  • A unique composition on sandalwood with unparalleled quality, surpassed only by Lutens and his masterpiece: Santal 33. Warm for winter, very exclusive, and full of glamour. The bottle is perfect, and the box is a visual luxury. It’s great that it’s still a niche perfume for now; it’s horrifying to see the massification today where everyone smells the same.

  • An elegant, subtle, and unangular fragrance. Beneath a balsamic, powdery bed that dries into something musky lies a convincing, natural sandalwood of substantial quality, with relaxed and zen lines, like a minimalist Japanese garden dominated by a great sandalwood tree. It’s accompanied by a hint of spiced milk that rounds out the sandalwood, adding fluffiness and body. It lasts long and projects moderately, ideal for daytime. Before the reformulations, Santal 33 and Tam Dao were my favorites; now Sacred Wood takes the number one spot because the others have become too watery, I suppose due to the high cost of sandalwood essences. Even the synthetic ‘santal-mysore’ isn’t cheap. A bit shy, but among the best on the market with a sandalwood base. Rating: 7.5

  • Elegant, subtle, and smooth fragrance: beneath a balsamic, powdery dry-down that settles into musk, lies a very convincing and natural sandalwood with a solid quality and relaxed, zen lines, like a minimalist Japanese garden dominated by a great sandalwood tree. It’s accompanied by a touch of spiced milk that rounds out the sandalwood accord, adding fluffiness and body. Longevity is very good and projection is moderate, ideal for daytime. Before the reformulations, Santal 33 and Tam Dao were my favorites, but now Sacred Wood takes the top spot because the others have become too watery, I suppose due to the high cost of this precious wood. Even the synthetic ‘santal-33’ isn’t cheap. A bit quiet, but one of the best with a sandalwood base. Rating: 7.5

  • If you follow sandalwood, you must try this or own it. Sacred Wood perfectly interprets Mysore sandalwood, aiming to emulate that Indian Santalum. The amazing part is its enveloping veil: a vapor of milk with a unique warmth. It’s intriguing; sometimes you want the purity of the sandalwood to explode, but it stays contained and reserved, very sensual and elegant. The downside is that it lacks the drama of Serge Lutens’ Santal 33 or the effervescence of his Santal Majuscule, but overall, you could be in for one of the most beautiful fragrances. Don’t stop reading the story behind this creation… Sacred Wood… Excellent contribution.

  • I’ve tried it three times, but it only reminds me of Trombocid ointment or something similar for blood clots and trauma. I don’t know if you know it outside of Spain, but comments in my circle were similar. If it’s supposed to smell like this, I hate it; seriously, smelling like medicine really turns me off.

  • I’ve tried it three times, but this scent only reminds me of Trombocid ointment, used to dissolve blood clots or improve circulation. I’m not sure if it’s well-known outside of Spain, but comments in my circle were similar. If it has to smell like that, I don’t like it at all; personally, I really dislike smelling like medicine.

Just to add, their official website lists more notes than what appears here: Top notes of milk and pink pepper; heart of caraway, carrot, elemi, and spices; base of amber, cedar, exotic wood, incense, and Mysore sandalwood.

  • It’s purely woody, featuring sandalwood and cedar, with a touch of myrrh and resins at the start that fade as it settles, leaving a rich sandalwood throughout the entire wear. It projects for a few hours and lasts forever. It’s unisex, leaning masculine. I found it to be a delicious sandalwood, but I’m not sure if I’d wear it myself or prefer it on someone else, since it’s so neutral and smooth. If you’re looking for just sandalwood or wood, it’s ideal; if you want something more exotic, try Tom Ford’s Santal Blush or VC&A’s Santal Blanc. Due to its softness, it works for all seasons except hot summer days or nights, unless it’s a very formal occasion. Despite not being a fan of the brand, I’d buy it for my partner. Pleasant: 9/10 Interesting: 5/10 Versatile: 8/10 Original: 3/10

  • Purely woody perfume featuring sandalwood and cedar, with a hint of myrrh and resins in the opening that fade as it settles, leaving a very rich sandalwood throughout the entire wear. Projects for a few hours and lasts forever. Unisex leaning masculine. I found it delicious, but I’m not sure if I’d wear it myself or just have someone else wear it; it’s very neutral and smooth. If you’re looking for just sandalwood or woody notes, this is perfect; if you want exotic sandalwood, try Tom Ford’s Santal Blush or VC&A’s Santal Blanc. Soft enough for all seasons except scorching summer heat, day or night, and suitable for anything except very formal events. Despite not being a fan of the brand, I’d buy it for my partner. It feels elegant and sober; in my opinion, it smells very similar to Nobile 1942’s Noble Sandalwood.

  • It gave me a headache and leaves a very artificial trail on the skin, especially due to that continuous, suffocating talc-like powdery note. I’ve tried hundreds of fragrances, and this is the first time I don’t want to give it a second chance, well, the second time after trying Ganymede.

On my skin, it turns woody with a minty twist reminiscent of peppermint gum, mixed with something sweet and milky. It’s clean and fresh, with a hint of incense as it dries that makes it more masculine. Not bad, but it’s not for me 😕
