s not linear; it has three distinct phases. It’s a very wearable oud. I don’t feel it’s feminine like some say. Excellent purchase.

So delicious! Masculine, woody, powdery, and very oriental scent. For romantic dates, cool nights, and close encounters, this is a 10/10. The rose-oud combo is easy to wear, so 100% recommended (just don’t buy blindly). Longevity and projection are above average: 8 hours and 1.5 hours of projection. Rating: 8.8/10.
If you like this fragrance and don’t have it because it’s discontinued, don’t worry; you have Lattafa Rouat Al Oud, which is almost the same and performs and projects better than this. I own both and they are very similar, almost a clone.
It definitely resembles Rouat, but this one is drier, more powdery, and smells more elegant. They are similar, but not an exact clone.
Don’t buy blindly. At first, it smells of a very strong rose, like those prayer beads, and over time it shifts toward amber with a touch of tonka. It has good projection and longevity, about 8 hours.
A D&G Arabized fragrance that won’t suit everyone; I recommend testing before buying blindly. It’s based on a rose I’d say is totally unisex. Rose fragrances are usually feminine, but they can work for certain men. If you like Moschino Toy Boy, you’ll like this too, and better, in my opinion. They’ve made it ‘digestible’ for men with the saffron and a soft, domesticated oud. It’s rare and niche, hard to find in the West. Lasts 6-7 hours with good projection. It’s for cold weather, elegant, and for night.

If you like collecting fragrances, this one is unique and already discontinued. At first, it smells of grapefruit and incense with roses in the heart, its strong points. As it settles, it becomes rose with a sweet amber touch. It has a brutal trail and longevity; two or three applications are more than enough. The best part is that when you smell it, you imagine a crown of red roses with a masculine touch, something very hard to find. Only for an elegant, soft, and bold man, for night or cold weather.
What a beautiful perfume, from the box to the scent, everything is perfect. The rose and oud constantly fight for dominance. Lasting power is impressive, with moderate projection and trail. Only for elegant occasions, not for everyday wear. Ideal for winter nights or transitional seasons. Try it before buying; I don’t recommend it for anyone under 35.
I was looking for an olfactory like this and it’s not a disappointment, though I didn’t expect it to be this good. It’s a battle between oud and rose; I feel it very masculine and I like that. The grapefruit is subtle but there, and in the end, vanilla/tonka bean wins, very softly. I thought it would be a bomb due to the oud and roses, but it’s a personal bubble about a meter wide. Longevity is just above average: about 6 or 7 hours, not the 8-12 you might expect. I liked it, I recommend it even though I didn’t buy it in Panama; I got it as a tester (maybe transport altered it slightly). Rating: 8.5/10.
I was missing a perfume like this; it’s not a disappointment but not what I expected, and I think that’s positive. 1. I agree with whoever said it’s a battle between oud and rose: I feel it’s very masculine and I like it. The opening doesn’t smell much of grapefruit, but it’s there. In the end, on my skin, I notice more vanilla and tonka bean than the oud, though very faint. 2. I thought it would be an atomic bomb with the oud and roses, but it’s more like a personal one-meter bubble. 3. The longevity is just a bit above average. With these ingredients, one expects 8-12 hours, but I think it lasts about 6, maybe 7 if applied well. I liked it, I recommend it even though they don’t sell it in my country, Panama, and I bought it as a tester (maybe the scent changed due to transport). I give it an 8.5/10.
Quirky perfume. On my skin, it starts with grapefruit, then shifts to rose that dominates the entire scent and is very intense. The oud is there but wearable, though it does add a bit of weight; I’d probably only wear it three times. It feels unisex; in fact, an older lady could wear it.
