Vibrato by Sospiro Perfumes

I bought Vibrato after trying a decant and an inspiration (Vibrant Dreams by Dua), which helped me understand the profile before committing to the full bottle. The fragrance is beautiful: it opens with a luminous citrus and an elegant floral touch. Ginger appears almost immediately, giving it a vibrant character, while the musk adds a pleasant cleanliness and the cedar provides a woody base that balances everything. Projection is good for about 3–4 hours and lasts 6–7 on the skin, with clearly superior quality. It’s definitely a gem of modern perfumery and fits in any collection.

It smells identical to Afnan Turathi Blue. I don’t notice any difference.

Well, it’s time to review the one considered by many to be the king of the moment. It’s the same DNA as Tygar but with steroids. Rich, long-lasting, and projects a lot, leaving a beautiful trail. It smells luxurious, like a mix of ginger and grapefruit, with a modern molecular base that’s key to the performance. Especially from a distance, it smells great; if you smell it very close, you notice a slightly more synthetic edge than Tygar, even a bit powdery, but I don’t see it as a problem—it doesn’t leave you indifferent, it’s easy to like, and very modern. The hard part is finding it at a good price, but if you like perfumes that make a difference, like an Imagination, an Aventus from 10 years ago, or an Oud for Greatness, this definitely belongs in the Olympus. If you can try it, don’t hesitate and don’t do what I did, which was discarding it due to comments calling it bad and ultra-synthetic, so I arrived late, but finally I have it. Before, I tested Tygar and Ingenious Ginger, and there’s no competition; this is the king of that DNA.

I don’t know if they’re worth it or not… But it’s an incredible perfume. Rich, powerful, and long-lasting. Plus, everyone who smells it on you likes it.

It’s one of the few that withstands extreme heat—I know because I live in Punta Cana, and this just refuses to give up. A tip: spray it on clothes you’ve already put on; it lasts forever regardless of the weather. It has good longevity and moderate projection, but it’s one of those scents that gives you energy every time you wear it. I’ve used it as a decant and will definitely buy the full bottle, though I want to try the Basso from the same Sospiro line once this runs out. Fun anecdote: I sprayed it at 10 AM, and at 3:30 PM in a store, others smelled better, but by 5 PM back at the office, I was back to being the star. As of 11:17 PM while writing this, I can still smell it while everyone else has already left. 100% recommended, I see it as unisex. A masterpiece. 10/10.

I already own Tygar, but I absolutely love the first two hours of Vibrato: a sweet, refreshing, realistic citrus, like those ‘Sparkling’ drinks—a better-improved version right out of the gate. It lasts more than 8 hours, but here’s the problem for me: those remaining 6 hours are terrible. A very strong Ambroxan with lots of Hediona that my nose finds unpleasant, and the patchouli adds a dirty touch. Unfortunately, the Bvlgari next to it is more restrained but justifies its price with the precision and quality (yes, synthetic) of its ingredients.

I absolutely loved it; it feels like a superior version of PDM’s Sedley. I’m captivated by the bright citrus, musk, and woods. Just be careful with the sprays because it can be overwhelming. If you’re looking for an affordable alternative, Thurati Blue is perfect; plus, it lacks that slightly annoying herbal note. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Sillage: 7/10, Value for Money: 1/10, Blind Buy: 10/10, Versatility: 6/10, Season: warm and temperate climates.
