  I have to say I haven’t liked any Penhaligon’s fragrances, which is a shame because I would have loved to own one of those adorable bottles. I thought TWATA would be my thing since it smelled spicy and warm in the bottle, but on my skin it wasn’t spicy at all, just warm, and I didn’t like it. In the opening, I noticed tonka bean with incense and lightly wrapped in vanilla, but for me, the fragrance turned into an intense tonka bean and incense scent that I couldn’t stand wearing. Rating: 6/10.

  I have to admit, I haven’t liked any Penhaligon’s fragrances, which is a shame because I would have loved to own one of those cute bottles. At first, I detected tonka bean, frankincense, and a light vanilla, but it quickly turned into an intense tonka bean and frankincense scent that I couldn’t stand. Rating: 6/10.

  I’d say this isn’t for everyone; you have to like incense to handle the opening. After a few hours, everything changes. I doubt anyone would say it doesn’t smell exquisite, but you have to wait a few hours for it to happen. The first two hours can be tricky if you’re not a fan of incense. I absolutely love it, so it’s one of my most-used fragrances and has gotten me the most compliments.

  Usually, incense scents come with pepper and are sharp, but this one features vanilla—it’s softer, slightly sweet, and wearable without being overwhelming on hot days. I wish it lasted longer and projected more, but luckily it arrived and made me addicted to the incense note.

After a few minutes, the dry-down becomes super sweet, revealing a powerful and lasting vanilla. In short, it’s not for everyone, but it’s perfect for the bold who love vanilla.

It’s incredible; it lasts 12 hours or more and sometimes lingers on other clothes. The vanilla is sweet but not cloying; perhaps it’s the frankincense or the tonka bean, which also adds a woody touch, making it light and elegant. I wear it every day without feeling weighed down. I absolutely have no regrets. It reminds me of a church or an antique shop; I think if the Castle Vagabond existed, it would smell like this.

  I don’t know why Changing Constance isn’t more famous when this fragrance absolutely crushes it. A duty-free seller in Brazil recommended it to me since I’d never heard of it, and it was love at first sniff. I adore this scent: warm and sweet without being cloying, vanilla-spiced with a perfect, enveloping, delicate incense. Worth every dollar ♥

  I don’t understand why it doesn’t have the reputation it deserves, since it far surpasses Changing Constance. Thanks to the duty-free seller in Brazil who recommended it, I didn’t know it existed, and it was love at first sniff. I adore it: warm, sweet but not cloying, spiced vanilla with perfect incense, enveloping and delicate. Worth every dollar.

  Very good aroma, a blend of tonka bean, vanilla, and incense. It doesn’t feel heavy or cloying to me; I find it softer and safer, unlikely to overwhelm anyone. I don’t see a resemblance to BabyCat: YSL’s has a distinct suede note and creamy vanilla, whereas this one features a subtler vanilla and a more wearable, less smoky incense. Longevity isn’t amazing but it’s sufficient, around 6-7 hours, though the projection is a bit shy; it’s more of an intimate scent for yourself or close ones. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: 7/10h. Projection: 6/10. Versatility: 7/10.

It has nothing to do with BabyCat; the YSL version has suede and creamy vanilla, while this is more subtle with less smoky incense.
