It smells like almond marzipan!! It brings back memories of cold, winter, and Christmas. It’s comforting and even sexy depending on the occasion. The trail and longevity are huge; with just 2 sprays, I smell like a warm bun for two days. Very gourmand. If you like marzipan, it’s delicious; if not, run! You have to test it on your skin before buying. It’s an irresistible sweet, but only for cold weather; in the heat, it can overwhelm sensitive noses.
One word: marzipan. Sure, it probably smells like other things too, but upon smelling it, the marzipan scent was so realistic and sweet that my brain couldn’t tell if I was smelling or eating something. A literal confusion of the senses. I ended up keeping Lira, but Itálica left a mark on me; maybe it’ll be my next one.
The first time I smelled it, I was confused, but when I tried it again, it drove me crazy. I already took the 30 ml, and when I finish it, I’ll buy the 100. This doesn’t get old on me; it’s a masterpiece, my favorite alongside Lira.
Itálica is perhaps the most appealing niche gourmand on the market. Its lactonic notes of almond, vanilla, and toffee make it an absolute edible delight. Performance is amazing; it’s a compliment magnet with a sweet, sticky trail. Available in 30 or 100 ml; I grabbed the 30 for special occasions, and it lasts a long time. Give it a try, it’s a true Italian gem. Total recommendation for anyone seeking something unique and delicious.
If you’re looking for something more long-lasting than Sol de Janeiro 71, this isn’t your spot. While they share a base, here saffran takes the lead and changes the whole game. Right out of the bottle, it smells like burnt cookies—very heavy. In-store, it gave me a sore throat; I love gourmands, but this one just doesn’t work for me. Plus, in Mediterranean weather, it fades in under 30 minutes.
