  1. Super fresh and citrusy opening without being astringent. Then it shifts to be very spicy and incense-heavy. The longevity is short.

This perfume is my teenage dream. I wanted it when I was young, and a few years ago I finally got a version that lasts forever on clothes. It’s a huge compliment; even though it’s citrusy, it has superb elegance. Loewe always makes top-tier perfumes, and this is no exception. They’re pricey in Mexico, but worth every peso. I prefer the old version over the new one, which is lighter. Projection 9, Longevity 8 hours, Sillage 3 hours (6 sprays), Compliments 8, Price 5 (it’s expensive), Versatile 100%.

This perfume is my teenage dream. I’ve always wanted it since I was young, and a few years ago I finally managed to get the old bottle; it lasted forever on clothes and exceeded all expectations. In my opinion, Loewe makes the best perfumes out there right now. Intoxicating scents that last for hours. The feminine side is beautiful, refined, and delicate; the masculine side has personality, presence, and elegance. What exquisite craftsmanship this brand puts into their perfumes.

It could improve on its scent; it’s easy to like but lacks complexity. What stands out to me is the orange, tonka bean, a faint wood, and a subtle incense. I see it as citrusy, sweet, and woody. It has a soapy, clean touch that I like. I love that the citrus note is orange; it’s less astringent than others and adds sweetness without feeling too synthetic. In terms of compliments, it’s a hit—it’s impossible not to like it. It’s simple, clean, and cheerful. From the first spray, people commented that it smelled good, even though it’s not an imposing or unique scent; it just does its job well and makes you feel happy. I like it for warm climates and daytime, with relaxed social attire and ambiance; it conveys joy and energy. Its performance is negative: it lasts 6-7 hours, but projection and sillage are low to moderate, which is disappointing for the price. The price seems high for the performance; if it were more affordable, it would be a must-have for its sparkling aroma. Paying between 1,500 and 2,500 pesos isn’t worth it for the cost-benefit ratio. Compliments 10, Longevity 7, Projection 5, Sillage 5, Price 7, Total 7.

I bought it right when it launched back in 2017 in the US, and it was love at first sight. It’s a unique opening where lavender and orange explode, followed by a distinct nutmeg note, always sitting on a woody base. The sillage and longevity are moderate. It’s a bit too strong for enclosed spaces, but if you use several sprays, it’s ideal for night out.

  8. Good perfume, honestly nothing citrusy. It’s creamy, sweet, and feels like winter. Good longevity, moderate sillage, but at the same time it doesn’t stand out; it feels just like many others. I don’t recommend it due to the price; in some sales it becomes a very good option.

The citrus opening that Fragantica mentions doesn’t last even two minutes before turning into a delicious creamy perfume. Good longevity; there are some notes that still seem very similar to the Solo line, however, they are all distinct and each has its charm; I like this line more every day.

It’s a pretty good perfume for what’s being done these days. Mediterranean, masculine, with a touch of distinction. I see it’s not liked in the fragrance community reviews, but I do. Perfect for hot, sunny days. Fits perfectly with an elegant daytime style. On my skin, the Mediterranean plant aroma stands out with a certain sweetness from tonka bean, giving it a younger spirit than the original. It’s not minimalist; it’s complex and evolves. It’s great for any age if you want to leave a trail at daytime events. Lacks the sensuality for hitting on someone or going out at night. Quality perfume in a beautiful bottle. Worth it. Good longevity and trail; I wore it one afternoon and my room still smelled of it the next day. Nice fragrance.

Great perfume for today: Mediterranean, masculine, and distinguished. I love it; perfect for hot days and elegant daytime wear. On my skin, the Mediterranean notes shine with a sweet tonka bean touch, making it feel younger than the original. It’s not minimalist; it’s complex and evolves. Ideal for any age if you want to leave a daytime trail. Lacks a bit of sensuality for night out, but it’s quality in a beautiful bottle. Worth it. Good longevity and projection; I wore it one afternoon and my room still smelled of it the next day. Nice fragrance.

Very similar to Fendi Fan di Fendi. Lasts over eight hours, delicate and refined. I tested it here in summer (73°F), applied two sprays from a decant; they’re small but they got a bit too strong for me. I had to shower, yet I could still smell its lovely scent four hours later. I see it more for hanging out with friends or an informal family dinner.

Only Loewe Esencial smells good; I liked it in almost all its phases. The opening is aromatic, fresh, and floral. It has a classic style that brings back memories of past eras but feels updated; you can sense the DNA of the original with an aquatic and herbal twist, like 90s fragrances. The downside is it doesn’t stand out much; it lacks personality, but I’d happily gift it because its aromatic combination is hard not to like. Longevity and projection are good; it lasts a workday. Its versatility is key: I think it works for any season and weather.

Solo Loewe Esencial seems like a fairly common fragrance to me, but that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, it smells good; I liked it in almost all its phases. The opening is aromatic, fresh, and floral. It seems to have a classic style that brings back memories of past eras, but with an updated touch; you still perceive part of the DNA of the first Solo Loewe, but with a flirtation toward a slightly aquatic and herbal style, something like early 90s fragrances. The downside is it’s not very distinctive; it lacks its own personality, but I’d happily use it if gifted, since its aromatic combination is hard not to like. Longevity and projection are good; it easily lasts a workday. Another advantage is its versatility; I think it can be used in any season and weather.

  17. New flanker refresh… The opening is identical to all the ‘Solo Loewe’ scents I’ve tried. The surprise comes in the heart, with notes reminiscent of both Invictus and Polo Red (which are very different) and an aromatic explosion that’s overwhelming. I actually prefer the dry-down: all the woody parts with incense and tonka bean. It’s surprising for its evolution, trail, and longevity—something missing from the whole ‘Solo Loewe’ range. It’s not worth the marked price in stores; seems too expensive for just another entry. Would I recommend it? Honestly, no, because it doesn’t grab attention and there are already fragrances with similar scents in all phases: opening like ‘Solo Loewe’, heart like Invictus, and dry-down very similar to Zara’s Sandalwood. Its trail and longevity are notable; I applied it 19 hours ago and it still faintly lingers on the skin. Moderate trail up to the fourth hour, then drops to skin scent.

I love it. Starts with mint, rosemary, and orange, a hint of cardamom. Then lavender and nutmeg come in. Finally, it dries down to guaiac wood. It feels quite linear. Ideal for those seeking green-floral scents. Perfect for spring, summer, and autumn, and for daytime. Longevity and trail are moderate.

  19. Ugh, I don’t even know what to say. It’s true that fragrances aren’t made thinking about critics who test everything. The general public, not knowing much, can’t associate these similarities, but for us, damn it, when certain accords go trendy, you have to nail them. This perfume smells more like rancid tonka bean, so present in other scents. You can also detect a certain freshness from some calone or didrymircenol. It shares some traits with other synthetic dry SOLOs, something I don’t really like. The first hour smells okay, though not particularly pleasant to me; then it improves for me, but it starts smelling way more like sawdust. I don’t know what else to say because bringing up terms like byproduct or trash will hurt sensitivities and cause a scene, but honestly, this just doesn’t work for me.

  20. Wow, I don’t know what to say. It’s true fragrances aren’t designed thinking about critics who test everything. The general public doesn’t know much and doesn’t associate these similarities, but for us, damn it, when an accord goes trendy, you have to pull it off well. This smells a lot of stale tonka bean, so present in other things. There’s also a hint of freshness, maybe from a calone or didrymircenol. It shares points with other SOLOs with that synthetic dryness I don’t like. The first hour smells good, not unpleasant, but later it fades and becomes skin-scent only. I don’t know what to say; if we use terms like byproduct or trash, we hurt sensitivities and cause a fuss, but honestly, this just doesn’t work for me.
