  • Smells similar to the original but feels more serious and formal due to the leather, though the opening is lime. Perfect for cold winters or autumn, and sometimes in spring when dressing up. It projects well with great longevity; three sprays are more than enough.

  • Among the Solo versions, this is my favorite, probably because the leather and black tea soften the dry-down. Mandarin still dominates, just like in the others. The trail is low, meant for personal enjoyment or a partner, but the longevity is good. I’m not sure if I’d buy it, but it’s not bad; overall, they’re very pleasant.

Hard to disagree with the others: Solo Loewe Platinum is the best in the family. It’s delicate, exquisite, and uncommon. On my skin, it lasts even after a shower. The sillage is light, but the skin longevity is excellent. It’s 100% refined, no half measures. I’d give it 4.5/5.

Hard to disagree with the previous reviews: Solo Loewe Platinum is the best. Delicate, exquisite, and rare. It lasts all day on my skin. The sillage is light, but the longevity is excellent. Refined to the max, no half-measures. I’d give it 4.5/5.

Hey, I’m not an expert on notes, but this fragrance is awesome. It smells very masculine, with that leather note giving it real character. The trail is moderate, nothing extravagant, and both longevity and projection are solid. Paired with the original Solo, they’re fantastic; I can’t wait to try the cedar one, it’s sure to be spectacular.

  • Loewe went all in with this one, but for the price, I expected more. It’s a soft, commercial scent—pleasant at first with an opening that promises greatness, but then it settles into something simple and generic, like old-school barbershop shaving soap.

  • A superior fragrance for rare occasions (given the price), but its aroma will accompany you for a long time. A very good flanker of Solo that surpasses it in moments. Enjoy it.

Very rich and delicious scent, it outshines its older brother. I love its evolution.

  • Honestly, it’s not my favorite style, and the Solo family in general doesn’t really work for me, but I have to admit this one has a certain charm. Dry incense, lightly smoked, spices, leather, and tea (nothing fresh), plus cedar, make this a classic masculine scent. I imagine the benzoin adds a subtle, abstract counterpoint that works beautifully. It could use a bit more punch. Even though it’s dry and serious, it’s nothing compared to Private Label or Dark Aoud in terms of impact; this one definitely feels more like a designer fragrance.

  • Not my style, and I’m not a fan of the Solo family, but this one is interesting. Dry incense, spices, leather, and tea—nothing fresh, more of a classic masculine vibe. I imagine the benzoin adds a subtle counterpoint that works well. It lacks power; it’s dry and serious, but nothing compared to Private Label or Dark Aoud. You can tell it’s more designer.

  • A great option for fresh days at gatherings or presentations. It conveys seriousness and sobriety. I see this as more for men 30+.

  • I love it! I was torn between the regular Solo and the Cedar version, but trying this one made my decision instantly. It has woody notes but feels much more sophisticated, elegant, polished, colorful, and understated. I was fascinated. The only downside is the price. Scent: 10, Longevity: 7-7.5, Sillage: 7.

  • Pleasantly surprised: incredible and original scent, formal, masculine, and seductive. Moderate trail but good longevity. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth every penny for this little-known gem. Cheers.

  • I was pleasantly surprised. It has an incredible and very original scent, with a formal, masculine, and seductive vibe at the same time. The trail is moderate but has good longevity. It’s not very cheap, but it’s definitely worth every penny to own this little-known gem. Cheers.

  • More complex and full of nuances, with performance similar to the classic. They start alike but are clearly different. This has a more sophisticated, formal aura and feels less generic, even though the scents are familiar. It’s less ‘harsh’ than the original, which saturates with its citrus explosion. It strikes a better balance between orange, lavender, and leather. The heart is different: the original stays the same, while Platinum shifts from a light freshness to something soft and rounded. This is my first leather fragrance (I tried Fahrenheit, but didn’t use it). Here, the leather is in the background, adorning a burnt orange scent. It’s curious that it doesn’t list citrus notes, but it has a spark of orange or guava. It’s not the fresh, sweet orange of Arancia di Capri, but synthetic and slightly rough, mixed with smoky incense. It lasts 6-7 hours on skin, evolving slowly. It projects and lasts like the original. Platinum is more elegant, so we forgive the moderate projection. I’ve spent on 175ml of the classic, and the change is a hit. The original bores me with its lack of evolution; this is dynamic. Without a doubt, the best flanker. Elegant, versatile, synthetic, masculine, and very pleasant. Bottle: 10 (same bottle but with black metal). Scent: 8.5. Versatility: 7. Sillage: 6.5. Longevity: 7.5.

  • Freshly applied, it smells citrusy and fussy, with a weak leather base. I don’t notice the typical incense from the 7 collection. The scent is charming with reasonable projection. I haven’t tested the longevity thoroughly, but after half an hour, it seems more than enough. I really like it; I own several from this collection, and the cedar one is my favorite. I’d recommend it without doubt; it’s elegant.

  • Something strange happens with this one: at first, it smells like Givenchy’s Gentleman Only Absolute, thanks to the nutmeg over wood. There’s a touch of tea and incense, but the nutmeg dominates until the heart, where thyme and lavender stand out over a ‘new’ leather. That’s where I fall in love. Performance with distinction: it lasts a full workday. The trail is heavy for the first hour, moderate after three hours, and skin-close until 7-8 PM. Verdict: mixed feelings. Generic opening, magnificent dry-down. It depends on whether you value the opening or the dry-down more; I choose the latter. In my case, it would be an excellent signature scent.

First fragrance from this Spanish house and it impressed me, even though I’m not a fan of resinous or leather scents. I associate it with a spiced woody vibe, but it doesn’t have those notes; it reminds me of The One by D&G—sharp at first but not intrusive, with a sublime and addictive dry-down. It lasts on clothes until the next day. It’s like the classic Solo but with incense and benzoin, better for temperate/winter climates and formal occasions. The classic is more versatile. Platinum is an ‘intense’ version. Delicious, exquisite, and refined. Recommended.

  • This is my first fragrance from this Spanish house, and it left me speechless, even though I’m not a fan of resinous or leather scents. I always associated them with woody and spicy notes, but there’s not a trace of that here. It reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana’s The One: they don’t smell the same, but it’s in that style—pungent at first but not annoying. The dry-down is sublime and addictive; it lasts on clothes until the next day. It’s like the classic Solo but with added incense and benzoin. It’s better suited for mild climates and serious occasions, and it’s the ‘intense’ version. The original is more versatile. This opens me up to the olfactory family. Delicious, exquisite, and refined. Recommended.

A story you can’t forget: I went out to buy a perfume for a friend, not for myself. The store girl asked if I wanted to try Loewe’s Solo Platinum. I, acting like an expert, nodded and with disdain said: Okay, let me see. End of story… I ended up buying two bottles and almost reenacted the classic scene of giving a gift and getting hooked (with a face saying… shit, I want it too). This perfume has its difference printed on it, at least compared to current perfumery. I won’t list the notes, perfumes are reviewed as a whole, but this has a sensual scent in its DNA for any season, day, or night, and believe me, I’m from a warm place all year round. It’s manly! Sophisticated! Easily lasts 8 hours and generates endless compliments.

  • I agree with whoever said it reminded me of D&G The One EDP, not because it looks alike, but because they aim for the same thing: similar usage situations and a similar construction. The freshness of D&G here is the tea, acidic and bitter like citrus; the tobacco in The One is replaced by soft leather; and the amber is swapped for resins. It’s a masculine, modern, elegant, and versatile perfume. I avoid it in the heat. It’s perfect for signing or working indoors, it doesn’t invade. I prefer The One, but this Solo Platinum lasts longer on skin and comes in a hard black cardboard box, higher-end. It deserves more love 😁 Scent: 8.75 Longevity: 7.5 Projection: 6 Sillage: 7 Versatility: 8.5 Price: 8.25

  • I agree with the person who said this smells like The One EDP—not because it’s a clone, but because it targets the same vibe: the tea here is sour and bitter like citrus, soft leather takes the place of tobacco, and resins replace amber. It’s a modern, elegant, and very versatile man, though I set it aside in heat. Perfect as a signature scent or for the office; it doesn’t overpower. I personally prefer The One, but this Solo Platinum performs better on skin and comes in a hard black box with a side-opening, very premium. It deserves more love 😁 Scent: 8.75 Longevity: 7.5 Projection: 6 Sillage: 7 Versatility: 8.5 Value: 8.25

  • I loved it at first; it had something mystical that fascinated me, so I bought a 50ml bottle. But after two weeks, everything I liked started to bother me. The opening is terribly synthetic, prefabricated, smells like a drugstore though better constructed. I don’t detect the leather or incense, just maybe nutmeg at the end and a bit of lavender. It’s linear, no evolution, and it lost that mystical touch. I won’t buy it again. You can wear it any time of year; it’s not fresh but it’s not annoying or too projecting.

  • I tried it blind and it was a total hit. I love it; it’s masculine, versatile, elegant, and different. Not youthful, but doesn’t smell like an old man either; it’s clean without smelling like shower gel. The opening is fresh but has darkness from black tea, cedar, and lavender; it feels like stepping into a wooden cabin on a hot day, with cool shade and an iced tea. What I notice most is lavender with cedar and tea. I only detect the white musk that cleans it up and very subtle benzoin. For me, it’s a 10; I don’t mind it being linear, projects little, and lasts about 6 hours on skin and less on clothes the next day. Perfect for the office. What a pity it’s discontinued, but you can get it online. Worth it if you’re looking for something fresh and woody, not citrus or aquatic. I loved it so much I bought a backup.

  • Found it half-used, with less than half left, and I’m desperate because it’s no longer available 😔. Just two things: sophisticated and smells rich. It’s the scent of people with money. 10/10.

  • Orlandoperfumesman

Delicious, elegant, and fresh perfume. Cedar dominates; if I smelled it blind, I’d say it’s just cedar.

  • Leather and incense are the bosses here. That typical Loewe leather mixed with an incense resin that softens the tea, and especially the lavender. Medium-low projection for a scent that gives you empowerment and character.

  • conaromapulcro

What a shame they discontinued it. Did it lose the shine of the original? They are very similar, but this one should be the king… it’s gorgeous. Lasts longer than usual, getting tons of compliments. Bring back Platinum!

  • Just bought it and the performance is brutal. It evolves like a rough sea: starts with leather, cedar, and incense, then tea joins lavender, and finally it settles on just lavender and thyme. Lasts 8 to 10 hours with about 3 hours of projection. Already want another bottle 🙂
