  • I was going to buy it blind to see if it resembled the gorgeous L’Interdit by Lolita, which would be too beautiful to be true… and I don’t know how I’m going to fall in love without the bitter orange, tonka bean, and immortelle. But I’ll try it; besides, the price is very affordable, around 20 euros. Once I try it, I’ll write my opinion, since there are no comments on it yet and I don’t have your great reviews to guide me. Let’s see if it’s the right one!!! 🙂 Well, three days later I think I can comment, although I need more time to get to know it. I really like how it smells, but I admit the first impression wasn’t good. It is true that it resembles the L, but the first contact on my skin didn’t please me. It smelled of strong, slightly acidic alcohol, like almonds with lemons or something, not very pleasant for me. Shortly after, I noticed a toasted scent on my skin, which was still not very pleasant… it reminded me of a cheap imitation of the L I bought, which only smelled of alcohol, even somewhat masculine. And finally, after a while, that sweet and creamy scent appeared; for me, that’s the smell of Christmas. Warm, sweet with cinnamon cooking in the wood-burning oven on a Christmas morning with my grandmother in the kitchen, and decorations adorning the house with a beautiful snowy landscape through the window. That was the magic of the L, and Tendre Madeleine has that resemblance. But I see an important negative side: I would have preferred to pay double to increase its quality. It barely lasts on the skin; I have to spray it several times, which I don’t like because the start is always alcoholic and strong, and because it takes time for that sweet scent I like to appear. And the pity is that when it does appear, it’s not too present. Sometimes when I move, this rich sweet scent comes, and sometimes it doesn’t. This Christmas sweet is shy. I’ll keep insisting, as from the first day to today my opinion has changed for the better. A few days later I can comment even more positively! I use it daily, and it’s true that I don’t like the bitter initial scent, but quickly (in a few seconds) that little cinnamon and vanilla sweetness appears, a cream cake, cookies, or I don’t know if a mix of all of them, but mm so delicious, quite gourmand. And today I can definitely say I received my first compliment wearing this scent; I entered a store and the salesperson told me I smelled wonderful, that it drove him crazy, asked if it was vanilla, and then said it wasn’t just smelling good, but that it made him want to hug me… haha, so be careful girls wearing this perfume, they might try to bite you 🙂

  • I bought it blind expecting a clone of the L’Interdit by Lolita, which sounds too beautiful to be true, without the bitter orange or immortelle. At 20 euros, it’s a good price, and at first I thought I wouldn’t like it. The opening was a strong, acidic alcohol, like almonds with lemon, nothing pleasant, followed by a toasted note that reminded me of cheap, masculine imitations. But over time, that Christmas magic appeared: sweet, creamy, like cinnamon cooking in the oven with my grandmother and snow outside the window. It’s a very shy Christmas sweet that doesn’t last long, and I have to reapply, because the start is still strong and the sweet isn’t always present. Nevertheless, my opinion has improved a lot; now I use it daily, and although I don’t like the bitter beginning, seconds later that sweetness of cinnamon, vanilla, and cookies appears, super gourmand. Today I was complimented in a store saying I smelled wonderful and that it made them want to hug me, so be careful girls, they might try to bite you.

  • Although I’m not a fan of gourmands, I ordered it online because the notes called to me so much, and I’m into oriental vanilla scents; plus, the price on online perfumeries is excellent. It comes in 100ml of Eau de Parfum, but the projection and longevity are a bit short, more like an EDP with the staying power of an EDT. Many associate it with L’Interdit by Lolita Lempicka, though I don’t know that one to comment. The truth is, its name ‘Tendre Madeleine’ is spot on: it smells like a tender madeleine with a touch of orange and cinnamon. The opening is sparkling with bergamot and cinnamon, fun and original, and as it settles, it leaves an enveloping, warm, and comforting scent, perfectly unisex. It’s tender and gives you the urge to hug. It didn’t fall in love with me, but I love how it sits on my husband’s skin; he’s worn it until the end and it doesn’t get old. It’s sweet without being cloying, with a balanced formulation where the bergamot, almond, and woody notes keep it from being heavy. We won’t repurchase it due to the short longevity, but for the price, it’s worth trying, especially if you like L’Interdit by Lolita Lempicka. It’s easily recognizable, perfect for autumn and winter. It has a plus: it’s phthalate-free and uses 100% organic alcohol.

  • The resemblance to L’Interdit by Lolita Lempicka made me buy it blind, and yes, it does resemble it quite a bit, although its projection and trail are lightyears away from the original. Despite that, it’s a delight. It opens very strong with bergamot but settles on the skin in minutes with a pleasant cinnamon and then some sweet almonds that envelop you in warmth. It’s a perfume that caresses and embraces you with a special warmth. The dry-down is tender and fluffy, like a madeleine with a slightly woody vanilla that wraps you like a soft winter blanket. I’d wear it a sweet, pleasant girl or a guy who wants to smell great. It’s a gourmand scent but nothing cloying, a good price for something considered niche. I’m happy to have it and will definitely buy it again.

  • The resemblance to L’Interdit by Lolita Lempicka pushed me to buy it blind, since that perfume is in my top favorites, and yes, it does resemble it quite a bit. The downside is that in sillage and trail, it’s lightyears away from the L. But anyway, this perfume is a delight. It opens with a very strong bergamot that disappears in minutes, settling on the skin into a pleasant cinnamon scent. Then a sweet almond note appears, adding warmth that envelops you and makes you feel very comfortable. Some perfumes caress and embrace with a special warmth, and this is the case with Tendre Madeleine. The dry-down remains tender and fluffy like a madeleine; a slightly woody vanilla wraps you like a soft winter blanket. I’d wear this a sweet, feminine girl, the nice girl you’d love to be with (or a guy, since it also has to smell great). A sweet, gourmand scent but nothing cloying. A niche perfume at a very good price, highly recommended. I’m happy to have it in my collection and will definitely buy it again.

  • I don’t know how L’Interdit by L’Artisan Parfumeur smells, but I know how Initio’s Absolute Aphrodisiac smells, and I have to say they are quite similar—not in composition or quality, which would be like comparing Beluga caviar to Mercadona ham, but in the notes. Without the animalic castoreum, Madeleine has a citrus touch that makes it more wearable. Absolute Aphrodisiac is a powerhouse for close-range wear. I combined them today, and the mix is quite interesting.

  • If you want to smell like a cupcake 🧁, Salamanca cookies, and little cakes with that dry flour and sugar touch plus a hint of orange 🍊, try this cologne. They achieve a bakery scent without being cloying; it’s a warm, happy treat. In the end, smelling like a madeleine is pure happiness. As it evolves, it reminds me a bit of bubblegum.
