It left me speechless at first sniff; it’s a magnet for compliments. Very sweet, ideal for night, but its blend of amber, citrus, and cedar is pure magic for going out. It leaves a sweet trail on the skin, while cedar lingers on clothes, so if you’re a man, wear it on your clothes, and if you’re a woman, on your skin. Charming and perfect for both young and old. 8/10
My husband gifted it to me for Mother’s Day, and although it’s fresh with sweet fruity notes and lots of wood, it stays very masculine on me. It smells delicious on him, but the wood is excessive for me and bothers me after a few minutes. The longevity is incredible: I shower and it’s still there 18 hours without exaggeration, lasting on clothes until I wash them. If you like citrus, woody, fresh unisex perfumes with more masculine character, this is for you. As for value (it’s affordable), it’s worth every penny.
My husband gifted it to me for Mother’s Day, and to be honest, it smells too masculine on me. The opening is fresh with sweet fruity notes and lots of wood. I tried it on him and it smells delicious, but for me, there’s too much wood that bothers me after a few minutes. The longevity is incredible: I shower and it’s still there for about 18 hours without exaggeration, lasting on clothes until I wash them. It seems people confuse this Amber Oud with the Gold Edition, but in reality, it smells a lot like Interlude. It’s not a ‘compliment-getter’ perfume, although I like it; it’s serious and hard to please everyone. I find it smoky and spicy. The Gold Edition is a clone of Xerjoff Erba Pura, and while it’s easier to like, for me it was a bomb that harassed me until I threw it away because I couldn’t wear it on my skin; I felt it was very feminine, whereas this regular Amber Oud I consider more masculine.
I know the original Interlude; I tried it a while ago and don’t remember the scent clearly, but I do recall it was very pleasant. Fun story: the store clerk told me it was ‘honey-sweet,’ but the notes don’t include honey. Still, I confirm it smells like honey, though ultimately it’s just a classic woody amber.
I love it; it’s long-lasting and super rich, but be careful: don’t spray too many times because it smells beastly and becomes overwhelming.
100% masculine scent, a budget-friendly inspiration for Amouage Interlude Man. Even though Pierre Negrin created it, it’s a classic Westernized Arab niche aroma: dark as hell without being Attar-like, featuring spices, woods (cedar and non-fecal oud-like notes), resins (similar to opoponax and laudanum), and lots of amber. It has the same versatility as the original, meaning it’s only for the brave. Anyone claiming this is unisex is either smoking marijuana or using too much hairspray. Honestly, I’d feel weird smelling this on a woman. If you already own Interlude Man (even as a decant) or another clone/inspiration—there are quite a few on the market at great prices—buying this feels redundant. That said, it smells amazing and lasts incredibly long.
