When I smelled it, it reminded me a lot of another Zara fragrance: Tiveden EDP. The first thing I thought was ‘mmm, it smells like sandalwood,’ then ‘and a bit like carnation,’ just like with Tiveden. I swear I can feel a touch of sandalwood, even though it’s not listed, along with that citrusy and aromatic kick from the cardamom. I don’t recognize the violet, although it’s generally a note I struggle to find. The longevity isn’t bad, though inferior to Tiveden, and the sillage is moderate, similar to the other perfume. Since I already have Tiveden, I don’t think I’ll buy this one, but I recommend it to those who like sweet and woody fragrances or enjoy sandalwood; the leather and cardamomo mix creates a similar effect. Scent 10, Longevity 7, Sillage 6, Value 10, Overall Impression 9.

  • I’ve seen on YouTube that it’s recommended as a clone of Santal 33, something I haven’t tried yet. To sum up, it smells good and lasts a long time, but in my opinion, it feels too synthetic. The notes match Fragrantica: what stands out most is the cardamom. The violet smells great and might be the best note, but that leather ruins it: it’s the most artificial part of everything, nothing natural, it feels more like synthetic suede than real leather. Even though it doesn’t fully convince me, for the price it’s worth going to Zara to try it. I don’t recommend buying blindly, but I do suggest giving it a chance. Scent 7, Longevity 10, Sillage 8.

  • Personally, I love it!!! It’s a scent that makes you feel clean. It’s not heavy nor too light… very, very versatile in my opinion. Without a doubt, you have to buy it. They will discontinue it soon.

Lately, this fragrance is going through the roof, and in my opinion, I think it’s not that big of a deal. To me, it smells of wet earth and cardamomo. An aroma that, while not widespread, I don’t think is a gem as certain YouTubers are making it out to be. I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

Scent No. 1 is a very elegant, mannered perfume, a scent that reminds me of my school days, the shavings of my pencils (alpino), but… with a touch of violet caramel, like a pale powder. I like it, it intrigues me, other times it bothers me… could it be love/hate? I can’t find the moment to wear it.

A very good option for collectors: it’s a simple yet complex fragrance, not for a specific situation. It’s one of those you like after analyzing it well. Personally, I like it; it doesn’t cause a furor nor does the average person like it. I’ve smelled Santal 33 and it’s similar in DNA, with this one being much more natural and less synthetic. I’d recommend it to someone who has Santal and doesn’t want to spend $170 (which, in my opinion, is inflated and isn’t worth it). Longevity on skin is good, very good for a Zara fragrance: about 6-8 hours easily, projecting well for the first 2-3. Scent 7, Projection 7, Price 10, Longevity 9.

A very good option for collectors. It’s a simple fragrance yet complicated in the sense that it’s not for a particular situation or instance. It’s one of those you like after analyzing it very well. Personally, I quite like it; it doesn’t cause a furor, nor does the average person like it much. I’ve smelled Santal 33, and it’s really similar in DNA, with this one being much more natural and less synthetic. I’d recommend this fragrance to anyone who has had the Santal and doesn’t want to spend 170 dollars (which in my opinion, this Santal is ultra-inflated in price and isn’t worth what it smells like). Longevity on skin is quite good. Good for being from Zara… about 6-8 hours easily, projecting well for the first 2-3 hours. Scent: 7. Projection: 7. Price: 10. Longevity: 9.

  • Another Zara addition to the collection. I walked by, smelled it by chance, and ended up buying it. At 9.95€, it’s incredibly cheap; you can’t ask for more for less. I don’t know what Santal 33 smells like, which they say it resembles, but this has a very peculiar and unique aroma that I quite like. I see it as appropriate for when summer gets intense and temperatures drop a bit. I smell it on my wrist and it has a touch I love, like sweet wood, very different from the others. For this price, there’s little to lose. Recommended.

  • Another Zara cologne coming for the collection. I passed by, smelled it by chance, and ended up buying it. 9.95, cheap as can be. I don’t think you can ask for more for less. I don’t know what Santal 33 smells like, which they say it resembles. This one truly has a very peculiar and unique aroma; I like it quite a bit. I see it as more appropriate for when summer is in full swing and temperatures drop a bit. I smell it on my wrist and it has a note I really like, like sweet wood, very different from the others. For this price, there’s little to lose. Recommended.

  • I see there are many engineers rating perfumes, so I’ll do it without jargon or boring repetition that everyone else uses. I have many Zara perfumes, almost all of them. This isn’t the most durable (for me, it’s the gourmand leather) nor the least (the Vibrant Leather with its generous 20 minutes), but it is the one with the strangest scent, neither liked nor disliked. It smells like a type of dry, sweet grass that reminds me of some meadow from my hometown in childhood. It seems like all perfumes smell like leather now. Everyone says any perfume smells like leather or tobacco. This bottle doesn’t smell like leather nor does it resemble it. It’s a sweet and salty scent at the same time. My girlfriend hates it; I’m indifferent; I bought it blindly without testing for 9 euros and something, and I won’t say it was a grave mistake. I’d appreciate if someone could say a perfume smells like… (something physical everyone can smell) because no matter what, I don’t have tonka beans at home, and if they tell me it smells like tobacco, iris, red pepper, and tonka bean, I’ll be dizzy. However, look how simple: Uomo by Salvatore Ferragamo smells like tiramisu, period. And everyone knows what tiramisu smells like. I go further: Joop Homme smells like strawberry and tire, period. And Fahrenheit like gasoline and leather, period. And we can all form a mental image. When I see reviews mentioning ingredients, I get bored and move on because, for whatever reason, I don’t have ambroxan in the closet, let alone seaweed. I think Scent 1 is the most complicated to explain, but if you put cardamomo (I do have that at home) between straw and sugar, that’s what it smells like. Average.

  • I bought this fragrance one day when I went to Zara with my wife; she was trying on clothes, and I went to the men’s section to get overwhelmed by everything I could. I have some from Zara, though fewer and fewer because the longevity is pathetic. I bought this one because it was very cheap, not even reaching 9 euros, and I loved the bottle; I have a weakness for buying if the jar is gorgeous and the price is right. It’s a fragrance that gets tiring very quickly; it just smells, and I say this especially for the reviewer’s partner who didn’t know what it smelled like: it smells of violets, violets, and nothing else. Anyone who has smelled violets in the countryside or at a florist knows what I mean. The bad part is that it’s a synthetic violet, not natural, and then it becomes tiring. The good thing is that, true to the brand, its longevity is short and the scent passes quickly. The bad part returns: although no one smells it on you anymore, you still smell it right up close, and what you still smell are synthetic violets, which I at least don’t like and they give me a headache. I absolutely don’t like it; I’m using it as a bathroom diffuser.

  • Hi everyone! I spotted it at my local Zara at the start of the sales alongside the other Scent line. Finally. I thought I’d never find it after reading so many recommendations. I found exactly what I intuited. I don’t detect the cardamom, but the leather is very noticeable: rough, wild, raw, and natural, a strange and unexpected smell. I never imagined a perfume could smell like this. The violet makes itself felt; I think without it it wouldn’t work, and yet I still think its main flaw is its lack of versatility. Its originality makes it complex: a smell you either like or don’t, but if you give it a chance, you’ll get hooked. Being so leather-heavy, I dared to wear it with Vibrant Leather; they complement each other perfectly. The mix gives this Scent#1 a wearable character and gives the VL some body. I’ll use them together and separately. Hehe… I like it and, although not for blind buying, if you like it a little and find it, grab it. You’ll give it a chance and enjoy it. Cheers, fragrance lovers!

  • Hi there! It’s a very simple, linear fragrance of medium quality within Zara’s range, but I like it. It smells of leather and violet, lots of violet, like the opening of Burberry Touch for Men. Then Burberry fades away, and this Scent 1 stays the same, with a sensation of earthy leather yet luminous. That’s why I like it; it gives me simple sensations that are hard to explain. Don’t forget! I recommend trying it on a rainy day when you have to walk. The sensation of humidity mixing with the little green of the city, the asphalt with that industrial smell… The best layering for this fragrance is a walk in the rain. Longevity is about six hours and sillage is moderate, about two or three hours. In short, I think it’s a good perfume within the wide Zara range. • Hi everyone! I finally found it at the Zara in my city at the start of the sales, alongside the other Scent line. I thought I’d never find it after reading and seeing so many reviews recommending it. I found exactly what I intuited. I don’t detect cardamomo in the accord, but the leather is very noticeable. Very rough, wild, raw, and natural to the point that it results in a strange and unexpected scent. I never imagined a perfume could smell like this. The violet is noticeable; I think without it, it wouldn’t be wearable, and yet I still think its biggest flaw is its lack of versatility. That said, its originality makes it complex. It’s a scent you either like or don’t, but if you give it a chance, you’ll get used to it. Since it’s so leather-forward, I dared to wear it with the Vibrant Leather, and both seemed like perfect complements. And it’s true, friends. The mix of both gives wearability to this Scent #1 and adds body to the VL. I’ll keep using them together and separately. Hehe… The truth is, I like it, and although I wouldn’t buy it blindly, if you like it even a little and have the luck to find it, grab it. Give it a chance and you’ll enjoy it. Cheers, fragrance lovers!

  • Hi! It’s a simple and linear fragrance, average quality for Zara, but it hooks me. It smells like leather and violet, with a lot of violet, just like the opening of Burberry Touch for men. Then Burberry fades away and this Scent 1 stays fixed, with that earthy leather feeling yet also ‘luminous’. I like it for those simple and hard-to-explain sensations. Don’t forget! Try it on a rainy day when you have to walk around. The mix with the humidity, the smell of rain soaking into the urban green and industrial asphalt, is the best layering. Longevity is about six hours and sillage is moderate, two or three. In short, it’s a good perfume in Zara’s wide range. • It’s a very rare fragrance. I agree with most reviews: it smells quite synthetic and gives me a slight headache. It doesn’t smell like leather, or at least not the kind I know. I do detect violet, perhaps in excess. It’s sweet and salty at the same time, reminding me just a tiny bit of Loewe’s Paula’s Ibiza. Later, it evokes fennel; that’s the best summary I can give. In conclusion, this strange perfume is complicated. I agree with Oscar López: I wouldn’t find a moment to wear it. I say ‘wouldn’t’ in the conditional because I’ve never even considered using it. I take note of those who use it as a bathroom diffuser. Not a bad idea.
