Lira by Xerjoff

I was given a sample and it was both a yes and a no. I took my time deciding to add it to my collection. It smells like freshly baked lemon cake, very gourmand. I’ve had it for a year but don’t wear it out; I’m in love with it and sometimes spray it at home to enjoy alone. The girl who gave it to me said it reminded her of Devotion, but when I tested both on my arms, they deceived me—they’re different things. I enjoyed both, but I threw away the D&G one because I ended up hating it and thought it would make me hate Lira. However, after returning from vacation and trying Lira again, I realized they don’t even remotely resemble each other. Edit: Every time I wear it, I get a sweet craving. I say, wow, that smells delicious, and then I remember it’s perfume. I don’t find it funny smelling like lemon cake; it’s not my favorite and never will be.

Oh, what a lovely perfume. Very citrusy at first, quickly moves to the heart, and I love closing my eyes because the notes are distinct and balanced. Egyptian jasmine, cinnamon, and licorice. All present, with a smoky touch that makes them slightly darker without clumping them together. It becomes soft, and the caramel really stands out. Beautiful for autumn, winter, and night. Nice sillage and projection without being overwhelming. If you like warm and enveloping scents, give it a try. Curiously: I notice more caramel on my wrist and more vanilla behind my ears. I have a decant and it will go into my collection. If you like Casamorati, Lira will seduce you. A fine sweet, like its name suggests, an instrument with a sumptuous melody. For dancing.

I bought a decant to try it without risking much, since there are no testers here and the price is high for a blind buy. I must say the scent is delicious; it doesn’t resemble anything I’ve smelled before. Unfortunately, I never got to try Lolita Lempicka’s L because they discontinued it, but the longevity is pitiful on my skin (barely 2 hours), which stopped me from buying the full size. Luckily, I found an inspiration from Parlour Perfumes that is identical; plus, since it’s an extrait, it has beastly longevity of over 12 hours on skin. I’ll keep buying the alternative, which is much more economical and durable than the original.

I couldn’t be happier with this perfume in my collection. A while ago I tried Devotion and was disappointed because it was simple and didn’t last long. I looked for similar scents and found Lira. I read that it didn’t last long and was scared, since on my skin perfumes usually don’t last. I bought the 30ml and I’m head over heels. It’s sweet and delicate, lasted about 8/9 hours, and I can smell it strongly for the first 4. It smells like lemon shortbread dough with butter, vanilla, and caramel. When I finish the 30ml, I will definitely buy the 100ml. I love it.

At first, it smells like bug spray, like Raid, lasts ten minutes, and then changes. It becomes creamy and settles into the scent of a lemon pie, not a direct citrus. It stays like that until it fades, without lasting many hours, very soft. I didn’t like it at first, but what a surprise; with more use, I’m discovering nuances I absolutely love, I think we’ll get along well. When it dries, it smells very similar to Kayali’s Vanilla 28, minus the spicy pepper note that the latter has.

I might be crazy, but it feels more like Musc Ravageur than Devotion to me. On my skin, it lasts about 7-8 hours with notable projection for the first hour and a half, which is perfect for this type of intimate vanilla fragrance. The drydown features a vanilla note subtly accented with cinnamon, licorice, and caramel, plus a sandalwood/musk combo that gives it body and density. The opening is obviously loaded with citrus, dominated by orange.

The first time I smelled it, it didn’t fully convince me; I liked it, but not enough. After several months, I tried it again and it fascinated me on my skin. Indeed, it smells like a lemon tart; it’s gourmand, but on me, the citrus note of bergamot (which I adore) dominates, which is exactly what I wanted since my gourmand phase is long past. As it dries down, it becomes creamier and softer, a marvel. In the end, I bought the 30ml bottle.

I really like it, but more for winter. It’s a bit like Lolita’s L, but it has its own Xerjoff/Casa Morati DNA. To me, in its final drydown (around 6 hours), it resembles Mancera’s Black Vanilla in its drydown. At first, they don’t resemble each other at all, but in the end, that powerful, powdery, slightly musky vanilla emerges, which is addictive and clings to the skin.

But what a lovely perfume. It’s my first gourmand, and it opened my curiosity to explore more. An opening of orange and vanilla, smelling like a baked, vanilla-infused dessert, exquisite to my nose. A super edible aroma; not everyone likes smelling so much like ‘food,’ so I recommend trying it first.

It’s my favorite perfume today; I don’t know how to describe it without doing it justice. It’s like a lemon-orange pound cake with lots of vanilla, but it always retains a perfumed quality, not just edible. It reminds me of Lolitaland but more refined. It lasts forever and projects wildly.

I’m thinking of buying it this Christmas. It represents Christmas to me: holiday sweets, frosted citrus fruits, butter cookies, and vanilla candies. It’s not just any perfume; it’s magical, even the bottle has a Christmas color 🎄🎁 EDIT: I already bought it. Yay.

What a beautiful scent, it’s the glaze on a citrus pudding that dries down to smell like pure candy, a delicious vanilla. I really can’t imagine my collection without this piece; it’s a gorgeous, seductive yet not obvious fragrance for women.

It’s similar to Devotion, but at first it’s bitter before the sweet lemon comes through. In my opinion, it lacks intensity; for the price, I expected more projection. I prefer Devotion because it’s more musky, sweet, and gourmand.

I love it, but the longevity is super short 🙁 I thought it was just my skin, so I shared some decants and everyone had the same experience: an incredible fragrance that disappears in no time.

A vanilla where there isn’t one. Now, for the exorbitant price it has, it would be appropriate for it to last more than 30 minutes… what a pity because it smells incredible.
