Just received a decant. Thanks Pepe Villalobos and I have to say I gave it to my mom because the scent feels too feminine to me. At first it smells like medicine in syrup a bit strange then it gives way to a subtle mix of milk and vanilla like a dessert. But very heavy on the feminine side.
Fève Délicieuse what a beauty you are. The nicest new doll smelling perfume in a niche version I’ve ever felt. Its opening is exquisite with a very subtle lavender and light touches of mint but that phase lasts barely three minutes. Every minute you wear it gets sweeter but not a cloying sweet rather an enveloping and comforting one that makes you feel wonderfully well. I detect a toffee-style caramel mixed with one of the best tonka beans I’ve ever smelled and a praline that gives it a very pleasant chocolatey touch. The vanilla is one of the most beautiful and highest quality I’ve ever tried in my life. In its dry down it has woody notes soaked in a glass of milk… edible sometimes sweet liquor other times… but it’s a scent that doesn’t let you go unnoticed it’s magnificent. I’m happy to have it.
Review of the first version (Dior is restructuring its Privée line). The brand wanted to recreate the sweet/bitter duality of the tonka bean and in my opinion they succeed; the scent oscillates between sweet nuances and darker serious ones. It reminds me a bit of Bvlgari Man Black Essence for that dark cocoa touch (one of my favorite notes in this Dior) and also of Pure Tonka with that mint-lavanda opening and subsequent gourmand development. Maybe this Dior is superior even though it costs three times as much. At first it’s lively and invigorating (fresh) before drying down to a warmer scent. The cherries (liqueur) mint and touch of freesia give life to the opening; then leather and woods make the scent heavier. Throughout the development there’s tonka and cocoa though for me the caramel vanilla or benzoin aren’t as predominant. With so many declared sweet notes I feared it would be cloying but it’s well-balanced. Due to its character it might not be for daily use and due to the price it’s hard to recommend for all budgets (better to split a large bottle) but it’s certainly a good perfume. High performance in longevity and potency.
After comparing the masterpieces Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford and Vanille Insensée by Atelier Cologne with Fève Délicieuse by Christian Dior the latter simply smells like a freshly unpacked Doctor Johnson dildo. That’s why I think Fève Délicieuse takes third place Tobacco Vanille second and Vanille Insensée first. Given that Tom Ford needs an atomization of Royal Oud by Creed for its optimization.
A sweet fragrance with endless longevity… The tonka bean in its purest form an incredible aroma. It’s a masterpiece by Dior. But be careful it’s too sweet caramelized and can be quite overwhelming if you don’t know how to tame it.
He heard nothing but rave reviews and as a gourmand addict I was hoping for a revolutionary find. Spoiler: total disappointment. It smells great and has brutal projection and longevity among the best I’ve tried. But is it original? Not in the slightest. That praline with chocolate tonka bean and vanilla is such a recognizable scent that dozens of similar things have come out this year. They wanted to smell like dessert with that extreme sweetness but there were better options on the market. It’s the least interesting jewel in the Dior Privée line; there are real gems but this is the least original. If you want to smell like super-sweet tonka bean and vanilla all day with a nuclear trail and don’t mind paying the price you might like it. In my opinion it’s cloying unoriginal and the least interesting in the collection. Use it with moderation; it has atomic potency.
I’d heard nothing but great things about this fragrance. As a gourmand addict, I was hoping for something new. Spoiler alert: total disappointment… It smells great and has brutal projection and longevity, some of the best I’ve ever experienced. But is it original? Absolutely not. That praline-chocolate, tonka bean, and vanilla scent is instantly recognizable. While the tonka is pleasant and dominant, last year saw so many similar releases with this extreme dessert-like sweetness… It’s the least I’ve liked from Dior’s Private Line, which has true gems; this is the least original. If you want to smell like super-sweet tonka bean and vanilla all day and don’t mind paying the price, you might like it. In my opinion, it’s cloyingly sweet, hardly novel, you can find similar designer fragrances, and it’s the least interesting in the line. It must be used with extreme moderation because it has nuclear potency.
Today I was able to try this perfume thanks to a decant sent to me. I’ll be very brief: it’s a clear copy of Shalimar Parfum Initial. Identical. End.
I liked it at the 8-hour mark. Something curious happened: I expected chocolate and spent about 5 hours smelling bergamot with sour cherry… I felt disappointed… and then, when I forgot what I had on, I smelled a chocolatey scent that I searched for until I realized my Feve Delicieuse had come back to life in a totally different and spectacular way.
I love it! It’s very similar to L by Lolita, smells great, and lasts a long time on the skin. I will definitely repurchase.
I still don’t know if I like it or not, but for now, I can’t stop smelling my arm. It’s addictive, a scent that even if you don’t know if you like it or not, you need to smell it constantly; I’ve never experienced this with any perfume before. It’s incredible how many notes are perceived, but all perfectly well assembled. I think it has incredible longevity and sillage.
My first impression is a plastic, dark scent, very similar to tires (which usually overwhelms me and causes nausea), with a slight powdery note and something sweet. I thought it was my nose because I didn’t pick up any cocoa like many mention. It has a curious aroma: it opens with a citrus that distracts you, then develops in a very interesting way.
This fragrance is so particular. A powdery cocoa scent that’s my general impression… you also feel the tonka bean the sandalwood… a bit of lavender in the opening… but what stays on your skin and you smell for hours is the raw powdery cocoa. I recommend trying it before buying it; it’s not for everyone’s taste.

Since this perfume was featured in many gourmand recommendation videos I decided to order a sample. It wasn’t love at first sniff nor the second nor the third… It wasn’t what I expected. It took me months to start appreciating it and to this day it still hasn’t gone crazy for me. Fève Délicieuse has a spicy balsamic and aromatic opening. The sour cherry and especially the lavender dominate on my skin all the time. In the dry down we have a wonderful sweet and powdery tonka bean that mixes harmoniously with the vanilla with creamy touches of caramel benzoin and chocolate. I don’t perceive the coconut or the flowers. I don’t know if it’s the leather the mix of notes or what but it reminds me of baby powder with something plastic-y I don’t know it just doesn’t convince me I can’t help it. On my skin it flirts with gourmand but never fully commits; despite having sweet notes and very gourmand nuances no dessert comes to mind for me like it does with others. Maybe that’s my problem I expected something more edible and so much lavender ruins it for me. Very warm elegant and unisex. The trail is low and longevity is high about 7 hours on me while other family members get several more hours. I wouldn’t buy it for myself but one family member fell in love with it. The most amazing thing is that he usually doesn’t wear perfumes and likes fresh clean scents. He has one by Loewe Calvin Klein Dolce Gabbana and a couple by Zara. So when he said he wanted this I was blown away. So this Christmas I managed to get a 40ml bottle. I love how it smells on his skin; in fact thanks to him I can put it in ‘favorites’ because if it were up to me I’m not sure if it would be there.

I got a sample and I get the impression it’s about 80% similar to Naxos by Xerjoff; I don’t know if it’s me or if others feel the same. The scent is pleasant; however, I expected something different that I’d never smelled before, but that’s not the case. Just to be clear, I’m not saying it smells bad, as I really like the Naxos accord, but I was expecting something else.
It doesn’t resemble A*Men Pure Tonka, L’homme Ideal EDP, Back to Black by Kilian, or Tobacco Vanille. I wonder if those who claim it smells like them have actually smelled the others, because I own all of them, use them often, and know them well; they don’t even share a breath with Feve Delicieuse. I was disappointed: based on the notes, I expected it to be sweet, but it smells of tonka bean and vanilla with cocoa, yet it’s not gourmand—it’s a spicy oriental. The scent is weak and basic and doesn’t cost what it’s worth, honestly, no matter how Dior it is. Its sillage is extremely low and the longevity is a sigh. Maybe my bottle was a super reformulated batch, because otherwise, I can’t understand the hype.
I have a few milliliters of this gem and it’s pure delight. Today’s tastes are breaking genres: if you don’t like cherry or lavender, look away, it’s complex on my skin. Dark chocolate comes out later. It starts strong with mint, lavender, leather, and cherry, then becomes warm and creamy, which is my favorite part. Now I understand why people say it’s similar to Shalimar Tonka and BTB by Killian. I own both, and they ride the same wave without being dupes, each with its own nuance… but if Feve were to make flankers (as they often do), it would be Feve Delicieuse Tonka and Feve Delicieuse Tobacco, and then I’d say they’re flankers. It lasts a long time on me, but I agree with several comments: it’s not worth the price, and if you’re looking for a pure gourmand, go for Dolce Passione, where the cherry and chocolate are well-made and wearable. If you have a chance to try Frenetic by Emirate, that’s definitely a good dupe.
