I tried it to check its performance and originality, and honestly, I expected more. The opening is fresh with volatile citrus that disappears quickly, leaving a scent identical to the original Solo but softer. I don’t detect the rosemary or spices that should give it character; it smells like a more citrusy and synthetic Solo. The longevity and projection are weak. All in all, I prefer the original: this is just a money-grabber, even if that’s the goal of flankers.

I tried it to check its performance and originality, and honestly, I expected more. The opening is fresh with flying citrus notes that vanish quickly, leaving a scent identical to the original Solo but softer. I don’t detect the rosemary or spices that should give it character; it smells like a more citrusy, synthetic Solo. The sillage and projection are weak. All in all, I prefer the original: this is a money grab, even if that’s the goal of flankers.

  • Not bad, it shares a lot with the regular Solo and has elements that could make me like it, but ultimately it ends up flat and unrealistic. It’s fresh and aromatic with lavender and rosemary, a spicy touch of cardamom that sometimes smells like cinnamon and even sweat. As it dries down, the incense and balsamic woods take over, and for my nose, that woody note feels forced and heavy. Lasts well, but with a very restrained trail.

  • Well, what a pity, because the scent itself is a very pleasant fresh herbal note, but the longevity is ridiculous—it barely lasts two hours. I tried it in late autumn, and if it doesn’t even last a day in the cold, it’ll be a disaster in spring. It feels like a cheap cologne that forces you to reapply every hour. In the end, for the price, you can get something much better and more substantial.

  • A perfume to train your nose to scents that break away from the usual. Excellent fragrance, very long-lasting, with a projection that should be the envy of big brands. I recommend it for both men and women; women who dare to wear it will pleasantly surprise their surroundings.

  • A great way to train your nose to appreciate scents that break away from the usual and mass-produced. An excellent fragrance with incredible longevity and a projection that should make big brands jealous. I recommend it for both men and women; anyone brave enough to wear it will pleasantly surprise their surroundings.

  • Explosive opening, very herbal. I thought I’d find it pleasant like the classic Solo, but this one didn’t work for me. Luckily, it was a 15ml gift with the purchase of another fragrance. I wore it to work to test it out; due to its powerful opening, it was noticeable to others, and everyone wanted to know who wore it. But for leaving the office, it’s fine; people commented on it. Every nose is different; here’s what happened in my case.

  • I tried it several times in stores and liked it a lot from the start; it seemed like a very original, non-conventional, rich, and attractive scent. I was about to buy it a couple of times but decided to wait, and thanks to that, because at some points I felt it was overwhelming or too much for me. I tried the Cedar version and liked it more for its scent (it’s all about personal taste) and because the citrus touch in Cedar felt softer and less overpowering. As for longevity, it’s quite good.

  • I tried it several times in stores and at first, I loved it; it seemed like an original, rich, and unusual fragrance. I was about to buy it, but decided to wait, and thanks to that, because at some points it overwhelmed me. I tried the Cedar version and liked it more for being less aggressive; its citrus note is softer and doesn’t saturate as much. As for longevity, it’s quite good.

  • Verdict on Loewe 7 Origami: exceptional longevity of about 8 hours with tremendous tenacity. It keeps the ‘Solo’ line’s seal with a super-clean lavender extract, a herbal touch of rosemary and basil, sharp citrus, and a strong geranium over a base of vetiver, amber, and musk. All of this makes it super complex and exquisite. For summer, it’s comforting, with that clean laundry scent at the start that later turns into an exquisite aroma on clothes. I’m keeping this for the heat and the Anonyme for winter, since they killed the original 7.

  • My personal verdict on Loewe 7 Origami: on me, it has exceptional longevity of around 8 hours with amazing sillage. It keeps the ‘Solo’ signature; without that, it definitely wouldn’t be one of my favorites. But with that super-clean lavender extract, that herbal touch of rosemary and basil, those sharp citrus notes that pierce through, the strong and present geranium, and a base of vetiver, amber, and musk, it becomes super complex and exquisite. For summer, I doubt I’ve tried anything as comforting, with that super-clean laundry scent throughout the day, but once you get home, it leaves a less-clean, exquisitely pleasant scent on your clothes: who doesn’t love that? From Loewe, I’m sticking with this for summer and Anónimo for winter, since they killed the traditional 7.

  • Memoquique

A delicious Solo Loewe flanker, the freshest in my Solo collection (I still haven’t tried Sport), but it’s a fresh casual or even elegant scent, and likely the most citrusy of all, even though citrus isn’t its dominant note. As Emilio Valeros says, the hallmark of the Solo line is a homogeneous scent from start to finish, and it achieves that, at least in the ones I’ve tried. A perfume that seems discontinued and undervalued; luckily, I have my bottle plus an extra I bought on sale, and with my 150+ perfumes, I doubt I’ll finish them in a decade.

A delicious flanker of the Loewe Solo, the freshest in my collection (I still haven’t tried the Sport). It’s a fresh casual or even elegant scent, and undoubtedly the most citrusy of all, even if citrus isn’t its dominant note. The hallmark of the ‘Solo’ line, according to Emilio Valeros, is being homogeneous from the opening to the dry down, and it achieves that. It’s a discontinued and undervalued perfume; fortunately, I have my bottle and a refill. With over 150 perfumes, I doubt I’ll finish them in a decade.

  • I got lucky and found a first-edition bottle from its release year, still sealed. The scent is enchanting—aromatic and fresh at the same time, showcasing the delicious SOLO DNA with citrus, basil, and rosemary blended perfectly. It doesn’t fall short on lavender, one of my favorite notes; here it’s not as sweet as in current versions but mixed with geranium and a woody musk base. Great for formal or semi-formal occasions with very good performance, lasting up to 8 hours with a wide trail for the first 2 hours. I find it quite versatile seasonally and ideal for daytime use. A delight from Loewe; even though it’s designer, it sits in the price range of many niche fragrances. Scent: 9 – Longevity: 7 – Sillage: 7 – Value: 10 in my case, since I bought it at a great price (the best value purchase in my collection).

  • I’m a fan of the SOLO line (Normal, Atlas, Cedar, Origami), and this is the cheapest one I’ve found: under €30 for 100ml. I thought it wouldn’t last long because it’s so fresh, and while it’s not a beast in projection, it lasts quite a bit at 1 meter, with one note lingering in the air for ages, making it easy for others to detect. Best for spring and especially summer, during the day.

  • I’m a lover of the SOLO line (normal, Atlas, Cedar, Origami), and this is the cheapest I’ve found, under €30 for 100ml. Honestly, I thought it wouldn’t last long because it’s so fresh, and it’s true that it’s not a ‘beast mode’ in projection… but it lasts quite a bit at arm’s length. There’s one note that lingers in the air for ages, making it easy for people to detect. Perfect for spring and especially summer, during the day.

A great flanker in the Solo line; its best time is spring and summer. Perfect for daytime wear, with excellent scent, projection, and trail on my skin. If you like the line, this is a must-buy.
