Have you worn Man Uomo?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Just tried it and the first impression is that it’s a combination of notes I like. I like spicy perfumes and this one is. In the opening, I notice citrus and cinnamon with a sweet touch, very gourmand. I don’t detect pepper. Soon after, nutmeg and woods come in, and it stays there, which is good because I don’t like smelling like a pastry. The gourmand effect disappears quickly, leaving the spices and woods, which I appreciate. As a proposal, it’s not bad, but it suffers from the same issue as Zara’s (except Vibrant Leather): poor trail and low performance. It lasts very little, but as a daily eau de toilette, it’s not bad. After half an hour, it’s close to the skin as a pleasant base. I know Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf, and Man Uomo resembles it in notes (cinnamon and nutmeg), but Spicebomb lasts 24 hours and justifies its price. It’s a pity Man Uomo is so brief, but at that price, what can you expect?

  2. No denying it has a huge resemblance to One Million, 212 VIP, and similar ones, which I find heavy, unwearable, overused, making the scent feel unoriginal and too easy to spot. But Zara Uomo has a trait that makes it more wearable: it’s not as potent, so it’s more versatile (though I doubt wearing it in summer or heat, but for the rest of the year, day or night, it works). If you like the previous ones, you’ll like this too (except for the typical alcoholic opening that lasts about five minutes). Cinnamon stands out in the dry-down, along with other base spices, maybe nutmeg. It has its own personality; it doesn’t seem like a total clone, but a variation. Longevity is good in cold climates, lasting 5-6 hours with moderate projection of 1-2 hours. Sold in a pack with Zara Silver for under €13, not bad at all.

  3. It’s undeniable that it’s very similar to 1M, 212 VIP, and others like them, which feel heavy, unwieldy, and overused, making the scent unspecial and very recognizable. But Zara Uomo has a plus: it’s not as potent, so it’s more versatile (though I doubt it works in summer or heat, but for the rest of the year, day or night, it’s perfect). If you like the perfumes mentioned, you’ll like this too (except for the typical alcoholic opening that lasts 5 minutes). The cinnamon stands out as it dries, along with other spices in the background, perhaps nutmeg. It has its own personality, seeming more like a variation than a pure clone. Good longevity in cold climates: 5-6 hours with moderate projection 1-2 hours. Sold in a pack with Zara Silver (100ml) for less than €13 together, not bad at all. Cheers.

I was so eager to find an affordable alternative to One Million, but what a huge disappointment. After my success with Zara Man Silver, I dared to buy two 30ml bottles of Man Uomo and Man Gold. Man Uomo opens violently and rudely, very potent cinnamon, lots of spices, and a slight citrus touch; it’s a nose-bleeder for me. After 2.5 hours, it becomes friendlier and starts to faintly remind me of One Million, lasting another 3 hours close to the skin. Longevity: 7, Projection: 8, Sillage: 8, Price: 8 (I bought the 30ml version to test, only then is it worth it). Rating: 7.75. Recommend trying it first; if you’re looking for something similar to One Million, it could be an option, but if it doesn’t work for you, save your money and buy the original. Personally, I don’t recommend it.

I was really looking for something cheap and similar to One Million, but I was hugely disappointed. After my success with Zara Man Silver, I dared to buy two 30ml bottles of Man Uomo and Man Gold. Man Uomo opens violently and rudely, very potent cinnamon with lots of spices and a slight citrus note; it hurts my nose. After two and a half hours, when the projection drops, it becomes friendlier and then reminds me slightly of 1M close to the skin for a few more hours. Longevity and projection: 8. Price: 8 (only worth it in 30ml to test). Overall rating: 7.75. If you’re looking for something similar to 1M, it could be an option, but if it doesn’t work for you, save up and buy the original. Personally, I don’t recommend it.

I decided to buy it online, read and heard good reviews and felt encouraged to get it. The truth is, I’m not regretting it, it’s quite good, very similar to 1M for sure, I compared them on each wrist. Watch out, the opening isn’t similar, but after 10-15 minutes you feel the 1M. Longevity of about 4 hours, I’d add a fifth; it stays very close to the skin. Trail goes from low to moderate: moderate at the start, then very low. Cost-performance: I paid the double pack with the Silver for 350 pesos MX, that is, less than 200 each. Quite a good price for a fragrance similar to a big brand, with good trail and longevity. Option for those who don’t want to spend much and still smell good.

I bought it for my boyfriend on February 14th. I don’t know much about men’s perfumes, I just like the classic Hugo Boss, but this Zara one made me ecstatic, it smells delicious (I had to try it 😁 haha). The first thing I noticed was the cinnamon, a bit strong but not synthetic; over time I identified the pepper, and although it doesn’t have lavender, I also sensed a bit of it. In short, it smells delicious. I’m eagerly waiting for Valentine’s Day to give it to him and devour it with hugs and kisses. I’m not exactly sure about the longevity, I took a shower after an hour, but I think it will last about 4 hours. For me, as a woman and perfume lover, it’s a delight.

Well, it reminds me of something like Cuba Royal. I don’t have 1M or 212 VIP, so I don’t know if they’re similar, but it reminds me more when smelling close, up close to the skin; in the air it smells with its own style, I suppose the cinnamon does great work to recall those fragrances. Trail and longevity are normal, tending towards seven hours, so there’s nothing to complain about, although I have to try it more. I got it along with Zara Man Silver which has the identical bottle for just €12.95, three euros more. I wouldn’t use it with much heat, but for cool summer nights, yes. Conclusion: Recommended, especially with that juicy pack.

  9. FeeltheSmell

Reminds me of Cuba Royal. Since I don’t own One Million or 212 VIP, I’m not sure if they’re similar, but to me, it sticks closer to the skin and has its own vibe in the air; I guess the cinnamon does the dirty work. Sillage and longevity are average, about seven hours, so there’s no need to complain. I picked it up along with Zara Man Silver, which has the identical bottle for just €12.95, three euros more. I wouldn’t wear it in heavy heat, but for cool summer nights, yes. Verdict: recommended, especially with that bundle.

  10. Juanpasiones

It smells like a mix between 1M and 212 VIP, so another spawn between Ms. Carolina and Mr. Paco. Trail and durability are average, for the price you can reapply without remorse and the scent feels good quality, a thousand times better than the nauseating pirate copies of both parents. Perfect for the party, party night, and all kinds of nighttime celebrations. That said, the scent is more than cliché, but well, it smells good, that’s what’s important. Everyone adds certain nuances based on their skin type and personality.

Perfect for the party, night out, and any kind of celebration. The scent is cliché, but it smells good, which is what matters. Everyone adds their own nuances based on their skin and personality.

  12. Top fragrance. Although it’s a clone of One Million, it has details that smell better to my nose. It has that classic mature vanilla touch, like Opium Men, in the heart, and the blackcurrants are definitely noticeable. For the price, what it offers is incredible. I’m not a fan of 1M, but I like its scent, so I prefer this over paying a fortune for something so common, since it has that particular touch that makes me enjoy it more.

  13. Top fragrance. Although it’s a clone of One Million, it has details that smell better to me. It has that classic, mature vanilla touch, like Opium Men (bet those are the blackcurrants). For the price, what it offers is brutal. I’m not a fan of the original, but I like its scent, so I’d rather pay less for something with that particular touch that makes it more enjoyable.

I love the scent, I give it a 10. It’s very similar to Paco Rabanne’s One Million, but the Zara one has a different note, let’s say they’re 90% alike. Where they differ the most is in longevity and trail, a real shame. This Zara one doesn’t last me more than an hour; I’ve tried many ways, even 20 sprays on skin and clothes, and nothing, there’s no way.

In short, it’s the classic 1 Million at a steal price. I wouldn’t recommend it for 2026 because it smells dated and not current. The longevity is average, about 5 hours with a trail for the first hour; you need more than 7 sprays to make it last. If you like the DNA of the original, it’s worth it for the quality-to-price ratio.

Well, what can I say about this sweet fragrance… it’s very similar to One Million Privé Mandarin. The cinnamon isn’t the same but goes in the same direction, it’s very similar. It brings compliments and women young women like it a lot. I’d buy it again, the price is unbeatable: $16 and we’re already entering 2019.

I liked the scent when I walked by Zara, then I found out it was a clone of One Million that I’d never used. Once I bought the original, I stopped using it; when I do use it, I spray it to death, I can’t wait for it to run out. Aside from being an imitation, it barely lasts a couple of hours on skin and up close.

I liked the smell when I walked past Zara, then I found out it was a clone of One Million that I hadn’t used. Once I bought the original, I put it away, but when I do use it, I spray it until I’m dizzy. Aside from being an imitation, it barely lasts a couple of hours on skin and right next to the skin.

An alternative to Paco Rabanne’s One Million, very well executed with that characteristic pepper note, slightly sweet but not overdone. Longevity is decent, 5 to 6 hours. Zara perfumes don’t stand out for longevity, and this is no exception; if you want it to last, give it some good blasts. 8/10.

It seems like a good fragrance for the price, it has quite a resemblance to 1M PR or 212 VIP CH. Its trail is very poor, but for days when you want to go unnoticed and smell good, it’s perfect. For $20 you get a duo. Scent: 8/10, Trail: 7/10, Longevity: 6/10, Price: 9/10.

I’m totally saturated of One Million and wouldn’t buy it again, but this Zara one is very similar and for 3 euros I got the 30ml version. Whenever I want to remember the original, it does the trick without having to spend on the real version.

  22. Cjj109

Nice scent. I bought it as a dupe for One Million. It has some resemblance, but it’s far from the level of the original. The projection isn’t the best, but it works for simple occasions. You can’t ask for more at this price.
