  1. Looking out the window of a wooden cabin: in the dim light of candles, you see tree leaves filled with snow, and through them, a starry sky. After a few rounds of rum and a spiced dinner, you decide to go to sleep without first treating yourself to something sweet, some ripe fruit. And when you open your eyes, you realize all of that happened in your imagination just after spraying Halfeti Cedar. This fragrance feels so natural that it always gives the impression of scents extracted completely from nature. An excellent perfume with eternal longevity and huge projection that brings extreme elegance (just keep in mind it’s a mature and serious scent, so make sure to wear the right clothes). As time passes, it evolves from a slightly boozy touch to a drier, more refined one (it’s already as refined as it gets). If you’re looking for something easy and versatile, this isn’t for you. But watch out, it’s not strange or difficult: it’s a pleasant aroma that most people will like, even if not everyone will want to wear it. Halfeti Cedar, without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, I’ve ever owned. Blind buy? I’d say no. Is it worth the price? It depends. If you like niche fragrances and money isn’t an issue, you’ll never regret it.

Undoubtedly one of the best I’ve tried. Blind buy? No. Worth it? Depends but if you like niche and money isn’t a barrier you won’t regret it.

  3. What to add to the very accurate review by @SirCharlie, who I’ve always considered one of the best reviewers in Spanish and whose objective quality I never imagine I can match. Thank you, sir. The day I tested this fragrance, I knew it was something for me. It’s serious, sweet, and deliciously resinous. Balanced, potent, and long-lasting. My skin is quite cruel to most perfumes, but this one holds up well for over 16 hours, with a soft, prolonged dry-down that always leaves me satisfied, and it fades away only when it’s about to exhaust my strength. If you graft Halfeti onto Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford and crank all the levels up to the maximum tolerable level of pleasure, you get almost this. For a cold night out, it’ll make you feel wrapped under a thick black cloak of old-world luxury, and the next morning you’ll wake up nestled in its silk sheets, macerated with a soft Port wine. It’s mine!

Halfeti Cedar is the best Penhaligon’s has offered so far; Halfeti and Leather didn’t convince me before, but this one smells complex, rich, mysterious, and seductive. It’s woody with cedar, featuring a top note of pipe tobacco, clear spices of cardamom and saffron, and a slightly boozy fruity touch that, paired with a sweet and resinous base, sounds perfect. It’s strictly masculine, ideal for playing the winner and making an impression. It works great in cold or cool weather, lasts well, is pricey but worth it for the quality. It reminds me of The Blazing Mr. Sam, my favorite, but while that one softens, this one stays robust and woody. I love it, highly recommend trying it. Thanks to Gabriel Sánchez, a genius. Halfeti Cedar by Penhaligon’s is among the brand’s best as previous ones didn’t measure up. It’s complex tasty mysterious and seductive. Woody from cedar with quality pipe tobacco spices where cardamom and saffron are noticeable and a boozy fruity touch that with its lightly sweet and resinous base creates a sense of perfection. It’s strictly masculine for occasions where you want to play to win and leave a mark. Ideal for cold and mild weather with good performance and a high price that’s compensated by the quality. The only thing it reminds me of is The Blazing Mr. Sam but where that one velvets out this stays robust and woody. I love it I recommend it. Thanks to Gabriel Sánchez a real pro. Rating: 9.5/10.
