Armani Perfume Masterpiece: They took Diamonds and evolved it into something more mature and formal.

Spectacular and sadly underrated fragrance. It’s my second favorite designer scent. It carries that sweet yet elegant Armani DNA reminiscent of the Code line or Emporio Armani He, but logically, it most resembles its predecessor, Diamonds EDT. It also has a strong vibe similar to Bleu de Chanel—I’m not entirely sure if it’s the EDP or Parfum, as I’ve never been a huge fan of that line, but there’s definitely a resemblance. Similarly, it reminds me quite a bit of L’Homme Ideal EDT by Guerlain. However, this Diamonds Black Carat is warm, resinous, and slightly woody thanks to exquisite gaia wood, with a subtle red fruit note that smells like strawberry to my nose. It’s very sensual, with a touch of formality, extremely easy to love, and highly addictive. The dry down is marvelous: a chocolatey, sublime balsamic air that’s refined yet quite masculine. A great work by the great Jacques Cavallier. Scent: 9.5/10. Highly recommended.

Just tried it and I was completely surprised: it’s an absolute gem. Not overpowering, but enveloping, seductive, and sweet without being cloying or gourmand. The bright notes are elegant, nothing scandalous. Perfect for dates; if you spray it on your clothes, it gives you an extra edge. It’s a shame they don’t give it the spotlight it deserves. To me, it’s a hidden treasure. I recommend it 100%.
