Just tried it and I was completely surprised: it’s an absolute gem. Not overpowering, but enveloping, seductive, and sweet without being cloying or gourmand. The bright notes are elegant, nothing scandalous. Perfect for dates; if you spray it on your clothes, it gives you an extra edge. It’s a shame they don’t give it the spotlight it deserves. To me, it’s a hidden treasure. I recommend it 100%.
Spectacular and severely underrated fragrance; my second favorite designer scent. It carries that sweet yet elegant Armani DNA reminiscent of Code or Emporio Armani He, but mostly its predecessor, Diamonds EDT. It also vibes like Bleu de Chanel (not sure if EDP or Parfum, as I’m not a huge fan of that line, but there’s a resemblance) and strongly recalls L’Homme Ideal EDT by Guerlain. However, this Diamonds Black Carat is warm, resinous, and slightly woody thanks to exquisite gaia wood, with a subtle red fruit note that smells like strawberry to my nose. It’s incredibly sensual, formal, easy to love, and addictive. The dry down is marvelous: a chocolatey, sublime balsamic air that’s refined yet quite masculine. A masterpiece by Jacques Cavallier. Scent: 9.5/10. Highly recommended.
