I bought this because reviews said it’s similar to This Is Her by Z&V, which I love, but it missed the mark. They aren’t even close, let alone cousins. The Zadig one is comforting, milky, and nutty; none of that is here. I don’t like the original Red Temptation, and this resembles it a lot—maybe less intense and sweeter—but those saffron, pepper, and unisex wood notes are there. The opening is deceivingly sweet, but the dry-down was 90% Red Temptation, so I had to shower; plus, I felt a burning sensation in my throat and nose from the pepper. If you like Red Temptation, Baccara Rouge, saffron, pepper, or unisex scents, you’ll love this. More reviews on IG, TikTok, and YouTube @probadoaprobado.
I bought it because reviews said it was similar to This Is Her by Zadig & Voltaire, which I love, but it was a mistake. They aren’t even remotely similar, nor are they distant cousins. The Zadig one is comforting, with milky and nutty notes, but there’s none of that here. I don’t like the original Red Temptation, and this one resembles it a lot, maybe a bit less intense and sweeter, but those saffron, pepper, and unisex wood notes are there (for me, leaning masculine). The opening can be deceiving because it has something sweet, but the dry down was 90% Red Temptation, so I had to shower; I also felt some itching in my throat and nose from the pepper. If you like Red Temptation, Baccarat Rouge, saffron, pepper, or unisex fragrances, you’ll like this one. More reviews on IG, TikTok, and YouTube @probadoaprobado.
Don’t let the notes fool you; it’s a dead ringer for This Is Her by Zadig & Voltaire. I think it’s very high quality, a better clone than Fields at Nightfall. It’s creamy, sweet, with good longevity and trail, though it feels oily on the skin. I really liked it. I’d love to know how saffron and tobacco achieve the same olfactory result as neroli, chestnut, and whipped cream in the original. Perfume mysteries…
Honestly, it didn’t work for me. It smells like Baccarat with a tobacco note that gives me a bit of a cringe, plus some floral touches mixed in. The performance is quite good, but it just doesn’t suit me.
I tried it on my wrist in the store yesterday in a rush, and watch out: more than 15 hours later, it’s still there. That’s weird because perfumes usually don’t last that long for me. A friend told me it reminded her of an ex, what a thing to say.
Even if the reviews are brutal, for me it’s an absolute bomb. It smells expensive, warm, and sensual, with a spicy kick and a heavy trail that lasts forever—it’s one of my favorites. It doesn’t smell exactly like Red Temptation, though they share a base, but not by much. Please try it 😭
Anyone saying it doesn’t smell like Zadig is either letting their skin overpower or highlight certain notes, or they didn’t let it dry down completely. On paper, they’re identical, so yes, it’s a clone… don’t get fooled. I’m already bored because people repeat this so much—pure, hard-core consumerism.
Anyone who says it doesn’t resemble Zadig is either letting their skin alter some notes and highlight others, or they haven’t let it dry down completely, because they’re identical even on paper, so YES, it’s a clone… don’t let them fool you. It’s annoying how much they repeat it; it’s pure, hard-core consumerism.
Despite the bad reviews I see, I think it’s an amazing fragrance. It smells expensive, warm, and sensual. It’s sweet, with a hint of pepper and a heavy trail with extremely long-lasting longevity; it’s one of my favorites. I don’t find it that similar to Red Temptation, though it does share some base notes, just not too much. Give it a chance 😭
It has excellent longevity; I still have clothes that smell like perfume. The downside is that it overwhelms me so much it gives me headaches. The opening is rich, with noticeable tobacco and saffron, but when it dries down, it leaves something that smells like cheap perfume, which makes me hate it.
It has excellent longevity; my clothes still smell like perfume. The downside is that it hits me way too hard, even giving me a headache. The opening is rich, with noticeable tobacco and saffron, but the dry-down leaves something that smells like cheap perfume, which makes me hate it.
I don’t get why people think it smells like This Is Her; every time I wear it, people ask. It’s definitely aggressive, but very special. Once it dries down, it smells ‘clean’—nothing like soap or green notes, more of a metallic clean, like a dentist’s office, that lingers in the back of your throat. Older ladies at my job hate it because it’s too floral, but girls aged 25 to 35 love it and ask for the name; even a coffee shop clerk wrote it down on a napkin. I’m from Valencia, and at Zara, both downtown and in malls, they almost never have testers for this scent; I think they’re not giving it the chance it deserves. If people tried it more, it would be one of the most talked-about due to its immense power and longevity. Kisses. Recommended for: anyone who wants to walk by and have people stop to see where it’s coming from, those who love an enveloping scent, and anyone who likes saffron because it lingers.
I don’t think it’s that similar to This Is Her, but it’s a fragrance that shines on its own. The trail, longevity, and projection are a solid 10/10.
