Man Silver by Zara

I used this as my signature scent years ago and now it brings back nostalgia. It smells very similar to Gucci Guilty; it’s masculine and perfect for everyday wear or special events. It’s a great fragrance, but the downside is the terrible performance: it lasts very little and the projection is almost non-existent.

It smells spring-like, clean with lemon and classic with neroli. It seems like a dupe of Gucci Guilty, but clearly more diluted and less intense. It’s a classic blue fragrance, easy to wear, though weak in longevity and projection. For under $25, it’s worth it. It smells a bit like talcum powder soap, with a semi-sweet woody base and an almost imperceptible touch of wild pepper. For picky noses, it might sound synthetic, but it’s not scary. It’s ideal for the office or enclosed spaces. For me, it’s 2/4: lasts 4 hours with a trail for about an hour, then sits close to the skin. Recommended if you like relaxed blues, not intense ones. I like it for the price, though there are better options.

Call me crazy, but this is one of the few Zara perfumes I’ve loved for its smell. It lasts about 3 hours and longer on clothes. It has a good trail but isn’t heavy. It’s perfect for everyday wear or maybe summer. Just keep in mind you’ll need to reapply every 3 hours.

A fresh and clean scent, ideal for daily wear. You have to apply quite a few sprays because the performance in this type of fragrance is what it is. Very pleasant for going out and at a great price. It’s true that it reminds me of Gucci Guilty, but in this case, it’s a fairly simpler formulation. You can’t ask for more.

A clean fragrance for daily use, simple and reminiscent of someone neat. On the positive side, unlike Invictus and its flankers or most current perfumes, there’s more room for floral notes than citrus (bergamot and pepper are everywhere), making it better balanced. It’s not something sweet that bothers or too “masculine.” The cleanliness it achieves isn’t soapy or powdery to the point of being heavy in warm weather or giving an old impression. I see it specifically for going to a non-formal but neat office. Don’t expect projection or longevity; it’s worth it if you like it and it performs a bit on your skin.

Starts super citrusy, warm, and spicy. An explosive, sparkling lemon refreshes everything, accompanied by lavender and pepper that create a strong spicy accord. At the end, the lemon still stings softly with the spicy touch fading in intensity, while neroli and orange blossom appear, giving a velvety sensation. The flowers dominate until almost the end, when cedar and sandalwood enter, closing with a very masculine woody finish. Ideal for warm or temperate climates, versatile and comfortable for any day.

It’s pleasant and linear, citrusy and fresh. But with just 7 sprays, it’s barely noticeable; you only smell it on yourself.

Unlike others, this Silver lasts quite a bit on me, especially at night if the temperature isn’t over 72 degrees. It’s very similar to Polo Red, it’s cheaper, and in my case, it has better longevity.

For the price, you can’t ask for more. It’s the go-to workhorse for daily chores: grabbing bread, taking out the trash, or going for a walk. Citrusy, fresh, and friendly, perfect for spring and summer. It smells a lot like Gucci Guilty.

Oh Zara! You have some marble and some sand. I was going to review the Gold, but everyone has already said how sublime that jewel is, so I came for the Silver. Is it good? Yes. It’s fresh, summery, and the name fits because I detect a metallic or iron-like aroma. I like it because, being summery, it’s not cheerful but tries to serve formal occasions thanks to the bitter orange flower. But that’s where my praise dies. I feel like the designers took a risk but weren’t given the chance; the fragrance feels incomplete, and I’m sad because the salinity is very good and you can notice the care in replicating Guilty at a low price. That synthetic cedar at the end and the total lack of sandalwood scent, which could have been a different and pleasant experience, ended the Silver. It’s an average fragrance that doesn’t cast a shadow on its sister GOLD.

Zara Man Silver was my perfume of last summer; I used it a lot because it’s one of those that go instinctively. It has a lavender and lemon opening that I enjoy a lot. Soon the white flowers appear, which, along with the opening, give it that cheerful and sparkling character ideal for summer. The lemon becomes slightly sweet over time, without going overboard, but stops being purely citrusy to become a bit sweeter. It’s very pleasant, giving that relaxed vibe that fits perfectly with warm seasons. Longevity isn’t the best; it lasts about 3 hours, but for 12€ in a pack with another perfume, you can’t ask for more. It’s a shameless clone of Gucci Guilty Pour Homme; it doesn’t reach the same league as the original, but it’s very well done in terms of quality and price. A great buy if you want something floral/fresh for any occasion (spring-summer), cheap, and liked by everyone; it’s more than enough for compliments, it’s one of the ones that has given me the most praise. As for the scent, I really like it. For the price, you barely notice it’s synthetic; it’s quite fresh, citrusy with that touch of lavender, and pepper on the base. The problem? Like most of Zara’s fragrances, it doesn’t last more than an hour and a half or two. What a pity.

At first, it smells citrusy and fresh, but with a moderate seriousness. The orange blossom is subtle at the start and then intensifies. After a few minutes, the pepper and a touch of lavender are still there. The clean sensation mixes with the citrus acidity and lavender; when I breathe it in again, the cedar takes over. I wore it in November on a hot afternoon that cooled down, and it worked perfectly.

I bought this fragrance; I was actually after the Zara Gold, which is similar to Black XS, and they came in a combo for a cheaper price. It’s true it resembles Gucci Guilty. The scent is very good, fresh, citrusy, and has a touch I can’t quite describe—maybe metallic—but generally, it smells great. The weak point is that it doesn’t last at all; literally, I feel it projects for 30 to 40 minutes and then disappears completely, with very low sillage.

A fragrance very similar to Gucci Guilty, but I perceive it as slightly fresher. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s more intense on the citrus side, the floral, or both, but this characteristic makes it very suitable for spring weather (in fact, it reminds me a lot of this season) and also for summer, though it doesn’t look bad the rest of the year. As a daytime scent, I see it as very versatile. Longevity on my skin has been great, easily surpassing 4 hours and much longer on clothes without needing to overapply. Projection is moderate but noticeable despite being fresh and not heavy. Overall, it’s a scent I love, and I can’t evaluate it objectively because it brings back very good memories, plus it’s a steal (I got it in a pack with Zara Uomo for €12.95), so you can’t ask for much more.
