Moustache Eau de Parfum by Rochas is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto. • Just arrived and I just sprayed it on my arm. I can’t comment on longevity yet, but how good it smells is unbelievable. Bought for 20€ on Notino with a promo, and just for the scent alone, it’s worth it. It’s like a pure delight even if it lasts only 30 minutes. No age limit. It’s a treat. Update: I’ve worn it for 7 hours and can still smell it. I pleased my girlfriend and my sister. 100% recommended. At this price, you won’t find many better options.

  • Arrived today. The opening is delicious, but what surprised me most is the dry-down; I don’t know if others have noticed, but it reminds me of Cedrat Boise Intense. Maybe I should test it more to give a clearer verdict, but my first impression is that. Obviously, it’s an incredibly affordable fragrance with an exquisite scent. Longevity and projection are quite good so far, though I’ll need to test it in different situations. Yes, I recommend it.

  • Oloritos007

Just arrived. I’ve had it for a year and two months. I loved the scent: powdery, with a mandarin opening and a hint of pepper, then rose and cedar kick in, turning sweet and spicy. No one mentioned it here, but it reminds me of Dior Fahrenheit EDT until it dries down, which I love. Good longevity. I recommend it for the aroma and price; the trail is moderate. A solid buy with all the Bs. P.S.: There’s a slight Coca-Cola note once it becomes skin scent.

  • A full-on great fragrance! 20€ for 75ml seems ridiculously cheap. Maybe I’m just biased, but it feels like a super-elegant, super-sexy scent perfect for a winter night out—a date, party, or formal event—making it versatile. Performance is weak on my skin, lasting about 4 hours, maybe 6-7 on clothes, with moderate projection that’s easily boosted with a reapplication. The scent is very similar to Tuxedo, perhaps slightly woodier and more rustic, but without losing its quality. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it, and it’s becoming harder to find. Taste is subjective.

  • Rochas Moustache: I resisted buying it for a long time because comments said it had been reformulated and barely lasted, but I found it while walking with my wife. I had so many expectations I didn’t know what to expect. It’s a fragrance with elegance and distinction; I love the subtle, delicate but perceptible rose, which plays beautifully with a well-executed vanilla and mandarin. The pepper adds a very well-presented masculine touch, without being harsh, providing the right amount of testosterone to a delicate and refined composition. It’s warm, fine, elegant, sophisticated, and super sexy. A very pleasant surprise, and I can’t be happier given the price. Ideal for going out as a couple, its natural habitat is fresh and cold weather. My wife loved it. Although it’s not a monster in projection, in my case, it was clearly noticeable. If you find it at a reasonable price, it’s definitely worth it. Although I found it cheaper, I think paying around 70 dollars for 125 ml isn’t bad. Scent: 10. Projection: Moderate. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.

Setting aside the price, it’s a truly meritorious composition. Adding the price factor, it’s an absolute steal. It’s a non-youthful, non-mature, complex, and sophisticated scent, just like the DNA of the person it’s meant for. I owned and used Tuxedo for a while and eventually sold it; not for no reason, I bought it with certainty that it was great, but to be honest, it ended up boring me, and when something doesn’t fill the bill, it’s almost always better to move on, besides which I’ve developed a hatred for patchouli, which isn’t my thing. But here things change: this has more life, evolves more, with a super pleasant citrus opening that dries down to vanilla-rose-patchouli (I notice the patchouli much less, which is important), so characteristic of Tuxedo. To be honest, I’d like to treat it not as a clone, but I can’t ignore the extremely high similarity, especially in the dry-down. In performance, both do very well for the type of fragrance they aim to be. But as I said, having owned both, getting this around 20-75 euros… what can I say, ‘worth it’ is a huge understatement.

  • It’s the worst-performing fragrance out of my 15. After 15 minutes, it’s skin scent, and by an hour, it’s gone. As for the smell, don’t buy it if you’re under 30. It’s too old-fashioned, and I don’t think any 20-year-old woman would like it. It smells rich, but it’s not something you’d wear out in public. Luckily, it only cost me 20 euros.

  • Among those saying ‘Davidoff Cool Water is a beast’ or ‘Nautica Voyage is the ultimate freshie,’ comes ‘Rochas Moustache EDP,’ and it’s enchanting. You have to laugh: there’s a Spanish saying that when a fool catches a pretty girl, he follows her and never lets go. That’s what happens with YouTubers nowadays; one says ‘this is super mega cool’ and the others repeat it like parrots. If you want to smell like your grandmother in the 70s (mind the nuance, not the grandfather version), this is undoubtedly your perfume. It’s ultra-synthetic in the top, heart, and dry-down, headache-inducing, and one of those that gives you a migraine. Very vintage and feminine, a mix between grandma’s hairspray and amber blush. As a lover of 90s and classic perfumery (Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Drakkar Noir, Guerlain Heritage, Habit Rouge, Quorum…), please don’t add this aberration to this group. I’ll say it and repeat it: DO NOT BUY PERFUMES BLINDLY. Test it first and don’t believe everything reviewers say. Cheap comes expensive. Only buy what you personally like.

  • I love the scent and the price-to-quality ratio is hilarious, but the longevity is short. Perfect for occasions where three hours of sillage is more than enough. It opens effervescent, spicy, and luminous, drying down to a clean rose with vanilla and woods that give it body. The resin adds a nice touch. Composition-wise, it shines. Price-wise, too, though it hurts that it fades so quickly. I accept that at 25 euros, it could definitely join my collection.

  • nicovega209

Absolute beast! I’ve been dying to try this for years, and that red pepper opening note is incredible. 100% romantic, perfect for chilly days.

  • True that the price is ridiculous, though I can’t find the vanilla anywhere. I do perceive the pepper and the rose everywhere, to the point where it becomes overwhelming. Don’t even think about wearing this in an enclosed space; it gives me a headache. But if you’re going out on the street at night and it’s cold, it’s very good. I see it as unisex and don’t think it’s for everyone, but for what it costs, take the chance; but if you’re expecting a sweet gourmet fragrance, forget it.

  • I waited a long time to try it. Maybe due to the hype and the faith I had, my expectations were too high. The truth is, it didn’t fully convince me. It smells different, has its charm, but definitely not for me. I bought a decant and used it in various situations. It seems to lack potency; you can feel the rose and woods, but very timidly. It doesn’t feel formal or sexy to me. Perhaps other Tuxedo family members have more presence (Kismet is even softer, after all), but this one seems stuck in no man’s land. Obviously, a large percentage of people love this perfume, and I’m happy for them. Sadly, it disappointed me. Fundamental to test before, if possible, but please, try it!

  • I was looking for a vanilla perfume different from the ones I have; the only one with such a strong note in my collection is Khamrah Qahwa, which isn’t its main note either, so I looked for this, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. Right after spraying, it smells fresh yet warm and evolves great thanks to the pink pepper; it feels elegant without being too complex, which suits it well since less is more. As it dries down, it reminded me of Givenchy Reserve Privé, but without that somewhat ‘plastic’ note the latter has; in Rochas, it smells softer and more pleasant, great even in summer for cool days, definitely a good blind buy, no regrets, and I’m waiting for winter to see its full potential.

  • I picked it up because of the good reviews everyone posted online, and pff… I can’t stand it; that sweet note turns me off. I’ve tried it several times and it just kills the vibe 🙁 For me, it was a good lesson in not blindly trusting the hype. Definitely, do not recommend buying without trying.

  • Some comments I read here are unfair. This doesn’t smell like grandma, nor do some grandmas have such adventurous tastes. It’s a perfume that works, but it’s not a marvel that will make women ask what you’re wearing; however, it is pleasant. You can’t expect more for what you pay; it delivers.

  • pedroresti

You see the notes and it catches your attention, especially with the hype, like a clone of Tuxedo. It’s very similar, though with less punch than Turathi Brown. Personally, it’s a fragrance I don’t like at all. Neither the vanilla nor the woods, and yes, a rose and patchouli scent that I honestly think is for an older lady.

  • I’m going to be a hypocrite because I absolutely love it. I admit I’m looking for distinct perfumes, not too commercial, but this Moustache has surprised me for the better. Excellent value for money for me. After two hours, I’ve already received three compliments, and for the jealous ones: no, it’s not from the same person, and everyone is under 37. The trail is moderate, maybe lower than I’d like. In longevity, so far, I’m getting four hours and it still smells when I move. It’s not tiring, perhaps because it’s a novelty. I don’t know, I’ve loved it from the bottle to the fragrance.

  • I owned it and got bored quickly because I felt it was too mature for my taste, so I gifted it away. Over time, I became a fan of retro, classic, old-school, and gentleman scents, and started remembering it with affection to buy it again. It’s not entirely old-school, by any means. It’s one of those rare cases that perfectly blends a vintage vibe with modernity; it’s a modern Top Gentleman to the 100%.

  • Josué González Céspedes

One by one with Tuxedo, thanks to Andrés Croxxato for the push; he wasn’t wrong, it’s a marvel.

  • I bought Rochas Moustache a year ago and it was hard to get used to; reading the notes, I expected something else. The opening is exquisite, with a very prominent natural mandarin, woods, and floral undertones, but as it dries down, the patchouli takes over, though the mandarin remains, and the vanilla is there but very subtle. I recommend it for those over 25, but be careful: don’t buy blindly. It shines in the cold and at night, although there are better options for that. It’s citrusy, slightly sweet, woody, with a very noticeable spicy base.

  • Yay! The fragrance is a hit for people who have turned gray. The opening is so pleasant that when it dries, about half an hour later, I get an olfactory drop that sometimes doesn’t recover. Opening is a realistic and tasty mandarin. Upon drying, a constant note of very muted rose wraps around (in my case) with earthy patchouli, something woody, and an oriental touch I’d say is cinnamon or some ingredient with an oriental nod. I wore it daily until mid-spring; on my skin, it loses a lot in the heat. I pick it up again in September and for 8 or 9 months I don’t leave it on, Monday through Friday. P.S.: it has a flaw I forgive for the price; it’s a moody fragrance; some days it lasts great and others it disappears, some days it projects decently and others it stays skin scent. Anyway, a moody fragrance. Cheers.

  • zmjuanpablo

Well, I have no reservations about this fragrance regarding performance or price, which is very convenient. Regarding longevity: if I apply it on skin or bed linen before sleeping, it’s still there when I wake up, so I’m satisfied. My problem is that it smells outdated, doesn’t it? Like an old man. Its sweet notes with vanilla and the floral base don’t give me a very masculine vibe. Maybe in 10 more years.

  • Candrezfernandez

Very rich perfume that stands out from the crowd. If you’re looking for something that smells different, this is it, but watch out: if you’re looking for something normal, don’t buy this and try it first. It generates compliments.

  • I think it’s a very good fragrance. I disagree with those who say it smells like an older person. My only objection is the longevity, really very short. Otherwise, the mandarin feels sophisticated and the scent is very rich.

I had to give an opinion on this perfume, a weakness in my collection. I can only speak in raves. A scent that, as they say, follows the DNA of Tuxedo, which I never tried. Since I didn’t know the YSL one, this Rochas Moustache EDP seemed different and novel in the designer world. Opening with effervescent mandarin and pink pepper; then fresh, vibrant, cheerful rose enters, like morning dew. Cedar adds cleanliness, sobriety, and masculinity. The magic happens at the base: benzoin resin, bourbon vanilla caramelized and toasted with patchouli, which darkens the rose like at sunset, leaving a masculine, caramelized, and toasted vanilla in perfect balance. It generates mystery, sensuality, and seriousness. The bottle is incredible, elegant, heavy glass, and dark amber liquid that hints at a warm, enveloping scent. Accessible price for 125ml, very good aromatic quality. If I had to choose one word: Refined. It doesn’t smell old or like an older person. It’s refined, mysterious, elegant, sensual. Ideal for Bruce Wayne on a romantic date at a luxury restaurant with a cello. Season: Autumn/Spring. Use: Nighttime, admits cold days. Attire: Semi-formal and up. Character: Sensual, serious, conqueror. Situation: Dates, dinners. Not youthful or fun. Longevity: Average, 4-6h. Projection: Medium/Low. Sillage: Medium. Age: 30+. Gender: Male. Quality: 8.5/10. Recommendation: Yes! Although if you like current super-sweet and simple scents, this wonder isn’t for you. ▪️ Dr. Peste ⚕️

Reformulated. The new bottles aren’t like the 2018 ones; those had a vanilla-amber look with balanced woods, spices, and rose. That version is gone, and when I tried the new ones, I noticed they cut back on the amber and added more orange. I found the longevity to be short and the projection weak.

  • Franbarber

For me, it’s better than the original; I have Tuxedo, but I prefer Moustache. My advice: don’t spend 300€ on Tuxedo when you can get a better one for 30€. That’s what someone who only buys niche says.

  • aljfragancias

A perfumery gem that seems to be discontinued every day. I keep it like gold in a safe; a backup is mandatory just in case. It’s a softened, complementary version to Turathi Brown. Which one is closer to Tuxedo? No idea, I haven’t heard it, but both are wonderful. They are earthy, slightly citrusy, with a very subtle sweet and chocolatey touch.

  • blvck-w-wilson

I bought this blindly based on good reviews and have zero regrets. It’s very sophisticated, pleasant, and different from everything else I own. The composition is top-notch. As for projection, it feels more intimate; if you don’t like to scream for attention, this is for you. The bottle is beautiful and the sillage is incredible. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the longevity is a bit short: max half an hour with a strong scent, and by the third to sixth hour, it’s skin scent. For the price, I have no complaints, but when I wear it, I reapply several times a day. Wish it lasted longer. It makes you fall in love with it. For the price, it’s delicious and high-quality; it feels like you’re wearing a fragrance worth triple the cost. Totally recommended.

  • What can you expect from a 20€ perfume that’s a chameleon, features a spectacular glass bottle with a cap better than many niche brands, and offers a balanced fragrance that kicks the butt of Arab aberrations? Despite being reformulated, it keeps getting sold because people love it. Sorry, but I don’t get the snide reviews of this cheap gem; ‘Oh my god’… I’d be indifferent to any other cheap junk, but my Moustache… Mmmmm. Edit: I have a 2023 batch and this beast is performing amazingly. Perfect 7-8 hours. I’m blown away; the first year I was scraping by with 5 hours. That’s what quality and oxidation are about.

  • ManucoSeven

It convinced me much more than Turathi Brown, as it’s at least a sweet and more serious scent. It still reminds me of that sweet spicy tamarind from the Wini palette, haha, but this seems much more usable. It’s a very particular scent, for special occasions but nothing bold or risky. I consider it can be used in summer at night.

  • It’s a very masculine perfume that’s generally well-liked, even though it’s not a bomb. It might seem mature, but a young person could wear it without any problem on special occasions like a date, paired with good clothes.

  • I’ve read all the reviews and it seems there’s nothing new to say 🥲. It’s an elegant men’s scent totally different from today’s perfumes. Here you won’t find those typical notes of leather, lavender, amber, or incense. This is pure elegance, sophistication, and luxury on another level. ❌ Projection and longevity are scarce. Although we can’t complain about the price, you have to apply it generously and reapply. However, I think that gives it a touch of mystery: people feel something in the air but don’t smell it with full intensity. P.D.: The first time I used it, I put on about 15 sprays. In less than 30 minutes, I already received 3 compliments (1 man and 2 women). I was shocked, haha. I have at least 120 fragrances and I like to use them all, so I don’t use Moustache much, but I should have.

  • Fragranticman

For those who like the DNA of the now discontinued YSL Tuxedo and know it, they’ll love this; for those who like that DNA but don’t know it, you can buy it blind. It’s not my style, but I can’t deny it’s a great fragrance for what it offers and the price. It has sophistication and elegance thanks to a patchouli sweetened with vanilla in a sober way, nothing loud. There are also other Arab options that are even cheaper than this.

  • I was going to write a review, but Esencio couldn’t articulate exactly what I think better than that. I subscribe to every word. It’s a perfume with a wonderful aroma; in my opinion, few designer fragrances smell better than this, exactly as is. No modern gimmicks, no trends, and neither outdated nor old-fashioned. Perfect for any situation, season, day, or night… But it’s a shame the performance is worse than mediocre, even with excessive sprays. The sillage stays in a personal bubble, feeling decent for about two hours, but by the third hour it drops off a cliff, and by the fourth you can barely smell it on your skin. All of this, despite letting it macerate for two months with no improvement whatsoever. The price fluctuates quite a bit, and you can find the 75ml bottle in a range of 20 to 40 euros. In my case, it was 30, but if you find it for 20 euros, I can recommend it if you’re looking for a perfume for intimate moments, friend or family gatherings, office work, etc. If you find it for 30 or more, I don’t see it as a great purchase overall, especially if you plan to wear it out unless you carry an atomizer and intend to empty half a bottle in one long night. P.S.: I haven’t seen any comments reflecting on this, and I’m surprised, but given that I also love Acqua di Gio Parfum and seeing the similarities in their dry-downs, I suppose it’s due to the resins and patchouli both declare.

  • The scent is amazing: few men’s perfumes are based on rose, and this is one of the few that does it well, moving away from current trends to offer something timeless. The flaw is that it projects nothing; more than a meter away, no one notices you’re wearing it, so it’s just for your own enjoyment. It’s impossible for me not to lift my arm to smell it twice after applying it. I’ll try other options like Turathi Brown to see if they perform better, but, without it being a bad purchase at all (it cost me 20€), I can’t recommend something with such poor performance. Scent: 8/10, Projection: 4/10, Longevity: 5.5/10.

  • Lucapereirafitperfumes

What a delicious fragrance, super addictive! It’s one of my favorite scents; if it didn’t have such a weak sillage and longevity, it would be my signature perfume. If Tuxedo smelled like this but with more projection and longevity, it would be worth every penny, honestly.

  • This scent is in a league of its own, better than what you’ll find in perfumeries nowadays. Elegant, seductive, and addictive: if you spray it on the back of your hand, you can’t stop leaning in to smell it. It has class, so you need to dress well to wear it. It’s subtle; it’s not a beast or an intoxicator; that’s not its job. It wants to invite you to get closer, to investigate where it’s coming from, because it’s a scent of closeness, of a hug, of intimate conversation. It’s true it doesn’t last 8 hours, but 4 or 5 is perfectly fine, and if you grab a decant and refresh, you’ll get all the compliments. Plus, it’s perfect for a summer night. Maybe you won’t smell it among One Million, JPG, or Invictus, but that’s not its league; its league is elegance. I think it suits mature men over 35 best, and on a woman… I can imagine it and I don’t dislike it at all. In short, it’s a mature masterpiece that should be in any serious collection.

  • Very rich. At first, it smells like vanilla, but over time it shifts to mandarin with a sweet spicy touch, probably from the pink pepper. Then the rose and vanilla appear subtly. Nothing heavy, elegant, and perfect for cold weather. Buy it blind; it smells incredible.

  • Finally, my take: it’s a spicy, vanilla, and amber blend. It opens with super-real pink pepper, like you just crushed it in your hand; spicy, fresh, and fruity all at once for about 10 minutes, with the mandarin adding body. The heart doesn’t shine; cedar and rose stay in the background to round things out, not as protagonists, but adding complexity. The base is the star: sweet, balsamic benzoin resin, addictive, with an unobtrusive vanilla that’s spicy and warm, plus a patchouli that gives a tobacco-like kick without actually being tobacco. The base lasts 6-7 hours. It smells a bit ‘old school,’ not for anyone under 25 unless they’re rocking an elegant outfit. Good longevity, a delicious but moderate sillage that invites people to get closer; on certain skin it smells like a ‘gentleman,’ but women absolutely love it. Works well in cool or mild daytime weather; lacks depth in autumn/winter nights, but is ideal for spring (up to 25°C) or spring evenings. Pairs well with casual or formal wear. It’s literally like spicy vanilla. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something different, versatile, and with that ‘something’ that attracts women. Quality, bottle, and overall experience are top-notch, and the more you use it, the more you’ll like it. Scent: 8.5/10, Price: 9.5/10, Versatility: 7/10, Sillage: 5.5/10, Longevity: 6.5/10.
