Well… I’m a fanatic for Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances, and as soon as I saw it in a department store, I rushed to buy it. And I have to say, it disappointed me a bit. It doesn’t smell bad; it’s a scent that opens fresh with a marked lily note, feels aquatic and salty, and later dries down to a fruity side (I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is) with a vanilla base. It’s pleasant, fresh, sweet, and carefree, but it doesn’t resemble any other from this house. It’s a fragrance that, for me, would fit better with one of the Marc Jacobs Daisy line, as it’s cute, youthful, and casual. I don’t feel it’s like Jean Paul Gaultier, which, in my opinion, makes spectacular and very special fragrances. That said, the longevity is excellent (7-8 hours), although after 2 hours, it becomes a fragrance with light-to-moderate projection.

  • Yesterday around 7 PM, I found a tester for Fleur Terrible. I had been hunting for it for weeks. I sprayed three times on my wrist. Today it’s 11 AM, and without having showered yet, I can still smell its remnants sticking to my nose. Its longevity on my skin is very good, especially considering that perfumes usually don’t last long on me, and for a couple of hours I felt it projecting acceptably, reappearing intermittently afterward. I liked it, much more than La Belle, which I find barely similar to it. This one is cheerful, solar, slightly aquatic, nothing like that heavy, cloying, and affected sweetness of La Belle. The salty coconut and vanilla give it a tropical, carefree touch, yet it’s also creamy and powdery, a combination that I particularly enjoy, although I admit it’s not the peak of originality these days. I need to do more testing before deciding whether to pay the 70 euros the 100 ml bottle is currently costing, which, by the way, is a piece of art. I’ll keep a close eye on it.

I was really eager to try this perfume. Its bottle is one of the most beautiful out there, but not so its scent… I found it terrible. A very rancid opening, like stale cookies or barley, something very off. After a few minutes, it started to feel somewhat floral in the background with the iris; however, I wasn’t able to keep wearing it, so I washed my hand. My opinion is too subjective because I hate the iris note, and this is definitely no exception. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few more years I liked it, but for now, this perfume is a resounding NO for me.

  • I received this beauty yesterday. I had tried it in-store but it didn’t grab my attention at the time (I was saturated from smelling about six perfumes before), yet I still bought it with an online discount. On my skin, it worked magic. It feels tropical and summery but quite intense. As they say, it also smells like coconut to me. It has a certain resemblance to Montblanc Signature, giving off that vibe, though they aren’t the same; does it contain Ylang Ylang? (It seems so, and also because it’s described as aphrodisiac). I wore it yesterday afternoon and woke up today still smelling it. Finally, my husband complimented it, and that’s a huge honor for a perfume.

There are few declared notes, but it has coconut, even if they don’t say so. I liked it; it doesn’t resemble any of its sisters. The opening is fresh, and you feel the alcohol, but once it dries down, it transforms, and that’s where the fun begins. I felt it was a familiar scent, and what a surprise when I went to smell La Vie Est Belle Soleil! XD. I know they are very similar, by the way, the flanker of La Vie Est Belle Soleil has nothing to do with the original. It’s a unique thing so they don’t associate the Fleur Terrible as being super sweet, although it is sweet, it’s fresh. It doesn’t have great projection but lasts quite a while on skin.

This scent, uhhh, I fell in love with it; I finally have it. For me, it’s addictive; I’m not a huge fan of Gaultier, but this scent… creamy, overflowing with sensuality, delicate, those aquatic notes sweet to me, not salty, the water lily so delicate, I appreciate a bit of violet and iris… the vanilla base is like it escalates. I declare it my scent of this summer. It has won me over.

  • Whitewaterlily89

I’m not a huge fan of the La Belle line or JPG in general (they overwhelm me), but this has been my summer discovery. What a delight. I love that exotic touch that takes me to a paradisiacal beach with lush vegetation and flowers. It’s fresh and sweet at the same time, super addictive. The trail is medium-low, but the longevity on skin is extremely high, at least in my case. My boyfriend absolutely loved it, which is admirable because he only wears it once every 10,000 times.

  • mayialsava

What a delicious fragrance on my skin. It opens fresh and sweet without being cloying, with a delightful coconut that persists throughout its life before drying down into a coconut-vanilla combo that fascinates me. Even though it has coconut, it doesn’t feel particularly summery to me; rather, it feels cozy and sexy. My husband was also fascinated by it. In my opinion, it’s more of a daytime scent. The trail is moderate, about 3 hours, then it sits close to the skin, but the longevity exceeds 8 hours. I’m head over heels; I want to buy a backup before this limited edition runs out.

  • Princessmar

I went crazy over the bottle; it looks like it came straight from a dream island, and every detail screams what it smells like: summer, colorful, and full of nuances. It delivers on its promises. Unlike its sisters, which are red, nocturnal, and vampiric, this one is sweet and playful for day and night—a sugary woman who later seduces you with sensuality. It reminds me of La Vie Est Belle Soleil Crystal, very similar, with a touch of Womanity by TM, but more of the former. It definitely has that water lily note at the start that smells aquatic, then dries down to reveal the sweet, powdery side. I think they declare fewer notes than it actually has; I’m sure it carries coconut and some sweet woody base. For me, it’s a 10 in scent, trail, and longevity; I was surprised and bought it blind. If you like coconut and vanilla, this is the one.

I’ll briefly tell you how I met this fragrance. I was looking for attractive jewelry, found a beautiful stand, nothing expensive but refined. I bought several things, including clothes, but didn’t have money for everything. The girl kindly offered to reserve it if I committed to picking it up. The next day, my husband went to pick up the accessories. When he got home, he noticed an exquisite smell and couldn’t find the source. Upon opening the jewelry box, an enveloping, elegant, and sweet fragrance invaded my senses. What happened? My husband saw the beautiful bottle and sprayed the tester on the cardboard. He innocently put it inside the bag with the items; every piece was perfumed, I went crazy smelling them. I had to try it. We agreed to go on Sunday to test it on my skin, which devours almost all perfumes due to my pH. I applied it with the tester and let it dry. It has a potent opening for a light fragrance, projecting generously for 3 hours. Here comes the magic (on me): it settles into a fine dry-down, not childish or vintage. On me, the vanilla stands out, along with the iris, and I’m sure it has Tonka Bean, perhaps almond. I thought it would last four hours, but no! It stayed on my skin for almost 24 hours even after I showered. I think it’s aimed at all women who enjoy a discreet but present fragrance, for the woman who sticks with strong fragrances like me. Since the first three hours project a lot, I don’t owe anything regarding its incredible longevity, in eras where commercial perfumery doesn’t offer many good options at a fair price. It’s not expensive at all considering the quality. I tested it fresh here in Argentina, and based on comments, it will be enjoyed more in hot seasons. I received it as a gift from my husband; today I already have another bottle to keep enjoying because I haven’t seen a quality, aroma, and price so non-abusive for a long time. I recommend it for any occasion if you’re looking for something discreet but not absent. It’s a gem… what a pity it’s limited edition, I think we need perfumes like this. I’d love an intense version to turn heads, but with this one, I’m more than satisfied. I encourage you to try it, and if you like it, don’t let it pass. Hopefully, there are enough units for everyone to enjoy. Greetings!!!

  • What a lovely combination of floral wrapped in sweet and fresh vanilla, so youthful, spring-like, and luminous!!! Finally, it arrives in the country in its launch year, at a reasonable price and in a gorgeous box, ideal to gift on ‘Spring Love Day’. The longevity is interesting; I just tested it on my skin and I like it quite a bit. The beautiful bottle, although I associate it more with the lilac color than turquoise. It’s not an oceanic fragrance, but rather a blooming garden. Honestly, I don’t relate it to Mugler’s Womanity as mentioned; this one is saltier and more exotic, while Belle Fleur is basically an infusion of iris and white flowers, moving away from the Womanity concept. Regarding the name, Belle Fleur is fine, it’s very cute and not terrible.

  • Perfumepassion

I tried it in-store and something weird happened: as soon as I applied it to my skin, I detected a note also present in the 360 Perry Ellys, something melon-like that made me recoil. Plus, it smells like two different perfumes living together but not mixing; there’s no chemistry between them, as if I sprayed one and then another on top. It didn’t convince me.

  • What a surprise for me 🙂 I don’t like the La Belle, Classique, or JPG lines in general; they seem too sweet, powdery, and strong… etc. I’ve liked this one quite a bit, despite the iris; it doesn’t seem powdery to me, but rather a fresh floral, slightly sweet. Even though coconut isn’t listed, I perceive a certain coconut water aroma. The only thing I don’t love is that I feel it’s a bit synthetic. Great option for spring or hot climates. Rating 8/10.

  • Clarifying that this is just my opinion on first impressions: I perceive very marked and clear notes of coconut and water lily. Both coexist, though unfortunately without integrating. It throws me off a bit, as if it smelled like two different perfumes superimposed: one aquatic, fresh, and floral, and another sweet and fruity coconut. It smells good, but it doesn’t conquer me. Especially because of that present coconut/fig note found in recent perfumes, sweet and sticky, which results in being tiresome and not subtle for me. Examples: Olympea Solar, Lady Million Fabulous, and Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Intense (listed as fig).

  • I tested it at the perfumery. It has the La Belle aroma, but here I sense something silky and coconutty, very soft, sweet, and rich. But it didn’t tell me anything else.

  • VanillaDream

I love it, it’s delicious. On me, it’s sweet and powdery. Besides vanilla, I read it has almond milk. I think the opening has a salty touch, maybe a bit of sea salt. It looked much better on me at 15 degrees than at the 40 degrees it’s making today. It has a strong opening, so I see it more for the middle of the season rather than extreme heat. Also, on me, it projects and lasts a ton.

  • I love it! It smells like summer and feminine, but not like a baby’s rose 😜. It doesn’t remind me of anything, but smelling my arm is addictive and makes me happy. Scent 9/10, Sillage 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Bottle 8/10, Uniqueness 9/10. Occasion: summer, starting in the afternoon for chill or romantic outings. Does it smell like summer and happiness? That’s exactly what it does! I love it❤️. Like waves and the sea breeze on my face. And I would buy another backup immediately (something I’ve never done before).

  • To be honest: if you let people smell it without seeing the bottle, many won’t say much. To me, it’s a watery mix of flowers and fruit, like melon or coconut, something to wear so no one notices what you put on. It’s not a powerhouse; the hype is about the packaging and the limited run. If you remove the bottle, it’s one of those that will be discontinued in two years due to low sales. And the price… it’s not worth the cost. I wouldn’t pay more than €30 for 50ml, even being generous. If you want it as a decorative object, the bottle is worth more than the liquid. This is my honest opinion, just as respectable as those who love it.

  • Very summery and cheerful. I tested it on hot days, and it accompanies without being overwhelming; it’s sweet but in just the right measure. It’s not a unique or complex scent, but it’s worth it. To my nose, the opening reminds me of La Nuit Tresor Nude; I detect a coconut note even though it’s not listed. I don’t recommend buying it blindly if you already own the other La Belle scents, because they aren’t the same.

  • Why didn’t this perfume make more noise? It’s gorgeous! Totally unique, starting fresh and aquatic with lots of water lily and iris. Some people smell coconut, but I don’t; instead, I get an unlisted fruit blending with the vanilla that wraps it all. Perfect for spring-summer, soft and airy; every time I wear it, people compliment me. I loved it so much I already have two backups because they almost discontinued it. What a pity it was limited edition… I can’t imagine a summer without it! A true gem👌🏼

  • Distinctive scent. That coconut note everyone talks about isn’t actually coconut; it’s a nuance of the water lily that smells like fig. It’s sweet, with a salty touch you sometimes don’t notice, creamy, aquatic, and ends up powdery. The sillage is moderate, but the longevity is good. It’s a beautiful fragrance; in my opinion, it’s an 8/10. If you get migraines, don’t buy it blindly; it’s not annoying but can cause headaches for some. I see it year-round; it reminds me of something from the late 80s, with a vintage vibe because of the powdery finish, nothing exaggerated. Edit: I took it to my mom’s house, and she said it smelled like cheap perfume.

  • Something weird happened with this one. It smells like summery aquatic coconut, but it’s so potent I only enjoy it in the heat. I absolutely love it! But I decided to exchange it because every time I wore it, people said it smelled terrible 🙁

  • I love it! Fresh but powerful, unique, and nothing like other scents. Perfect for spring and summer, but watch out—it has great sillage and lasts forever. The bottle is divine. It puts me in a good mood, it’s super cheerful, and perfect for daytime. I adore it.

  • Aromadicciones

Totally aquatic, mixed with iris and vanilla. The lily smells like banana and rich coconut, plus violets to reinforce what’s already there. Over time, it becomes powdery and more vanilla-focused.

  • Starts super fresh with that aquatic lotus flower, which I also love in Annayake’s Pour Elle. Then comes the iris, but without the makeup smell that I hate. Vanilla wraps everything up, and ginger adds a fun kick. It’s iris and vanilla with aquatic and spicy touches. It’s not very volatile, and if you layer it with other scents, it’ll come alive, so I don’t think it’s worth paying more than €140 on the resale market. On my skin, in extreme heat, it lasted six hours and you can smell it with any breeze. I’m not regretting it, but I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • I was looking for something long-lasting that wouldn’t give me migraines, unlike the fruity florals I usually tolerate. The salesperson showed it to me, and I fell in love instantly. I came back the next day, mostly for the sillage and that coconut note. What a great look! 👏👏👏

  • This perfume is so delicious that I couldn’t help but put a blotter in my glasses case so that every time I put them on, I could smell it. In the past, I felt it was a bad plan to discontinue this fragrance, but if it smells the same as the new Paradise Garden, then it should be repurchased. I see it as perfect for all occasions and it’s one of the ones I like to smell on my wife the most.

  • Manu_speranza

What a beautiful perfume. Floral, aquatic, fresh, but with the sweet touch of vanilla without being cloying. Luckily, I don’t feel it as suffocating. So feminine, summery, perfect to be a signature scent in spring and summer during the day only. I really love it.

  • Today I tried this perfume I bought blind. I must say it’s rich and special, like all JPGs. But it has a top-to-bottom protagonist of a very acidic fruit, like passion fruit or a very, very acidic peach (maybe an intense nectarine), which covers everything else. I’m not sure if it convinces me as much…

  • Beautiful fragrance, with a delicate coconut scent, leaves an incredible trail, lasts many hours on the skin, and is felt on clothes for days, highly recommended.

  • Jesica La Roja

I agree with fachaadi. I tried this perfume and sensed a predominant tropical fruit aroma, like passion fruit or mango, even though these fruity notes aren’t listed here. For me, it’s a very clear Floral Fruity scent.

  • Perfumadict

It has a complete aquatic vibe, like Ilia. It has a rare note that caused me to reject it. Let’s say it’s rich, but it’s not my style. The bottle is very eye-catching, but very expensive considering the 4-hour longevity.

  • Karen Campos

I wore this fragrance today because I thought it would be good for summer. I sensed a quite fruity-tropical opening, like a combination of mango, a bit of pineapple, maybe peach, and a pinch of melon… something like that, a cocktail of fruits that thrive in summer. As it dries down, that scent settles, but a note of coconut begins to appear, fruity and very realistic, nothing synthetic or like sunscreen. This is the part I enjoy most about the aroma because I’m a coconut lover and love its creaminess. Then I sense the sweetness of vanilla settling in, along with that earthy touch. I admit that the aquatic point accompanying that fruity cocktail, joining the coconut, vanilla, and earthy note, is always there, but it’s just… a point, since I don’t usually like aquatic perfumes. Regarding longevity and intensity, I must say it disappointed me a bit. I own other JPGs that are bombs on my skin, but this one hasn’t been. I’ve worn it for 3 hours and it feels quite weak and projecting only moderately. I’ll comment if it lasts my whole day, but I’m already thinking I should have brought a decant. It reminds me of Be Delicious Coconuts About Summer by Dior, but fruitier, and considering that one is an EDT.

  • VainillaDulce

This lovely perfume, being a Jean Paul Gaultier, feels so easy to wear; it’s not as loud or flashy as the brand’s fragrances usually are, embracing a bit of restraint here. La Belle Fleur Terrible seems like a beautiful bouquet of flowers with yellow tones and very tropical, aquatic brushstrokes. On the first spray, a very natural coconut water appears, which at times can be confused with velvety fig, perfectly accompanied by sweet and tropical fruits bathed in vanilla. A few minutes later, the striking flowers appear; undoubtedly, the water lily shines, but for me, besides light touches of jasmine, there are many yellow flowers that, as they meld with the skin, delicately turn powdery without suffocating or losing that fresh touch; the water lily always imposes itself with its innate aquatic characteristic. This is a juicy, radiant, and positive perfume, not too formal, perfect for many occasions. Although it’s sweet, it’s not cloying; I think it’s ideal for spring and summer, with a longevity of about 6 hours on my skin and a trail that’s moderate to low.

  • La Belle Fleur Terrible by Jean Paul Gaultier hits hard from the first second: fresh, sensual, with that playful vibe the house is known for. For many, it’s the lightest and most ethereal version of the La Belle line, yet it doesn’t lose the magnetism that makes it unique. In the olfactory map, it’s like a fresher, more aquatic cousin to the original, which is much denser and gourmand. Here, the story changes: it’s a siren, not a forbidden garden temptress. The opening is an explosion of aquatic water lily and iris, clean and crystal clear, like a blue sea breeze. Then come powdery iris nuances and soft vanilla, rounding out the composition without losing its transparency. It’s a floral-aquatic scent that doesn’t fall into the generic trap: it has sweetness, but always controlled. If there’s one point to criticize, it’s that its lightness can work against it: those looking for something intense might find it too soft, and the bottle, though beautiful, is a bit misleading because it promises more power than it delivers. In my experience, the longevity is moderate. It projects with subtle strength for the first two hours and then lingers as an intimate veil for about 6-7 hours on skin. It’s perfect for warm days, but it fades in the cold. Occasion: shines in summer or spring, outdoors. Ideal for daytime dates, seaside walks, casual outings, and bright offices. It’s not suitable for cold nights, very formal events, or enclosed spaces where you want to make a strong impression, because its character is more ethereal and delicate. Final verdict: 8/10. A delicious proposal for those who love aquatic scents with a sensual and feminine touch, without being common. Worth it for La Belle collectors or lovers of fresh fragrances with a floral soul. If you’re looking for something in the same line but with more strength and longevity, Olympéa Aqua by Paco Rabanne could be an interesting alternative.

  • diegomagadan

This is pure femininity in perfume form. To me, it’s the best perfume for women that exists. Intense notes, super floral and musky. The projection and longevity are top-notch. It’s a shame that, as happens in the industry, they realized it was too good to keep selling. They quickly launched another version called “La Belle Paradise Garden.” Even the cap and bottle are identical, but the performance is a disaster.
