Exact clone of Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her. I tested it at Zara and it lasts hours on the skin; brutal longevity. A laughable price for 100 ml. I wanted to grab the original, but I’ll buy the Zara clone without a doubt.
Exact clone of Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her. I tested it at Zara and it lasts hours on the skin; brutal longevity. A laughable price for 100 ml. I was tempted to buy the original, but I will definitely buy the Zara clone.
It sounds very masculine despite how sweet it is. I would consider it unisex. I detect a burnt tobacco scent that I can’t stand. EDIT: I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ll give it another shot once the quarantine is over. EDIT 2020: I already bought it, and I don’t smell the ashtray scent I had when testing it. I don’t know if they changed the formula (I have the 2020 bottle), but it smells sweet, like chestnuts, with a slight kick that I think comes from the sandalwood, which I believe they lowered MUCH in the new presentation. I remember it had a brutal kick when I first tested it. Now I notice it’s light. Extremely delicious. It still seems unisex to me, though not in a ‘very masculine’ way. Just unisex. I love that it’s a rare scent to perceive.

Maybe they changed the formula (I have the 2020 bottle), but now it smells sweet, like chestnuts, with a light kick that I think comes from the sandalwood, which they lowered MUCH in the new version. Before, it burned strongly. Now it’s light and extremely delicious. It still seems unisex to me, not in a ‘very masculine’ way. Just unisex. I love that it’s a
It smells like Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her. At first, I hesitated because it’s a rare scent, somewhere between liking and not liking, but it has me hooked. Since it’s identical to that one and lasts 8 hours on my skin, I bought it for the price. It smells special and nocturnal to me. After the initial floral opening, the chestnut and whipped cream notes remain with a smoky touch that fascinates me (just like with Margiela’s By The Fireplace), although it’s right on the edge of disgust. Sandalwood comes through in the base. Brutal quality-to-price ratio. It deserves a spot in my collection because it’s so interesting to my nose. EDIT: Over time, we fell in love. Now its warm, smoky, and sweet scent is a must-have for autumn-winter. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 8/10, Quality/Price 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
It smells like Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her. It’s a fragrance I hadn’t bought before because it’s so peculiar that it sits right on the edge of liking and not liking, but strangely, I’m hooked. When I found out this Zara version smells the same and lasts forever (about 8 hours on my skin), I decided to buy it for the price. It smells very special and nocturnal to me. After the initial floral and rich opening, the chestnut and whipped cream notes remain with a burnt touch that has me addicted but is right on the edge of disgust (just like with Maison Margiela’s By The Fireplace). Sandalwood comes through in the base. The quality-to-price ratio is brutal if you like the scent. It deserves a spot in my collection because it’s so interesting to my nose. EDIT: Over time, this perfume and I have fallen in love, and now its warm, smoky, and sweet scent is a must-have for autumn-winter. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 8/10, Quality/Price 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
It smells exactly like Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her, and the longevity is crazy. I sprayed it four times at 7 PM, and when I woke up at 10 AM, the first thing I noticed was the scent. The longevity is absolutely incredible.
It smells identical to Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her, and the longevity is impressive. I sprayed it four times at 7 PM, and when I woke up the next day (at 10 AM), the first thing I noticed was the perfume. The longevity is absolutely incredible.
I bought it because they said it smells exactly like Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her, and honestly, they’re 98% identical. On the Zara version (even though it’s not listed in the notes), I detect a sharp, acidic citrus note when it dries down that I absolutely hate, which doesn’t happen with the original. That’s why I got rid of the Zara bottle. The longevity is insane for just €16; it lasts on my skin for about 8 hours. I recommend trying it and comparing it before spending money, because even though it’s a dupe, it’s not 100% identical, and that acidic note might turn you off.
My review is for the 2020 fragrance, whose packaging doesn’t look like the image. This is a longevity bomb. It opens with milk caramel and vanilla, then chestnut notes emerge, and it dries down to skin with woods. It’s sweet, sweet, sweet; it can get cloying, so don’t buy it blindly. But its performance and longevity are those of a much more expensive fragrance. It easily lasts 12 hours with good projection for the first 8. Without a doubt, one of my best Zara purchases.
Review from 2020, and watch out: the bottle doesn’t match the photos. What a longevity bomb! It starts with milk caramel and vanilla, then the chestnut note comes through, and it closes with skin and wood. It’s super sweet, almost cloying, so don’t buy it blindly. But its performance is luxurious: it lasts a solid 12 hours and leaves an 8-point trail. Without a doubt, one of my best Zara purchases.
I bought the 2020 edition because of the social media hype, but it only lasted a couple of hours. It smells sweet and artificial, though at least it doesn’t have as much alcohol as the other Zara scents. Not worth it—I’ll keep it for home use only, not for going out.
I bought the 2020 version after the social media hype; I only noticed it for a few hours, and it felt sweet and artificial. The good thing is it didn’t have as much alcohol as the other Zara ones. It’s not worth it; I’ll finish using it at home, not for going out.
A resounding NO for me; I’ve never had such a negative reaction. Everyone is different and tastes vary. I bought it blindly based on positive feedback and YouTube hype, looking for something pleasant and cheap to wear while studying in the fall without spending on Chanel. It seemed to have it all: longevity, sillage, and an affordable price. I don’t know if it smells exactly like This Is Her, but if it’s identical as people claim, my verdict is absolute: repulsion toward Zadig & Voltaire and this Zara perfume. I imagined something ‘cozy’ and sweet for the cold, but instead found a rancid, aged scent—a coarse sweetness mixed with extinguished cigarette butts. It’s terribly unpleasant, like something Miss Umbridge would wear; intrusive and even nauseating. Maybe I’m too much of a fruity-floral lover to appreciate it, but I just can’t handle it. Blind buys aren’t safe, and a warning to sweet/oriental/gourmand lovers: test it in-store before throwing 15 euros in the trash.
For me—and I emphasize for ME—it’s a resounding NO; I’ve never had such a negative reaction. After this, it’s clear that everyone is their own world and that taste is subjective. Each of us perceives our surroundings uniquely, even sensorially. This was my personal experience. I bought it blindly due to positive feedback and YouTube hype. I was looking for a pleasant, affordable perfume to study in during autumn, without spending on Chanel. It seemed to have it all: longevity, sillage, and an economical price. I don’t know if it smells like This Is Her since I haven’t tried that, but if it’s identical as many say, here are my two statements: absolute repulsion toward Zadig & Voltaire and this Zara perfume. I imagined a cozy, sweet perfume for cold weather, but I found a rancid, aged scent, a coarse sweet mixed with extinguished cigarette butts soaked in water. It’s terribly annoying. I imagine Miss Umbridge wearing this perfume, an intrusive aroma that makes me nauseous. Overly repulsive and cloying. Maybe I’m too much of a fruity-floral lover and a basic person to appreciate this supposed masterpiece, but I can’t handle it. It doesn’t seem like a safe blind buy, and here I warn those like me who love sweet/oriental/gourmand scents: if you can, try it in-store before buying. It’s not the time to throw 15 euros in the trash.
I perceive a masculine note, like an aftershave, which I absolutely hate. I wouldn’t buy it.
My first Zara perfume; I was so surprised that I bought a refill just a few days later. I love the price-to-quality ratio; it lasts well and projects moderately. The scent is smoky praline, reminding me of Nina (the apple one) but without the fruity and citrusy parts. I’ll keep trying Zara perfumes. Edit: I hate it, lol; it ended up cloying and disgusting me completely.
I hate this perfume on my skin. It starts with super sweet praline and caramel notes, but then turns sour, slightly citrusy and burnt. I really disliked it, so I gifted it to a friend who loves it and it suits her much better. What a pity, because I remembered loving This Is Her 🙁
I hate this perfume on my skin. It opens with super sweet praline and caramel, but then turns sour, a bit citrusy and burnt. I really disliked how it settled on me, so I gifted it to a friend who likes it and it works better on her than on me. What a shame, because I remembered liking This Is Her.
I’d say it improves after a few hours—the spices fade and it becomes sweet, like a cake or cookie, not fairground candy. It’s the tonka bean doing that. Honestly, it gets much better and lasts a long time on the skin. I’m not sure about the projection since no one mentions it and I haven’t noticed anything unless someone smells my arm, but the longevity is good at least up close.
Well, I just put it on at Zara and it smells weird. It smells salty with spices. I love strong, unusual colognes, but this one takes the cake. It has a strange scent, like mixing praline caramel with salty food; it smells very spiced, like a village sausage with anise, lol. It’s strong and seems like it’ll last a while. It’s a peculiar aroma; I think besides the listed notes, there’s something else going on—I don’t know where that spicy smell comes from.
Luckily I bought the set with samples, and this was the worst of them all. It smells weird; my daughter said it smelled burnt. I don’t get why influencers think it’s a treasure. If you can, try it before buying.
The first thing you smell is praline and salt—don’t panic, the salt doesn’t make it salty; it enhances the sweetness, just like in cooking. There’s a creamy, milky note, and the sandalwood adds woodiness so it doesn’t feel sticky or unbearable. As it dries down, it settles into vanilla and caramel, and because it softens, it lasts longer. Projection and longevity are average, depending on how you apply it. I bought it because people said it was identical to This Is Her, but I haven’t tried that one. This is the special edition with the pink ribbon and burgundy box.
