I’m a Mancera fan and admit their openings are scandalous: strong, animalic, and weird. But once they dry down, they’re wonders! I bought four and got it in the second one. I started with Roses Jazmin, fresh and floral, though I didn’t notice its opening. Until I tried Musc Rose Aoud and finally understood the line. Now, with this fourth one, I’m not even mortified by the strong opening hour. Highly recommended 100%.
I’m a Mancera fan, and I admit their opening scents are outrageous: strong, animalic, and weird. But once they dry down, they’re absolute wonders! I bought four bottles and got it in the second one. I started with Roses Jazmin, which is fresh and floral, though I didn’t notice much of an opening. Then I tried Musc Rose Aoud and finally understood the line. Now, with this fourth bottle, I’m not even mortified by the strong opening hour. 100% recommended.
I was looking for an oud rose like Armani Privé Rose d’Arabie or Tiger by Cavalli and jumped into this based on English reviews. At first, it smells like alcohol (with two sprays… how else to describe it?). In the first few minutes, I don’t perceive anything; after an hour, flowers and something citrusy appear, but it smells soapy. It doesn’t leave that oud base I was expecting. It disappoints me; it seems more masculine and might suit a man better. The oud I’m looking for isn’t there (the one in Tiger definitely delivers).
A bit too strong for me, but it has great longevity and a heavy sillage. At first, you can clearly detect the blend of pepper and clove with the florals. The other notes come out later, but to my taste, it ends up a bit cloying.
