A new release from Francis Kurkdjian, a fresh addition to the aqua family. Aqua Media comes in a gorgeous aqua-green bottle that perfectly matches its interior. It’s a green, herbal fragrance with a sharp edge; what I notice most is the lemon balm, a type of verbena that takes center stage. As it dries down, another green note emerges that I interpret as fennel. To me, it’s a more balanced and long-lasting version than the L’Occitane Verbena. Fresh, beautiful, very wearable, and totally unisex—perfect for spring and the scorching summer sun. I recommend it if you enjoy citrus, green, and fresh scents. The only thing holding it back is that it’s a bit overpriced and lasts about 3 hours on my skin, very little in the final hour.
Crystal clear musk with a green tint that evokes white tea, green tea, and aromatic infusions. It’s like an icy citrus herbal floral tea: luminous and ethereal. Francis Kurkdjian’s signature shines through in this oxygenated use of musk that we always crave; it’s like a glass of water that quenches your thirst and makes you smile from within, cheerful and fresh, a pure breath. Iced green tea, refined, and highly elegant.
Pure crystal musk luminosity in a slightly greenish interpretation. It creates that atmosphere of white or green tea, aromatic infusions… it’s an icy citrus, herbal, floral tea, and above all luminous and ethereal. Francis Kurkdjian’s signature is noticeable in that oxygenated use of musk that’s always welcome; it’s like a glass of water that quenches thirst and makes you smile from within because it’s cheerful and fresh, a breath of fresh air. A new essence from Francis Kurkdjian in the aqua family. Aqua Media comes in a beautiful water green bottle that matches its interior. It’s green with a herbal, prickly touch; what I notice most is lemon balm, a verbena that takes the lead. As it dries, another green aroma appears that I interpret as fennel. It’s perhaps a more balanced and lasting version than the L’Occitane verbena. Fresh, pretty fragrance, very wearable, unisex, great for spring and summer sun. I recommend it if you like citrus, green, and fresh scents. The only thing that puts me off is that it feels a bit overpriced and lasts about 3 hours on my skin, very close to the skin in the last hour.
A pomelo bergamot from the nineties, very intense, balanced with bitter parsley notes. For me, it’s a teddy bear to rule them all, to find and attract them in a dreamy nineties setting with crystal-clear, iridescent reflexes like the DKNY ad.
I didn’t like it much. It smells very much like cilantro to me, it feels weird. I’ve tried and worn it 3 times hoping it would change, but nothing, it literally smells like freshly chopped cilantro. Almost like Fluidity Silver but more pronounced. The Media (another complaint: confusing names) doesn’t seem wearable to me; it’s not attractive or comforting.
A 90s-style pomelo bergamot, well-intense and balanced with bitter parsley notes. For me, it’s a teddy bear for all of them, to find them and lure them into a 90s dream of crystal-clear and iridescent reflections, like the DKNY ad.
Smells only like cilantro…
Green Tea? Did they give it a facelift? What a way to rejuvenate a formula Kurkdjian already used back in 1999 with his Elizabeth Arden Green Tea (which remains a delight and doesn’t look dated). Aqua Media Colonia Fuerte is a facelift of the classic with 2 or 3 notes that update it, though I see some say it smells like cilantro; I don’t believe them, it’s there but balanced with a bergamot and a very MFK musk. It’s very wearable, not annoying, with medium-low trail and decent projection for the first 2 hours, then it becomes personal. It gives me peace, but I’m not sure it justifies the price; I’d prefer it over the Elizabeth Arden version.
The typical MFK DNA, nothing new. It’s not memorable and won’t go down in history; it’s not Chanel’s breath of fresh air. But if you’re looking for something fresh for spring and summer, green and citrusy, give it a try.
It’s Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea, but with luxury, quality, and extra longevity.
A very pleasant green fragrance, in the vein of green tea notes wrapped in citrus. It’s enjoyable and relaxing, more for personal enjoyment; it doesn’t have an impactful projection. Excellent longevity, over 10 hours, but it works more like a second skin or a very elegant cologne. I’ve read that it’s the highest-quality Green Tea from EA, and it’s absolutely true. Longevity 10/10, Scent 9/10, Projection 4/10. If there were a version with better projection performance, it would already be in my collection!

I have a colleague who collects luxury perfumes and lent me this one. The trail and longevity are top-notch. Plop twist de la historia: I also gifted my girlfriend GREEN TEA by ELIZABETH ARDEN, and guess what? It smells 95% the same. Since the same perfumer created both, it’s no surprise they tweaked the formula to last longer and justify a price 15 times higher.
