Moustache Eau de Parfum by Rochas

Very rich. At first, it smells like vanilla, but over time it shifts to mandarin with a sweet spicy touch, probably from the pink pepper. Then the rose and vanilla appear subtly. Nothing heavy, elegant, and perfect for cold weather. Buy it blind; it smells incredible.

What a delicious fragrance, super addictive! It’s one of my favorite scents; if it didn’t have such a weak sillage and longevity, it would be my signature perfume. If Tuxedo smelled like this but with more projection and longevity, it would be worth every penny, honestly.

I was going to write a review, but Esencio couldn’t articulate exactly what I think better than that. I subscribe to every word. It’s a perfume with a wonderful aroma; in my opinion, few designer fragrances smell better than this, exactly as is. No modern gimmicks, no trends, and neither outdated nor old-fashioned. Perfect for any situation, season, day, or night… But it’s a shame the performance is worse than mediocre, even with excessive sprays. The sillage stays in a personal bubble, feeling decent for about two hours, but by the third hour it drops off a cliff, and by the fourth you can barely smell it on your skin. All of this, despite letting it macerate for two months with no improvement whatsoever. The price fluctuates quite a bit, and you can find the 75ml bottle in a range of 20 to 40 euros. In my case, it was 30, but if you find it for 20 euros, I can recommend it if you’re looking for a perfume for intimate moments, friend or family gatherings, office work, etc. If you find it for 30 or more, I don’t see it as a great purchase overall, especially if you plan to wear it out unless you carry an atomizer and intend to empty half a bottle in one long night. P.S.: I haven’t seen any comments reflecting on this, and I’m surprised, but given that I also love Acqua di Gio Parfum and seeing the similarities in their dry-downs, I suppose it’s due to the resins and patchouli both declare.

I’ve read all the reviews and it seems there’s nothing new to say 🥲. It’s an elegant men’s scent totally different from today’s perfumes. Here you won’t find those typical notes of leather, lavender, amber, or incense. This is pure elegance, sophistication, and luxury on another level. ❌ Projection and longevity are scarce. Although we can’t complain about the price, you have to apply it generously and reapply. However, I think that gives it a touch of mystery: people feel something in the air but don’t smell it with full intensity. P.D.: The first time I used it, I put on about 15 sprays. In less than 30 minutes, I already received 3 compliments (1 man and 2 women). I was shocked, haha. I have at least 120 fragrances and I like to use them all, so I don’t use Moustache much, but I should have.

It convinced me much more than Turathi Brown, as it’s at least a sweet and more serious scent. It still reminds me of that sweet spicy tamarind from the Wini palette, haha, but this seems much more usable. It’s a very particular scent, for special occasions but nothing bold or risky. I consider it can be used in summer at night.

I bought this blindly based on good reviews and have zero regrets. It’s very sophisticated, pleasant, and different from everything else I own. The composition is top-notch. As for projection, it feels more intimate; if you don’t like to scream for attention, this is for you. The bottle is beautiful and the sillage is incredible. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the longevity is a bit short: max half an hour with a strong scent, and by the third to sixth hour, it’s skin scent. For the price, I have no complaints, but when I wear it, I reapply several times a day. Wish it lasted longer. It makes you fall in love with it. For the price, it’s delicious and high-quality; it feels like you’re wearing a fragrance worth triple the cost. Totally recommended.

For me, it’s better than the original; I have Tuxedo, but I prefer Moustache. My advice: don’t spend 300€ on Tuxedo when you can get a better one for 30€. That’s what someone who only buys niche says.

I had to give an opinion on this perfume, a weakness in my collection. I can only speak in raves. A scent that, as they say, follows the DNA of Tuxedo, which I never tried. Since I didn’t know the YSL one, this Rochas Moustache EDP seemed different and novel in the designer world. Opening with effervescent mandarin and pink pepper; then fresh, vibrant, cheerful rose enters, like morning dew. Cedar adds cleanliness, sobriety, and masculinity. The magic happens at the base: benzoin resin, bourbon vanilla caramelized and toasted with patchouli, which darkens the rose like at sunset, leaving a masculine, caramelized, and toasted vanilla in perfect balance. It generates mystery, sensuality, and seriousness. The bottle is incredible, elegant, heavy glass, and dark amber liquid that hints at a warm, enveloping scent. Accessible price for 125ml, very good aromatic quality. If I had to choose one word: Refined. It doesn’t smell old or like an older person. It’s refined, mysterious, elegant, sensual. Ideal for Bruce Wayne on a romantic date at a luxury restaurant with a cello. Season: Autumn/Spring. Use: Nighttime, admits cold days. Attire: Semi-formal and up. Character: Sensual, serious, conqueror. Situation: Dates, dinners. Not youthful or fun. Longevity: Average, 4-6h. Projection: Medium/Low. Sillage: Medium. Age: 30+. Gender: Male. Quality: 8.5/10. Recommendation: Yes! Although if you like current super-sweet and simple scents, this wonder isn’t for you. ▪️ Dr. Peste ⚕️

Very rich perfume that stands out from the crowd. If you’re looking for something that smells different, this is it, but watch out: if you’re looking for something normal, don’t buy this and try it first. It generates compliments.

Yay! The fragrance is a hit for people who have turned gray. The opening is so pleasant that when it dries, about half an hour later, I get an olfactory drop that sometimes doesn’t recover. Opening is a realistic and tasty mandarin. Upon drying, a constant note of very muted rose wraps around (in my case) with earthy patchouli, something woody, and an oriental touch I’d say is cinnamon or some ingredient with an oriental nod. I wore it daily until mid-spring; on my skin, it loses a lot in the heat. I pick it up again in September and for 8 or 9 months I don’t leave it on, Monday through Friday. P.S.: it has a flaw I forgive for the price; it’s a moody fragrance; some days it lasts great and others it disappears, some days it projects decently and others it stays skin scent. Anyway, a moody fragrance. Cheers.

I’m going to be a hypocrite because I absolutely love it. I admit I’m looking for distinct perfumes, not too commercial, but this Moustache has surprised me for the better. Excellent value for money for me. After two hours, I’ve already received three compliments, and for the jealous ones: no, it’s not from the same person, and everyone is under 37. The trail is moderate, maybe lower than I’d like. In longevity, so far, I’m getting four hours and it still smells when I move. It’s not tiring, perhaps because it’s a novelty. I don’t know, I’ve loved it from the bottle to the fragrance.

Some comments I read here are unfair. This doesn’t smell like grandma, nor do some grandmas have such adventurous tastes. It’s a perfume that works, but it’s not a marvel that will make women ask what you’re wearing; however, it is pleasant. You can’t expect more for what you pay; it delivers.

I was looking for a vanilla perfume different from the ones I have; the only one with such a strong note in my collection is Khamrah Qahwa, which isn’t its main note either, so I looked for this, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. Right after spraying, it smells fresh yet warm and evolves great thanks to the pink pepper; it feels elegant without being too complex, which suits it well since less is more. As it dries down, it reminded me of Givenchy Reserve Privé, but without that somewhat ‘plastic’ note the latter has; in Rochas, it smells softer and more pleasant, great even in summer for cool days, definitely a good blind buy, no regrets, and I’m waiting for winter to see its full potential.

True that the price is ridiculous, though I can’t find the vanilla anywhere. I do perceive the pepper and the rose everywhere, to the point where it becomes overwhelming. Don’t even think about wearing this in an enclosed space; it gives me a headache. But if you’re going out on the street at night and it’s cold, it’s very good. I see it as unisex and don’t think it’s for everyone, but for what it costs, take the chance; but if you’re expecting a sweet gourmet fragrance, forget it.
