I’d been on the wishlist for a while and today I bumped into a Xerjoff stand; I went straight there without hesitation. I asked to try it, he put it on a blotter, and what? Can I put it on my skin? He applied it to my arm and again, what? I’d read it was potent 🙄, but it’s freezing out there and its opening isn’t strong at all, will it be heavy artillery on me? That initial softness left me perplexed, but then it evolved into something special: a sweet, sexy, and addictive floral. What a delight! How good it feels in this annoying cold, but there’s always a catch: it’s so similar to my two loves, Golden Powder by The House of Oud and Cuir Noir by Armani Privé. Today Bouquet Ideale is off the wishlist: beautiful, but I already have the same thing. Moderate projection, 8 hours of longevity. Feminine. Autumn-Winter.
Bouquet Ideale doesn’t live up to its name. If you’re looking for floral, it’s not that. It’s more like a bunch of fine barks and woods. It’s not gourmand either; it’s sweet but light, without evoking food. It turns out spicy, woody, soft, and warm. As it dries, a nice vanilla appears, always accompanied by cinnamon and woods. I liked it, but it’s not my favorite from Xerjoff, and although it lasts well, I expected a stronger trail. It’s moderate-soft, but on skin it lasts more than 12 hours. It’s very similar to Raghba by Lattafa, a much cheaper option. Raghba is less complex, drier, and more incense-like. I’ll enjoy Bouquet Ideale in winter for comfort at home, but with Raghba, I won’t repurchase or buy the full bottle (I have a decant of Yuniqui for traveling). Maybe I’ll try mixing vanilla into Raghba to get closer to its sweeter finish. Scent 7/10, Longevity 10/10, Trail 6/10, Value 4.5/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.
What a delicious fragrance. Tremendous evolution and top-notch performance. It’s woody, sweet but without going overboard. It opens spicy (the cinnamon is very noticeable, without being gourmand), then dries down to reveal a creamy sandalwood base mixed with vanilla and tonka bean, a smoky and animalic touch. Seductive, elegant, and very wearable. 100% unisex for me. Ideal for autumn/winter, although I’d use it on cool spring nights. Projects moderately-high for the first 3-4 hours without being ‘beast mode’, but it’s noticeable. 8-10 hours on skin. Exquisitely balanced. If you like woods, try it, but don’t buy it blindly.
What a rich perfume. It has an incredible evolution and lasts forever. It’s woody and sweet but not overpowering. At first, it smells of spices, especially cinnamon, without being too sugary. Then the woody base emerges, like sandalwood, creamy from the vanilla and tonka bean, with a smoky, soft touch but a hint of animalic character. I find it seductive, elegant, and very wearable. I see it as 100% unisex. Perfect for fall and winter, though I’d also wear it on cool spring or summer nights. On me, it projects well for the first 3-4 hours without being a beast, but you can tell it lasts longer. It stays on skin for about 8-10 hours. I love it; it’s perfectly balanced. If you like woody scents, give it a try, but don’t buy it blindly.
I tried it in a decant and, watch out, I won’t sleep soundly until this beautiful floral aroma is mine. On skin, it lasted more than 9 hours with a moderate trail and projection, exactly what I was looking for.
Bouquet Ideale doesn’t live up to its name. If you’re expecting floral, be warned: it’s not that. This bouquet is more like a bunch of fine barks and woods. It’s not gourmand either as sometimes categorized: it’s sweet but only slightly, without evoking anything edible. It turns out spicy, woody, soft, and warm. As it dries, a nice vanilla comes out in the background, always accompanied by cinnamon and woods. Although I liked it a lot, it’s not one of my favorites from Xerjoff, and despite having good longevity, I expected a stronger trail. It’s moderate-soft, although on my skin it lasts more than 12 hours. Indeed, it’s very similar to Raghba by Lattafa, a much more economical option. Raghba is less complex, drier, and more incense-like. In short, it’s a perfume to enjoy in winter, seeking comfort on lazy afternoons at home, but since I have Raghba, I won’t repurchase or buy the full bottle (I have a decant of Yuniqui, my obsession for traveling). Maybe I’ll try adding a vanilla base to Raghba from time to time to approximate the sweeter finish of Bouquet Ideale. Scent 7/10, Longevity 10/10, Trail 6/10, Value 4.5/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.

Based on the name, you’d expect flowers, but not so much! It’s a spicy woody scent with a super cozy gourmand touch. It starts sweet and fruity, like red berries, giving warmth and relaxation, before turning powdery, dry, and smoky. The resinous vanilla is dark, sweet, and warm—very nice. It reminds me of a lighter version of Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, though it’s not the same. As it dries down, the spicy notes become silky with a subtle floral hint. It’s warm, sweet, dry, and talcum-like, seductive and elegant. Ideal for fall and winter. I see it as feminine unisex; the performance isn’t bad, though I expected more. The sillage is low but lasts 7-8 hours, more than Lira or Dama Bianca, less than Italica. I’ll use the sample in fall to see if I buy the bottle.
Due to the name, one would think ‘Bouquet Ideale’ is floral, but it absolutely isn’t! It’s a spicy woody scent with a cozy gourmand touch. For me, it has a sweet and fruity opening (giving me a sensation of red berries) that provokes warmth and relaxation, turning into a more powdery, dry, and smoky aroma as the sweetness fades and spices come to the forefront. The resinous vanilla is dark, sweet, and warm, very pretty. The tobacco flower and spices give the vibe of a lighter version of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, although they aren’t similar. As it dries down, the spicy notes become more silky with a subtle floral spark. It’s warm, sweet, dry, and talcum-like. It’s also seductive, intoxicating, and elegant. A special aroma for autumn and winter. I see it as feminine unisex, and the performance isn’t bad, although I expected more. The trail is low and longevity is high, around 7-8 hours. For example, it lasts longer than Lira or Dama Bianca, but less than Itálica. I’ll use the sample in autumn to see if I want to buy the small bottle.
Bouquet Ideale is a spicy and woody fragrance. You can imagine it just by looking at the notes: nutmeg, cinnamon, woods, a very slight smoky touch, and a bit of vanilla. It has a moderate trail; my partner, sitting less than a meter away, could smell it softly until we left, which was eight hours later, so the longevity was also good for me. It’s a warm and comforting scent, very autumnal and winter-like. Although the trail feels nice, I see it more for daytime because it’s not loud; it’s not the aroma for going to a cocktail party at night. Of course, this is an opinion; there are people who don’t use perfumes by season or hour, but for those who do, this is how it feels. It’s totally unisex for me. I liked it, although it doesn’t surprise or enamor me for the price. Maybe I’ll change my mind later, but at most I’d buy the small one costing around 100 euros; I can’t imagine spending 300 on this type of fragrance because it’s lovely, but it doesn’t impact me enough to spend that much.
Bouquet Ideale is spicy and woody; what you see in the notes is what you smell: nutmeg, cinnamon, woods, a light smoky touch, and a bit of vanilla. It has moderate sillage; my partner smelled it faintly from less than a meter away until we left, and it lasted 8 hours, so the longevity is good. It smells warm and comforting, very autumnal and wintry. Although the sillage is fine, I see it more for daytime because it’s not loud; it’s not for going out for a night cocktail. It’s totally unisex for me. I liked it, but it doesn’t surprise or captivate me given the price. Maybe I’ll change my mind later, but at most I’d buy the 100-euro sample; I can’t imagine spending 300 on this because it’s lovely, just not impactful enough for that price.
Pure woods and super realistic. I’m getting to know the brand and I love it. Their scents are so faithful that gourmands seem edible, while woods and flowers feel tangible. This smells like Christmas time, with wood and baked cinnamon—a sweet but subtle touch. The woods blend very creamily. I feel it’s unisex, but on my skin it leans more masculine. It’s not for me, what a pity. Luckily, I only have a 5ml decant. The good thing is that I tried to rub it off my arm and it didn’t work; after washing it, my husband said it smelled strong from another room. Fixation and projection seem good. I think those who like unusual and super-powerful perfumes will love it and can wear it with great elegance. Personally, I’d love to smell it on a man, but it depends on who wears it.
I bought a decant and thought my nose was failing because I could barely smell it. I applied the whole decant and it’s still the same: I only detect some spicy notes with vanilla that disappear from my skin in two minutes. Very frustrating. At this price point, it’s just not worth it.
Disappointment. I expected something else and it’s a clone of Lattafa’s Raghba. Given the price difference, I expected some evolution to justify the purchase, but there isn’t any. I can’t find a reason to buy this over the Arabic version for a tenth of the price.
BOUQUET IDEALE by XERJOFF: it overwhelms me. It’s one of those perfumes that start as nothing but end up smelling like luxury. It smells like silver, money, gold, dollars, a new luxury hotel chair, a plane, extreme cleanliness, and lots, lots of air conditioning. I’d wear it to take a flight.
Funny because I spray it and smell nothing. Ten minutes later, boom! A very invasive wood. I’ve never experienced another perfume like this.
The moment I sprayed it, I knew I’d smelled it before and had it in my closet. The heart phase is almost identical to YSL’s Belle D’Opium.
Gourmand? Yes, because I’d drink it. It has that spicy and vanilla touch like an old cola refreshment, especially after a few hours. At first, it smells like Arabic perfumes. I’d love to smell it on a man, but the trail is short; I’d wear it myself in autumn because the woods are very soft.
To me, it smells like sweet oud and floral, a perfume of high refinement. Not for the nose uninitiated; this is for those with long experience in top-tier fragrances.
It’s the same scent as Raghba. Just here, the base notes feel higher quality, but at its core, it’s the same as the Arabic version.
Not a blind buy, it’s challenging but pretty if you get the dosage right. It’s an intense mix of ambered vanilla and woods, nothing youthful. The spices stand out, but I don’t smell anything resembling Raghba; it just smells like cheap petrochemical fixatives.
Maybe it’s my bottle, but it smells weak to me. I don’t feel the sweetness or the notes they claim it has. Between the papyrus and musk, it ultimately just smells like old parchment.
Bought it blind and, while it’s not the bombshell that fills the room, I think it fits Paulir well. It stays very close to the skin, just a slight touch of wood. Glad I didn’t grab the 100ml bottle because the ‘storm’ after the calm never really kicks in here.
