My mom absolutely loves it; she has such a sophisticated palate, but I just can’t handle this scent. It literally smells like gunpowder. And I’m not just saying that because I once worked in a gunpowder factory for a while, and it smells exactly like that.
My mom absolutely loves it; she has such a refined palate, but I just can’t stand this scent. It literally smells like gunpowder. No joke—I once worked in a factory, and it smells exactly like that.
If you go to the fridge, take out a piece of ginger, slice or grate it, and then smell your fingers, that’s exactly what this Prada infusion smells like. It’s spectacular both in the realism of the aroma and its longevity; for a fresh, sparkling perfume, it’s crazy how long it lasts on skin and clothes. I can’t wait to enjoy it this summer!
If you go to the fridge, take out a piece of ginger, slice or grate it, and then smell your fingers, that’s exactly what this Prada Ginger Infusion smells like. It’s spectacular both in the realism of the aroma and its longevity; for a fresh, sparkling perfume, it’s crazy how many hours it stays on the skin. On clothes, I don’t even need to say. How am I going to enjoy it this summer?
At first, it’s a bit of a shock because it’s very spicy (like ginger), but after five minutes, it dries down to one of the most interesting scents I’ve ever tried, and I can’t quite describe it. The downside is that it doesn’t last long and fades into the typical soapy scent common to the line. I recommend trying it because it smells different on everyone. It lasts 3-4 hours on skin and longer on clothes. It’s a very peculiar, indescribable scent. I didn’t detect the green mandarin note.
The moment you put it on, it gives you a bit of a scare because it’s very spicy (like ginger), but after five minutes, it dries down to one of the most interesting scents I’ve encountered, and I can’t describe it with words. The downside is that it doesn’t last long and fades into the traditional talcum-soapy scent of the line. I recommend trying it because it smells different on everyone’s skin. I loved it! I’m sure it’s going to be part of the collection. A very realistic and spicy ginger. The longevity is quite good. It has become my favorite, right up there with the Almond Infusion.
Beautiful. I think I’ve found my favorite Prada Infusion; honestly, most of the ones I’ve tried are at an incredibly high level. Not much to say in this review—I haven’t tried every single one in the line, and I wouldn’t call myself an expert—but I suspect most of them follow the same structure: they open with a photorealistic aroma of the named note before evolving into that gorgeous, characteristic soapy dry-down. Here we have ginger; by itself, it’s not very smelly but has an intense flavor. The genius is recreating that flavor so accurately (don’t worry, it doesn’t sting, lol). Fresh ginger, unlike dried powder, has the magic of being fresh yet having enough character for environments that aren’t strictly summer, just like the scent recreated here. This perfume has the revitalizing effect of a citrus but enough character for more formal situations that aren’t overly hot; we’ll see how it holds up in the middle of winter, but it’s a much more versatile scent than it first appears, aside from the distinctive touch of using a rarely featured note. Beyond its functional advantages, it has captivated me personally; it’s extremely pleasant, and I’m likely to buy a bottle for this summer. Cheers!

Only the opening differs from the Vetiver Infusion. After 15 minutes, they are almost identical, so if you already own one, the other is unnecessary. It opens very powerfully, warm, and spicy. Those first moments are delicious, then that fresh, soapy part typical of the line appears.
